Forms Data Controls :: GridView Doesn't Show Picture In Row

Aug 24, 2010

I do a gridview code that when displaying the information that come from the database is not showing any error at all, but is not displaying the right picture. The problem, I think, is that the (Eval("....") is not reading the values that are coming from the DataKeysNames. Due to this the right pictures are not displayed. But in another column, just for testing purposes I was able to display the values from DataKeysNames with the Eval. So I do not know what is going on and to make worse browser is not giving me any error. So, this is the line that is not processing, reading or executing well:

ImageUrl='<%# IIF( (Eval("TUDTIWasItemUpgraded")) = "Yes",           string.Format("~/Images/ItemUpgradedTo.gif"),          string.Format("~/Images/ItemNoUpgradedYet.gif")    )       %>'

And this is the complete code for the GridView

AJAX :: Watermark Extender Password Picture Doesn't Show Right Why?

Jan 18, 2011

I have a question about watermark extender. I used it to apply to a password textbox and confirm password textbox with password text mode. I found some site recomending using picture so that the word "Password" and "Confirm Password" will be shown in the textbox. For some reason, in the confirm password textbox, the picture doesn't show correctly. It is like some part is omitted. I try to check on my local computer and it was fine. But when I check on my computer at home. I got that weird problem. Why is it like that?

SQL Server :: Stored Procedure - Specify The Database As A Parameter?

Jan 26, 2011

I have an application with 40 or so separate databases that share a number of identical table schemas. Each is for a separate agency that performs functions identical (nearly) to the others. I have a number of reports that involve complex queries that each agency is required to produce. There is a "top-level" agency that would like to run the same reports but have the data consolidated for ALL agencies. I have tried having the query generated simply re-produced for each sub-agency by using a "UNION" ..

SELECT .... FROM [Agency].[dbo].[Table] ... UNION SELECT ... FROM [Next Agency].[dbo].[Table]....

This works for a few agencies selected/included but when they try to select all agencies or more than a few, it fails because the query is too large. I have tested a stored procedure:

CREATE PROC Test @DB AS
SELECT ... FROM [@DB].[dbo].[Table]...

Thinking I can build a smaller query by having up to 40 items of "EXEC Test (db) UNION EXEC Test (next db)" That also fails.... won't permit the database specifier as a parameter (plus, I don't know if I can do a UNION on the EXEC results).

May 28, 2010

I am inserting a picture into a database, using the following code.

switch (strFileType)
{
case ".gif":
strMimeType = "image/gif";
break;
case ".jpg":
case ".jpeg":
case ".jpe":
strMimeType = "image/jpeg";
break;
case ".png":
strMimeType = "image/png";
break;
}
//Store the content length
int iDocLength = filImage.PostedFile.ContentLength;
byte[] bDocBuffer = new byte[iDocLength];
//Get stream object
Stream streamImage;
streamImage = filImage.PostedFile.InputStream;
streamImage.Read(bDocBuffer, 0, iDocLength);
cmPerson.CommandText = "INSERT INTO photos VALUES(@referenceid, @image, @imgtype)";
cmPatient.Parameters.AddWithValue("@referenceid", iPersonID.ToString("000000"));

DataSource Controls :: Prevent Server/Database To Have SQL Stored Procedures Encrypted?

May 13, 2010

I have access to two servers, one with my development database on, and another with the live database on.

All SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, Views are encrypted on the live database (using WITH ENCRYPTION in my query)

However I'm concerned I might accidentally encrypt a bunch of SProcs on my development database meaning I can no longer view/edit that code.

I have full control over the server and database, and was wondering if there is a way I can prevent these from being encrypted, therefore throwing up an error when this is attempted?
