MVC :: Ajax.beginform Using Multiple Submit Doesn't Work From Firefox / Opera / Chrome
Nov 11, 2010
this code does not work in any other browser other than Internet Explorer, I could tell that happens, I've seen that in MVC2 was a known bug, I thought I updated to MVC 3 this was corrected, but still the same. The problem itself is that it shows as null ActionResult and I have no idea how to detect, the code I use is:
In ActionResult, the two n submit it recognizes, as if none, shown in Null There is another way to implement this type of submit? In Internet Explorer everything works fine.
using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; [code]....
When I click the action link in IE the controller code runs but the div is NOT updated. Do it in ANY other browser and it works just fine. Is this (yet another) known problem/bug with IE??
I have a problem with partial postback in FireFox in my index.aspx I have following code:
[Code]....
Finally my Partialview has following content:
[Code]....
This code is working fine when using IE or Google Chrome, but when using FireFox the code in my controller is never reached. I just can't figure out what I am missing
I have a GridView that is inside a Web User Control, that is inside an ASPX Page, that is wrapped by the Master Page.
Inside a GridView, I have a template field with DateTime type that has a TextBox inside EditTemplate. I extended this TextBox with CalendarExtender and it works ok in Internet Explorer.
I also have a DetailsView control on the same WebControl that I use to Insert new enrty. InsertTemplate for this field is the same as in GridView (Textbox with Calendar extender).
The problem occures when i click on the Edit link (or try click on the link that displays DetailsView in Insert mode for adding new entry) in any other browser: Chrome, Firefox, Opera.
The problem itself is that the calendar extender does not get poped out. I have a UpdateProgress Control on an ASPX page, that thie control is loaded into, that shows loading image while page is being posted back asynchronously.
In internet explorer the loading image is shown for jst a moment and then dissapears. Calendar extenders works perfectly.
As for the other browsers, the loader does not dissapear and none of ths postback links are working, as if it was waiting for the previous postback event or something else to finish. Finally I have to reload the page to get to the inicial stage or click a direct URL link to get somewhere else.
If i use signs like ë in the HTML Editor, in IE, its ok, and works. But if i use ë in firefox in the same page with the HTML Editor. If i press safe the ë is converted to: (copy past doesnt work well, but its a square if you put [] to each other). But how is this possible? And how can i solve this problem? In IE its working well, but 50% of the users of the system i build are using Firefox. So it should work in all editors.
I developed a activex control, it can work well in IE, but not in firefox , is it possible for my activex control to work in FireFox and Google Chrome?
I was trying to prototype some jQuery-based menu into ASP.NET MVC. Just to name two examples here: [URL]Their demo page looks great, but when I integrate their sample code into MVC, the script no longer works in IE and FireFox, but it seems to work just fine under Google Chrome. Can someone kindly enough to point out what I missed? I will be honest here. I am still new to JavaScript. I have placed a copy of my VS2010 solution zip file @ [URL] Here is what I did. In the Site.Master, I have something like
Compiled the code and ran it under IE. Ideally, it should work like the demo in [URL], but in reality, it only displays unordered list in plain view. (If you download the solution file and run it, you should be able to repro this as well). Next, tried with FireFox, not working either, same result as IE. Finally, when I try it under Google Chrome 4.1 (lastest version), and the script displays just fine.
I'm having a little trouble with the asp:MenuItem and Google's Chrome. Basically, when using just an ImageUrl (i.e. no text) the links don't work in Chrome. Here's my code
I couldnt test the page in Safari, dont have a way to get around the cert error since its our dev server. Either way the page looks like crap on everything but IE.
I have 3 small tables on a page.. small as in 4 rows and 3 columns when viewed in the 3 browsers, the columns seem to push over to the left and fall under the first.. so when you view the page what should be 4 rows and 3 columns now looks like 7 rows.. that only way i can explain it.
In web application I'm using devexpress toolkit, and have the right (correct) result in IE only (using also some java-script), on clicking event for example is working in chrome and safari, but in Firefox and Opera not The grid view are not showed properly in division in any other browser, except IE!
I've had an issue with a javascript menu not working inside an Ajax update panel after the ajax postback. I was able to solve this in IE by calling the menu js function with a pageLoad() function which is automatically called by ajax. However I then discovered it doesn't work in any other browser.
Having search around I've only found two references to the issue; one where someone else has found the same thing and another where someone states that pageLoad isn't stable in other browsers.
Is there any way to solve this issue in browsers other than IE?
I have three reorder lists on a page, one does not want to work. It is no different to the others, but is behaving like it is not enabled. All working fine in IE 7 + 8.
I got a HTML control with textboxes in the table cells. It works fine in Internet Explorer but in firefox and opera, the controls are not in the table cells and thrown out.Don't know where to start looking.
i created a "create" view for creating a new record of my used model. The View includes partial views with the editor-fields. But the "Create" submit button doesn't work. When i copy the editor-fields to the create view without using partial views the submit button works. Here is my code: Create.cshtml
