I am sure this has been covered many times but I can not find what I am looking for and I am sure it is simple.
I am trying to insert into an access database table a date taken from a calendar control or a textbox that the calendar control writes to.
Currently I am getting a "datatype Mismatch" error.
I am using VS 2010 and VS 2005.
I have a webform with 5 textbox fields on it. Form successfully store data in database table.
I want to add 6th col of "Date" in database table. And when save my webform data. Today's date automatically sotred with save data in database table.
How it could be done ?
I have one text box for accepting date. I want to store date column in database is null when the text box value is null and how to bind the this null value to text box when i retrieve.

When i retrieve date from the datebase it appears as dd/MM/yy, that's fine. But i cannot insert a new date as same format?! It will only accept MM/dd/yy or yy/mm/dd.Right now i'm using this code to correct the error:

In gridview, one of my fields is date. (i have editing enabled).

Explain: The application works fine under Visual Studio 2008 IDE the insert into table works fine with no error, Also I tested with hosting provider and works fine with no problem. but now I have published the same exact app in a dedicated server windows 2003 with
IIS 6.0 .NET framework 2.0 with latest service pack I gave IIS_WPG write/modify access to the folder where MS-Access database is located and database but at the time of insert an error pop-up. I need to install in the Server or settings in the IIS to recognize my MS-Access db is it some office runtime that I am missing. (BTW I am using OLEDB connection string in my C# )

I can retrieve data off of it with no problem but when I try to insert is when it fails I thought the problem was Access Rights but I do not think is the case.
I have an Access 2010 DB that I have a table of RAW data in. In my scenero when table 'a' has been populated all the rows with the updatedate of Now() get moved to another table... the SQL is like this...

As you can see it is a very simple query but it does NOT return any rows. There are actually 404 rows with todays date in teh Append_Date column.
I am stumped as to why it does not return rows?

I have a form wilh couple of Drop downs and text boxes and a Data Grid View which displays data from Access Table. When I hit add button on the form, I can see the data being added to the Grid View. But when I close the form and open the Access Database File (.mdb), the respective table is empty. The Access Table is not being updated. Second time if I open the form, the Grid View is also empty.I am pasting my code here.

I ve design a page that has nine text box name txtSubject1 to txtSubject9 with the visibile properties to be false.I now have a method called Save1, Save2 to Save9 depending on the no of subject selected from the dropdown.But i think that is not professional bellow is a sample of how i did't and i believe the textbox can n number of an array that can be selected from the drop down. i need someone to put me through how to insert this into the database out side the fake method i ve used.

problem is that if users enter text in TB and click on button it update columns data but if they don't enter any thing in textbox it enter space in Table like:

I want if users don't enter any thing in text box it insert in table "NULL".How I can do it?
et me know which control is used to insert date of birth in to sql server database and it saved in which format(as date or datetime).If it is datetime then how to convert as date.
