I am inserting html into textbox. And whenever I enter anything into the textbox, I want it to see same as i entered in it. e.g. if i type
<b>bold text</b>
then it should show me exactly the same as follows

In FormView (insert) I have a number of textboxes into which number will be inputted. I need all these textboxes to add up and display the total in a Label which I can then insert into the database with all the individual values. I expected this to be a simple thing... Then it appears that the best way to do this is to use javascript, which I have never used! SO this is my attempt which is a combination of things I found on the net, In the head (Clientapp is the name of my form)

I ve design a page that has nine text box name txtSubject1 to txtSubject9 with the visibile properties to be false.I now have a method called Save1, Save2 to Save9 depending on the no of subject selected from the dropdown.But i think that is not professional bellow is a sample of how i did't and i believe the textbox can n number of an array that can be selected from the drop down. i need someone to put me through how to insert this into the database out side the fake method i ve used.

I have a column in my database which contains null value. Now after retrieving value from database i want to store that value in my txtbox. I am getting

problem is that if users enter text in TB and click on button it update columns data but if they don't enter any thing in textbox it enter space in Table like:

It has been recommended to use a WYSIWYG. The problem with a WYSIWYG is that it is all tied to 1 large text box. I just need a panel on the side that can hold Bold, Italics buttons to transform whatever text the user has selected to be Bolded/Italicized and then I need to be able to add in predetermined Superscripts and Trademarks where the cursor is as defined by the user. Now this would work with a WYSIWYG but I need this to apply to several (sometimes up to 10 fields on a page) text boxes on a page.
