I have a fileupload control in a contentplaceholder in a masterpage. I have to preview the image whenever I browse an image beside it in an imagecontrol.
My application is running on a different server .So I can't give the filepath of my local system.
Also I don't want to store the image in any location and i'm not supposed to use any session variable to pass it to generic handler.
I am trying to put a default image in an Image control in asp.net and it should show that particular image on the page when no other image is assigned or no image available in Database.
I know how to display an image in gridview from image path in database. Now, I want to display an image in an asp.net image control from image path in database. Can anyone point me to a tutorial? I haven't been able to find one that explains how to do it when I don't know what the image path will be. The images are in the root folder.
I am having a bit of frustration trying to display an image save in a folder after upload in a datagrid. The image path is being return but the image does not displays. When I check the image properties is empty. THis is what I've been trying.
[Code]....
Here is where the image is being save: imagePath = "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\soweb\page_images\image1.png" If I change the path in the database to: page_imagesimage1.png, the image is display in the datagrid.
When I look at the master page in VWD, I can see the logo image. When I hit F5 to view in the browser, I don't see anything but a square with an X where the image should be. I've checked my path of the image by looking at its properties, and it is correct. The path to the image is "C:BalloonShopImages". In VWD, "C:BalloonShop" is my root/project directory. I also have the Images folder added to my project.
I Used AsyncFileUpload(one of Ajac Control Toolkit Controls) to Uploading User's Image. this works well. But i want to change the image url of an image contorl to uploaded image url. how can i perform that? I put Image control in a Update Panel:
[Code]....
in C# code I wrote these:
[Code]....
But it does not work. Image is like Previous. Note that ImageOperations.ResizeFromStream() method resizes and saves the image to a specefic folder. actually I should trigger a Postback to Update the Update Panel but How to do that. I usedUpdatePanelNew.Update(); but it does not work!
I am retrieving an image from SQL Server to display on a new page in my ASP.NET 4.0 application using this method (one of my posts):
How to display an image based on SelectedValue in a GridView?
I am then displaying the image in a new window using this method: (one of my posts):
How to display an image in a new window
What I am trying to do is get the height and width of the image so that the new window is created with the same height and width as the stored image. I guess there are two ways of doing this:
Create a height and width column in my database and store the values when the image is inserted into the database Retrieve the image from the database and calculate somehow the height and width just before displaying it and then resize the browser window to the right size.
I already have over 150 images in the database so that makes option 1 difficult because I would have to go back over my db and calculate height and width for images that are already in the db. Therefore I would prefer to use option 2, or maybe there's another option? How would I go about doing this?
iam looking for a good free WYSIWYG Editor. In the past i use the fckeditor. the new currently version ckeditor is not bad, but i have no image browsing or uploading. you need to buy the ckfinder. need a editor that is simple to include in my webform with image browsing and uploading.
Here is this thing which to me looks possible, but when I searched over the net I couldnt find anything.
I want to create a page where I can upload an image using any upload function and then display it. Now after diplaying it I want to select the hotspots for an image map. The coordinates of image map values are stored in a database.

I am working on image manipulation application.Everything is working fine, image is manipulated and saved in a folder in my application and when I want to display manipulated image the browser diaplays the previous image which does not exists in the folder. When I clear the browser history and refreshed the page modified image is displayed. The previous image and new manipulated image have same name. The image name is saved in database so i cant modify it.
I think this is a overused question, but I'm gonna ask this again. I have 800x600 Background Image. I want that background image to be fix whatever size of the browser how to do that ? Or if its a bad idea of having a fix background image, what is the best way to keep my website to contract. I mean not giving a user to think that I used so many panels, or divs or any containers if they scrolll up and down my web.
I am working on a web application. Some images are calling a web provider, which renders the picture, and send it to the client (the html looks like img ... src="/WebProviders/ImageHandler.ashx?.../>).The problem I have encountered is that both IE8 and Firefox 3.6.8 fire the request to the handler more than once, yet not consistently. I could not trace a pattern (the same image sometimes cause one and sometimes several requests).
I am developing a .Net Page that will contain a FileUpload box so a user can upload images to the site. I would like the functionality that when someone chooses a file to upload (before they actually upload the file), they can preview it on the browser. I know I can do this through some javascript magic, but is there anything that can be done using AJAX tools to gain this functionality.
i am using Jcrop to give users the option to crop there images, i have hit a small caching problem.
if you open an image which is already on the server and crop it. my jcrop works and crops the image fine but when i reload the image the old version is displayed. i have this inside an update panel.
so is there a way of removing the browsers cache before i reload the image?
