I'm having a little trouble with the asp:MenuItem and Google's Chrome. Basically, when using just an ImageUrl (i.e. no text) the links don't work in Chrome. Here's my code

When I click the action link in IE the controller code runs but the div is NOT updated. Do it in ANY other browser and it works just fine. Is this (yet another) known problem/bug with IE??
this code does not work in any other browser other than Internet Explorer, I could tell that happens, I've seen that in MVC2 was a known bug, I thought I updated to MVC 3 this was corrected, but still the same.The problem itself is that it shows as null ActionResult and I have no idea how to detect, the code I use is:

In ActionResult, the two n submit it recognizes, as if none, shown in Null There is another way to implement this type of submit? In Internet Explorer everything works fine.
if the menuitem included a navigateUrl , selected property does not work. Have anyone encounter the same problem as well? what I want is selected a menu item, and asp.net bring to some page with the selected menu item's color changed.
View 2 RepliesI have a FileUpload control that allows a user to upload an image. After the image is uploaded, I'd like to update an Image control I have on the page.
The uploading part is working, as I can see the files in the folder after. However, the image never updates.
I'm relative new to .NET but I think maybe it has something to do with postback?

On any page that uses this masterpage, whether it is in a subfolder or directly at root level with the masterpage, these links don't work in any browser I have except for IE (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari). By that, I mean:
1. When I mouse over them, the cursor doesn't change to a hand.
2. When I click, nothing happens visually.
3. When I click, nothing happens in code. i.e., I set a breakpoint on the click events for the buttons, and they don't get hit.
In IE, everything works as it should.
In addition, I have subnavigation on some of my child pages, implemented the same way, and it works for all browsers.

in my page_load method I call a mthod that it create some dynamic controls. one of them is an Image control that it's ImageURL property set to an URL that is saved in data base. image shows that URL but when postback ocuurs, previous image controls doesn't their image. but other controls for example TextBoxes keep text values. what should I do for keep image url property for this dynamic Images controls?

Just to name two examples here: [URL]Their demo page looks great, but when I integrate their sample code into MVC, the script no longer works in IE and FireFox, but it seems to work just fine under Google Chrome. Can someone kindly enough to point out what I missed? I will be honest here. I am still new to JavaScript. I have placed a copy of my VS2010 solution zip file @ [URL] Here is what I did. Compiled the code and ran it under IE. Ideally, it should work like the demo in [URL], but in reality, it only displays unordered list in plain view. (If you download the solution file and run it, you should be able to repro this as well). Next, tried with FireFox, not working either, same result as IE. Finally, when I try it under Google Chrome 4.1 (lastest version), and the script displays just fine.
I am a new to WCF. I have written ajax to use a web service before, but on this project I am trying to use ajax to WCF.After I build the project and wcf using ajax, I receive the return successfully. But, 10 or more minutes later I don't get a return, the ajax calls the error function, and the fiddler returns nothing.
If I rebuild the project without any source modifying, I receive the return successfully again.
I have confirmed that my Control Adapters are not triggering in Chrome and Safari. I've debugged, and the breakpoints inside the adapters just don't get hit in Chrome/Safari, when they work perfectly find in Firefox/IE. So, for Chrome/Safari, IIS is just ignoring the mapping.
My AdapterMappings.browser file looks like this:

I used the Charles proxy to check what user agents were being sent. They are:

Any idea why this would be? Everything I've read tells me that my browser mappings are correct? And, as I said this works for IE/Firefox, so I know my configuration is technically correct.
I have a intranet site with Windows Authentication. I have 'Administrator' pages in an 'Administrator' folder that will only show for those in the admin group (windows security group) These pages work
I have a folder with sub folders containing reports. These permissions are broken down for each type of report. They have similar role priveleges. When I test the application, I can navigate to the pages. When I deploy the site live on the intranet the links don't return a page. Error missing link 404. Do I need to set something in IIS?
I have a GridView that is inside a Web User Control, that is inside an ASPX Page, that is wrapped by the Master Page.
Inside a GridView, I have a template field with DateTime type that has a TextBox inside EditTemplate. I extended this TextBox with CalendarExtender and it works ok in Internet Explorer.
I also have a DetailsView control on the same WebControl that I use to Insert new enrty. InsertTemplate for this field is the same as in GridView (Textbox with Calendar extender).
The problem occures when i click on the Edit link (or try click on the link that displays DetailsView in Insert mode for adding new entry) in any other browser: Chrome, Firefox, Opera.
The problem itself is that the calendar extender does not get poped out. I have a UpdateProgress Control on an ASPX page, that thie control is loaded into, that shows loading image while page is being posted back asynchronously.
In internet explorer the loading image is shown for jst a moment and then dissapears. Calendar extenders works perfectly.
As for the other browsers, the loader does not dissapear and none of ths postback links are working, as if it was waiting for the previous postback event or something else to finish. Finally I have to reload the page to get to the inicial stage or click a direct URL link to get somewhere else.
The forms works fine in Firefox and I was able to get an email from it. Here is the code below:

what I want to do is: in one page, I got a navigation pane on the left and the content pane on the right. both of them are 100% height in the web page and both have its own scroll bar. However, I failed to set the height:100% although i've already set height:100% to html,body,div,table,tr,td. it just doesn;t work. if remove the "runat=server" from the form tag, it works fine. don't why~~~
