Having problems with the syntax of my ImageURL inside DataList ItemTemplate want to show images that I have stored in a database.
<asp:Image ID="Image1" runat="server" ImageUrl='showimg.aspx?ImageID=<%# Eval("id") %>'/>
Makes the img syntax look like this.
<img id="DataList1_ctl00_Image1"
src="showimg.aspx?ImageID=<%# Eval("id") %>"
style="border-width:0px;" />

In order to avoid having to pass Data that goes in the master page of my site before every view in every controller I have created an ApplicationController that sets the data on its constructor... the problem with this approach is that one of the viewdatas I must pass is the url of the profile Image of the current logged in user.
[Authorize(Roles = "Administrator")]
public abstract class AdministratorController : Controller
{
private IPortalAdministratorServices _servicioPortalAdministrator;
public AdministratorController()
{
_servicioPortalAdministrator = new PortalAdministratorServices();
ViewData["associates"] = _servicioPortalAdministrator.getAssociates();
ViewData["picture"] = _servicioPortalAdministrator.GetPic();
public AdministratorController(IPortalAdministratorServices service)
{
_servicioPortalAdministrator = service;
}
}
and so my companies Controllers wich inherits from AdministratorController now doesnt have to set all that Data upon every View Call.
[Authorize(Roles = "Administrator")]
public class CompaniesController : AdministratorController
{
private ICompaniasServices _service;
public CompaniesController()
{
_service = new CompaniasServices(new ModelStateWrapper(this.ModelState));
}
public CompaniesController(ICompaniasServices service)
{
_service = service;
}
The problem is this: When I try to manually access the Companies Controller without actually being logged in the method GetPic() wont actually be able to get the picture url cause no one is logged in.. and these method is getting called in spite of the Authorize attribute....so now, even after being logged in the ViewData for the picture url has been permanently set to "unknown.png" Some of this code isnt mine.. I just discovered the bug but cant figure out how to fix it.

I do a gridview code that when displaying the information that come from the database is not showing any error at all, but is not displaying the right picture. The problem, I think, is that the (Eval("....") is not reading the values that are coming from the DataKeysNames. Due to this the right pictures are not displayed. But in another column, just for testing purposes I was able to display the values from DataKeysNames with the Eval. So I do not know what is going on and to make worse browser is not giving me any error. So, this is the line that is not processing, reading or executing well:
ImageUrl='<%# IIF( (Eval("TUDTIWasItemUpgraded")) = "Yes", string.Format("~/Images/ItemUpgradedTo.gif"), string.Format("~/Images/ItemNoUpgradedYet.gif") ) %>'
And this is the complete code for the GridView

I have this code to insert a picture from database into an ImageControl on my ASP.NET form:
strConnString = "server=" + Server + ";database=" + DataBase + ";UID=" + UID + ";password=" + PASS + ";";SqlConnection MyConnection = new SqlConnection(strConnString);SqlCommand MyCommand = new SqlCommand("SELECT Pic FROM MEN WHERE ID=5", MyConnection);MyConnection.Open();SqlDataReader MyReader = MyCommand.ExecuteReader();if (MyReader.Read()){ byte[] m_MyImage = (byte[])MyReader["Pic"]; Response.BinaryWrite(m_MyImage);}
And I have this ImageControl on the form:
<asp:Image Width="88" Height="100" Runat="server" ID="m_Image" NAME="m_Image" />
but when I run the code, I see the picture big on the screen and not in my ImageControl.
i also put this in the form_load:
m_Image.ImageUrl = "MyPhoneBook.aspx?m_Image";my control is: m_Imagemy control ID is: m_Imagemy namespace is MyPhoneBook

I have a question about watermark extender. I used it to apply to a password textbox and confirm password textbox with password text mode. I found some site recomending using picture so that the word "Password" and "Confirm Password" will be shown in the textbox. For some reason, in the confirm password textbox, the picture doesn't show correctly. It is like some part is omitted. I try to check on my local computer and it was fine. But when I check on my computer at home. I got that weird problem. Why is it like that?

My code works fine when running it on my pc, but when I uploading it to the server, I always get the same error, I can't delete file I have just assigned into imageurl. However I able to delete it before using Image1.ImageUrl = sOldFileName; Somehow the server doesn't release sOldFileName after assignment it into imageurl. Here is the code, it's a pop up that gets the a variable from another page as a QueryString. The image blocks on the page load, before clicking the btnCrop_Click button.

I am currently working on an application that sets imageurl to an actual .aspx page. The code I use is:
imgCustService.ImageUrl = Me.ResolveUrl("~/PolicyHolder/CustServiceLogo.aspx?FI=)
However, when I set a breakpoint in the PageLoad function of CustServiceLogo.aspx I find that it never gets called and thus the image it serves is never displayed.
