I have this code to insert a picture from database into an ImageControl on my ASP.NET form:
strConnString = "server=" + Server + ";database=" + DataBase + ";UID=" + UID + ";password=" + PASS + ";";SqlConnection MyConnection = new SqlConnection(strConnString);SqlCommand MyCommand = new SqlCommand("SELECT Pic FROM MEN WHERE ID=5", MyConnection);MyConnection.Open();SqlDataReader MyReader = MyCommand.ExecuteReader();if (MyReader.Read()){ byte[] m_MyImage = (byte[])MyReader["Pic"]; Response.BinaryWrite(m_MyImage);}
And I have this ImageControl on the form:
<asp:Image Width="88" Height="100" Runat="server" ID="m_Image" NAME="m_Image" />
but when I run the code, I see the picture big on the screen and not in my ImageControl.
i also put this in the form_load:
m_Image.ImageUrl = "MyPhoneBook.aspx?m_Image";my control is: m_Imagemy control ID is: m_Imagemy namespace is MyPhoneBook
but still dont work
using asp.net/vb.net 2005. when I am in VS and I run the application I have a .net Image control where I am displaying an image programmatically and when I run this in VS all works well, the image displays.
I have the site setup in IIS now on the dev server however the problem is when I run this program from there, just navigating to the [URL] then I can run the program and not getting any exception, however I am not seeing the image when I click the button to view the image. The code is something like this: [Code]....
again this shows ok when I am in the application in vs.net in debug mode but not showing at all when I just open a broswer window and view it as a user would, has anyone seen this before?
I'm still a basic user of ASP.NET and i'm trying to figure out how can i use the FileUpload control to give an uploaded image to the Image control.
The FileUpload control doesn't have an OnClick() event so when i hit Upload i don't know what happens with the uploaded file in the back.
what i'm trying to do is choose a file with the FileUpload control, preview it in the Image control and then save it in an SQL Server 2008 database in an "image" field.
I am doing a project where i need to capture user picture from clients webcam at time of user registration.
I have a program in C# windows application , which works perfectly but how to do the same thing in ASP .NET application.
I have an .aspx page with a gridview and a details view for looking up products. It is working perfectly. When I select "Details" on the gridview the details view accurately populates.I added an image named TagImageand need that image to display the correct one based upon the product changed when "Details" is hit. I'm using code behind and have checked my image directory string to make sure it is OK but the images do not display. Here is the vb.net code hehind I am using that successfully populates the details and was hoing it to display the picture:
Protected Sub GridView1_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs)
AccessDataSource2.SelectParameters("ProdID").DefaultValue = _
GridView1.SelectedDataKey.Value.ToString()
[code]....
how can i get full path of picture by file upload in client machine

Problem Statement:- I am getting "Unable to load client print control" error when i am trying to give print option from report server.
I am using a fileupload tool and an asp button. I want to upload image using fileupload, save it in a folder named images in my website and create its thumbnail view on the same page using VB.
View 1 RepliesMy web page produces a simple email that works correctly. I now want to put on image at the top the email. My image is xyz.jpg in folder images in my asp.net web site. Here is my code:
MailMessage mm = new MailMessage();

mm.Subject = "Sales Order";
mm.IsBodyHtml = true;
mm.From = new System.Net.Mail.MailAddress("ABC@gmail.com");

I'd like the image to appear at the top of my email. I tried using the <img> tags but the image never displays. I think it's the syntax I'm using for the url path to the image is wrong. How do I do this?
I have a stylesheet attached to a master page and a web user control attached within that master page.
here is the css code
#searchBox
{
background-image: url (image.jpg);
}
in the master page, i create a div inside the made called "searchBox". Then, I have a web user control inside that div. However, my background image does NOT load. How can I resolve this?
I have googled and searched the forums for an answer to this but nothing seems to fit.
I have installed the SP1 release of SQL 2008 Report Viewer Distributable and the SP1 of 2005 as well. My report viewer control is pointing at version 9.0.0.0 in the page references and web.config.
The problem is when clicking on the print icon i get the ActiveX control install prompt, click install it disappears briefly and I then get the "Unable to load client print control error". This is happening on my development machine.
Under the C:WINDOWSDownloaded Program Files folder i have a control with the name {0D221D00-A6ED-477C-8A91-41F3B660A832} I have tried removing this and allowing the ActiveX to install again, but this has made no difference.
I have the "Unable to load print control" on two live web servers so want the control working on my development machine before i tackle the issue on the servers.
i have sql-server-2008 database that contain image field that hold picture.
i have pictureBox control in my webform.
how to put picture from database to pictureBox control ?
(i work with C# asp.net FW3.5)
can i get any sample code or program ?
I've got a web app developed in VS 2008, using the .net 3.5 framework.Within the app I've got the reportviewer control. It's pointing to a report built in VS 2005 as my server uses SQL Server 2005, and therefore Reporting Services 2005.When I click the print button on the report viewer toolbar I get "Unable to load client print control".When I go to the report directly (http://servername/reports) and click the print button from there it works.I assume that it's to do with the versions I'm using. I do have the report viewer 2008 installed on the server.What's the best way to fix it? I'd rather not develop the app in VS 2005, but will if that's the only way.

what should i do ?
In one page I have image controls that are showing pics from the web site. This works fine but sometimes, and randomly some pics are not shown. I guess this issue could happen because Im using the IIS 5.1 in my development enviroment and it could be denying some requests. Anyway, I dont know exactly what is happening, so i request help of those who have workaround this fixture.
View 1 Replieswhen i click the picture that is displayed in the detailsView ImageField, the jquery lightbox pops up, but does not show the picture. it shows a red x in the middle of the lightbox. the same thing happens with the asp:Image control shown in the code below. The picture is stored in a SQL database Image datatype. Using master pages.

I have a async file upload control and I am doing client side validation for Image."OnClientuploadstarted" I am doing the client side validation.My validation is working fine but my problem is that the file upload control text box goes green (i.e file is loaded on the server) even if the validation fails which is I dont want.What I want is when the client side validation fails the file does not gets loaded on the server and the Async file upload textbox does not goes green.I have goggled but have not found a suitable solution.
View 4 RepliesI am uploading an image with AsyncFileUpload, it works well, but i want to show to the user the image which him just uploaded, but i am having troubles to make that work.I have tried the OnClientUploadComplete event which receive sender and args paramenters, but the second paramenter only have the file name (without relative url), lenght, but not the file name after saved on the server.I also tried ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock and call my own function in order to pass the url, but for some reason i can't select the img control with jquery, seems like that peace of code is executing in another instance of the page... not sure.
View 2 RepliesHave a look at below link. In that page if you mouse over on any thumbnail image a div opens with that image details with larger size. But there is a point to notice usually when an image gets downloaded in the browser we see that the image loads in parts from top to bottom. In this case the whole is loaded but in blurred state and gets cleared after fully downloaded.
