Web Forms :: Css, Master Page And Web User Control - Background Image Does Not Load?
Apr 26, 2010
I have a stylesheet attached to a master page and a web user control attached within that master page.
here is the css code
#searchBox
{
background-image: url (image.jpg);
}
in the master page, i create a div inside the made called "searchBox". Then, I have a web user control inside that div. However, my background image does NOT load. How can I resolve this?
On my master page i"m using a background image and everytime I go to a new selection from my menu, the background image is flickering on the master page, is there anyway to stop that background image on the master page from flickering?
I want to have the background of my masterpage (the master page for all of my .aspx pages) have a sort of gradient. I imagine the only way I can do that is with an image. Or maybe even some other design, but I want to move away from the "solid color" background.
Is the easiest way to do this just to make an image and set that as the background? What image size should I make it, because some users could possibly have the normal aspect ratio, or maybe a widescreen? What should I make it like so that it looks good on all computers?
Can I load an image into the master page based upon which content page in loaded? For example, site theme "animals", 3 content pages (bird.aspx, cat.aspx, and dog.aspx), when any one of these pages are loaded, I want an image to be loaded and displayed based on that page's name. Is the loading accomplised in the master page ot content pages' on load event?I am working in C#
I am building master page in the wwwroot directory and also i have AboutUs folder in wwwroot directory.
I have default.aspx file in AboutUs folder, and it is using master page , but when i run default.aspx file then it does not load header image, which is part of master page.
can someone tell me why header image does not get load? and everything else from master pages gets load?
I've got a web site that has a master page and that master page (mpMaster that has a user control ucControl1) which has a sub user control (ucControl2), this user control has a property which accepts a value. Now, I have a page that uses the master page and on this page I have another user control (ucPageControl), I need to find a way of setting the value in ucControl2 from ucPageControl. Is this possible at all?
On page load is there a way to enumerate all the nest user controls for that specific page load?
I'd like to be able to enumerate all the user controls that implement an interface, and call the interface method for the controls before asp.net passes control to thier page_load events.
The problem is from the master page level, any page in the app could be loading, and each of them could have any random user control, and I need the type reference to determine if they implement the interface, and to call the method.
I hv Declared two Master page one Is Base and Derived.. Base Page Load is working but when i hv written load controls in Derived Page Load Using C# it's not working..
I am tring to send form values to a page from a user control. I included the user control in a master page.When i use page.previouspage it can not get value. is there any way to send form data to a page from a user control included in a master page?
I have looked everywhere for how to do this and all I come up with is threads describing how to expose public properties. I have a USER CONTROL in my Master page. It is a search box with a text box and a dropdown for search type (last name, account number, etc) and a search button. When the user clicks the search button, I open a new page that displays the results. How do I pass the values from the USER CONTROL search fields to the new page? I would post code, but I have nothing to post yet since I don't know where to start. I have tried exposing the public property of the user control, but I don't know how to retrieve those values on the results page.
I have a user control that will basically be a header in most of my pages, but not all. I want some code in the user control to be run before the page load event of the page that holds the user control, but the page load event fires before the events in my user control. Is there a way around this?
I have a master page that has a text box at the top with a couple of words in it. Below that I have a horizontal menu and below that there is the content place holder.I wish to set a default background color on the master page so that each other web page that uses this master page will inherit this background color.How do you do set a background color on the master page?I can't seem to select the background to set a default background color because the controls I have placed already.
Does anyone know how I would go about calling a method found in the master page code behind from a user control's code? The user control is on the master page. The method I want to call is public.
I can easily call a method found in the pages code behind using:
I want to find out the page life cycle of a page contains: master page, content page, user controls. I have seem a guru posted the whole events sequence of such a page here in this forum but can't not find it again. give me the link to that post or provide answer directly?
Will master page build in visualstudio 2008 express edition gets changed when the page is opened in visualstudio 2008 professinal edition?
I had created a sample master page in visualstudio 2008 express edition and when I opened the same website on other PC to work on it, I had observed that that alignment of <div> tags gets changed in the masterpage. Why this is happening?
I have a page called "EDIT.ASPX" on that page it has come TextBoxes, Label and 3 User Controls. When the Edit.aspx page is loaded all the correction form Controls are loaded properly, even the User Controls loads with no problem. The problem that I am expericing is that on the User Control I have a CHECKBOX with AutoPostBack="true". Each time the user click the CheckBox the User Control disappear. NOTE: How do I fix this problem and eliminate my page control from vanshing. The user control needs to keep the same state as the Edit.aspx page when the checkbox is clicked. I need to be able to click the checkbox without loosing any data on the page rather it's the Edit Page or the User Control.
