Web Forms :: Image Disappear When Call Web Page Form URL Routing
Feb 12, 2011
My web page is having an asp.net chart control. It's generating fine for normal view. When I try to access same page using asp.net web forms URL routing even the chart is generated it wont appear. This is the working URL of browser [URl]
I have a problem with my site, and I'm using .net 4, web form routing
I have this route ,routes.MapPageRoute("JobPreview", "jobs/{jobId}/{pg}/{Position}", "~/default.aspx")
so, this page is working fine http://www.jobsagents.com/jobs/24651/1/automation-qa-engineer
If we remove the last segment of this url, it should be redirected to the custom 404 not found page, but in the deployment server it redirects to the default IIS error page for 404 errors
http://www.jobsagents.com/jobs/24651/1/, on my local machine it's ok, and shows my custom error page.
If we remove the last three segments of the url http://www.jobsagents.com/jobs it works fine on the deployment server.
I am using ASP.NET 4.0 Web Forms. I learned that, in order to optimize my Web Application for Search Engine, I must implement custom 404 page. But the way Microsoft tell us to implement custom 404 (within Web.Config file), that is not good for SEO. Microsoft says,
But when the page is not found, IIS issue 302 redirect to Page-Not-Found.aspx page which is not good. So, I implemented custom 404 page using Routing technique that is available in ASP.NET 3.5 SP1 and 4.0. I used the following router in Global.asax page
I put all my images in Images folder under my website. It works OK when I run it under development environment. When I deploy the application under IIS. all html image elements disappeard. What might wrong?
what i have is a web form with a number of input fields . But some of the fields have the magnifying glass search image so that the user can click and up pops some results to pick from.
So what i have is like the following
Item Code {image here}
Supplier Name
Supplier Code {image here}
and so on ..
so what i want to do is create a user control that i can call from any web page that has the image on it and the name of the label can be passed .
So the control would be a probably label with an image to the right of it and in the markup when the it is called , a label name is passed in order to display it on the page .. also label id and a click event on the magnifying glass because each label might have a different id and the click event on the magnifying glass for each is different .
when the page above loads, i have link buttons on the left and an empty maincontent area next to its right. what i want to do is display an entry form in the main content on click event of the link button on the left. the second form is as below.(form not based on master page).
how do i perform this task and if i wanted to display a different form in place of the first one that appeared in the maincontent area, how do i go about it?
I have web app written in .net 4.0 using url routing. It works fine in the development environment in VS 2010.But It's not working after publishing to iis6. I keep having HTTP error 404. I tried Wildcard mapping with v4.0.0319aspnet_isapi.dll and it's not working.
If I call newpage.aspx directly, I get a "URI Formats are not supported error"
I think its close, though. this solution is needed to get around the fact that skype does not have an https option for its skype buttons which tell the status of the skype user. Creating this proxy page will allow this to work without causing a 'mixed' security alert in the browser.
Using the below mention link, I am getting the captcha image with no issues in simple application but when implemented in a URL routing page, images are not displaying.
I've been doing research for a few days now and I know that I want to do ASP Routing over Rewriting. I found this great article:http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/051309-1.aspx and also
http://blogs.msdn.com/mikeormond/archive/2008/05/14/using-asp-net-routing-independent-of-mvc.aspx. I write in VB.NET, these two articles are written in C#. I converted the code, but I must be missing something because my routing doesn't work correctly.
I was able to download the code from 4guys and it works fine. I found some differences between my results and theirs when I stepped through error checking. I added the 3 lines to the web.config file:
Theirs shows the correct value of whatever you click on The requestContext variable, > HttpContext > System.Web.HttpContextWrapper > Request > System.Web.HttpRequestWrapper > PhysicalPath = "C:UsersNvXDesktopMyWebsiteWebResource.axd"
Theirs shows PhysicalPath = "C:\Users\NvX\Desktop\RoutingDemo\Products\Pavlova" (Pavlova was the link I clicked on)
When I query the database using LINQ, it never finds WebResource.axd and redirects to the NotFound.aspx page. When I load Default.aspx, I want it to load that page. If I type /tjnevis (which is a username in the database), I want it to go to a page where I can put together a profile, pulling the information for that username, which I can figure out. It's the routing that I'm having trouble with. If I could get it to work correctly, I think the PhysicalPath should look similar to the 4guys example I downloaded.
I have web app written in .net 4.0 using url routing. It works fine in the development environment in VS 2010.But It's not working after publishing to iis7. on remote server i'm getting error HTTP Error 404.0 - Not FoundThe resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. I tried in virtual directory and it's not working.[URL]
If a user enters [URL] into a browser, I need to redirect to [URL]
Is this possible to do?
I can't work out a way to do this as the routing engine is not executed for a physical page and in the page.aspx Page_Load method I have no way of knowing whether the URL was entered directly or was the result of a route.
I'm using Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010 Express. I have created a web page. It opened fine. I then added a table to my site.master page and add some text and images. Everything compiles and runs fine until I hit the Login button. I then lose all my images, which are stored in an "Images" folder in the Web Page path. I have tried giving allow users="*" in the authorization section of the web.config file. It changed nothing. I must also tell you that I moved the Login control into the table to position it better. I do not understand how that would affect the images though.
I have a site that has a stretched 100% background and the main site is in a container div. Something like this [URL] ....
You can see the gray background that covers all the page and a stable container with the site.So my problem here is that whenever i navigate to a different page the whole content page disappear for a moment leaving only the background of the site visible and then it appears again. Most of the site is based on a master page that is handling the background and the content page.
If you can see on the pre mentioned site when you click some page then it will not make it disappear but in my case all the content page goes away and then re-appears .
I've implemented WebForms Routing (using ASP.NET 3.5 SP1) and have a routed page that uses the AJAX Control Toolkit Slider control. The handle image doesn't always display, depending on the depth of the URL. I believe it may be something to do with the image being and embedded resource accessed via webresource.axd.
For example:
www.myapp.com/tours - will display the handle image www.myapp.com/tours/london - doesn't display it.
My routing is configured as such:
[Code]....
On viewing the HTML source the actual image is rendered as:
[Code]....
Been hitting my head against a brick wall with this for days?
i am using visual studio 2008. i am using menustrip control.
Private Sub submenu_Debit_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles submenu_Debit.Click frm_credit.Show() End Sub
i used this code. frm_credit is opened.but it minimized state. the menu form only displaying on the screen.when i do rightclik->minimize then only i can see the frm_credit.
i have a problem. i make a web application using template from visual studio 2010.. and then i try to make a Crystal Report. when i insert a crystal report viewer into a page suddenly the menu disappear.. crystal report run perfect and header is also appear (i use master page for header and menu bar), just menu was disappear.. but at that page have this java script error :
ASP.NET 3.5 SP1 with Web Forms Routing thru Global.asax (System.Web.Routing and RegisterRoutes)IIS 7
Everything is working fine in my local machine, but it gives the following error in my hosting environment:
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Routing, Version=3.5.0.0, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I did everything inside my web.config file mentioned in the following link:
I have an ASP.NET 4 Web Forms application that I am attempting to deploy to a production server (Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0).I have already deployed this application to a test server with the same setup and configuration successfully and all the routing worked great on the test server.I am now getting 404's on all routes on the production server. The only difference between the test and production servers is that the production server uses SSL which is handled at the load balancer level.I am able to access the pages without the "routed" urls (manually entering in the .aspx extentions, etc).Has anyone run into a similar issue? Is routing not supported in this type of environment?
I have developed a website wherein login control is placed on the master page and property - Hide when logged in is set to true, so that when a user logs in this control disappers.
However, my page doesn't display such behaviour, though I could login successfully.
I have a WebForm website that loads content pages in the form of a web user control (.ascx) using the querystring.
Sample url:
http://mysite.com/?page=/members/default or http://mysite.com/default.aspx?page=/members/default
The content files would be located at ~/contents/members/default.ascx.
Would it be possible and how to use the URL Routing to accomplish http://mysite.com/page/members/default and more folders down.
I have tried putting in the Global.ascx file:
[Code]....
In the default.aspx page:
[Code]....
Everything works fine if content is in the root folder and the url is http://mysite.com/page/about ==> http://mysite.com/default.aspx?page=/about.
Errors when trying a content that is in a subfolder and the url is http://mysite.com/page/members/default ==> http://mysite.com/default.aspx?page=/members/default.
