Web Forms :: How To Change The Back Color Of The Default Menu

May 13, 2010

I created a new ASP.NET web site project. The project starts with a number of default features and one of them is a menu. The menu has a blue/slate color to it.I want to change the color but can't find where it's defined. I checked the Site.css that is created and cannot find the value that is coloring it.

Change The Default Color Of The Listitem Selected On A Listbox?

Jun 16, 2010

I have a listbox on the parameter selection page.

The .css style for the listbox is defined as:

.listBoxStyle
{
font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica;
font-size: 100%;
text-align: right;
}

As a default, there is an item selected on the listbox. But the colour appears blue of the item selected. I want to change the colour of the selected item.

Web Forms :: Changing Mouse Pointer To Hourglass And Change It Back To Default

Feb 3, 2010

I like to change the mouse as hourglass when the user click on the "search" button until the data is loaded in a datagrid. Then change the cursor back to default. I found many posts to change the cursor to hourglass but found nothing to change it back again to default after firing the button code. So I tried the following in the page_load() event,

btnFind.Attributes.Add("onclick",
"document.body.style.cursor = 'wait';");
dgResults.Attributes.Add("OnDataBinding",
"document.body.style.cursor = default;");

It works fine, the mouse changes to hourglass when i click the button and then once the datagrid is loaded it is changing it back to pointer but when i move the cursor it is again changing back to hourglass. it looks like it is working but not.

VS 2010 - Change Row Back Color In GridView Based On Value In Each Row Second Cell

Sep 14, 2011

I need to be able to change a row's back color in the GridView based on the value in each row's second cell.

But, I'm having some trouble looping through each row. I thought the following might work:

VB.NET Code:
For Each gvi As GridViewRow In Me.gvTechPPE.Rows
ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(Me.GetType(), "New Entry", "alert ('" & gvi.Cells(1).Text & "')", True)        Next

I ran that just as a test. An alert pops up, but only for the first item in the GridView. All the others are skipped.

Web Forms :: Cannot Get Menu To Display Any Other Font Color Properly

Apr 14, 2010

I'm not sure what is happening but I cannot get my menu to display any other font color than 'burgundy' even if I specify Black or White. Plus when I Hover over my main menu items, the sub-items have a background of white and appear empty... I know strange! Forms Data Controls :: Back Color Striping - Translate A Classic Asp Component To A 3.5 Chart Control

May 6, 2010

I am trying to translate a chart from a classic asp componant to a 3.5 chart control. I have two problems so far:

1) (hopefully easy) For the XAxis and YAxis titles (not labels), how do you make these titles bold?

2) (seems impossible with .net) How can I break up the background color so that certain parts of the background are different colors? In the legacy control, the original programmer could drill down control to the y-axis lines for coloring the background.

Example in a Y-axis with lines from 0-100 with 10 intervals:

a) 0-50: the background color would be BLUE
b) 50-80: the background would be GRAY
c) 80-100: the backgound color would be RED

As far as I can see, with the .net chart control, you can only have a single color or a single gradient of two colors, but not striped as I am trying to describe above. It seems that if an old classic asp componant has this striping functionality, the .net control has got to have it somehow.

MVC :: How To Get The Current Menu Tab To Have A Different Color

Feb 5, 2011

I am playing around with MVC 2.0 and have changed a few colors in the Site.css to suit my preferences but can't seem to get normal tab behavior for the menu to work. Most web pages that have tabs have a different color for the current tab, i.e. the current "Forums" tab on this web site is a different color from all the rest. Is there a way to easily hook this up or a hard way?

Web Forms :: How To Change Background Color

Jul 12, 2010

I'm trying to make a page, with a textbox, and a linkbutton. In the textbox you can enter any hex colour code you want, then you can click the linkbutton and the pages background will change to that colour. But I don't want the page to postback. I was trying this with themes, and then dynamically editing the CSS file. But neither has worked.
