I have a SQL Server 2000 table that has an insert trigger that e-mails the user when a record is inserted for them. i want to include a link to a page that will disply a list (datagrid) of their records only. What is the best way to do this? The trigger is already completed and currently includes a link that displays all records but I want to be able to narrow that based on the user.

Here is my requirement -
1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.

I have an action link that I use to pass values to a controller using this statement:
<%: Html.ActionLink("Addition 1 to 10", "CreatePdf", "Pdf", new { id = 32, stOperation = "Add", stNumbers = "10" }, null)%>
So when a user clicks on the above link the controller CreatePDF is called with the parameters of id, stOperation, and stNumbers. I then use these three parameters to return a pdf document to the user.I also have a checkbox on the html page as defined by:
<%: Html.CheckBox("chkAnswers", false) %>
My question is how to pass the value of this checkbox in the above HTML.ActionLink? I have a tutorial on using the submit button to submit an entire form and the associated data. However I do not want the user to have to click a button. Instead I'd like return the value of the checkbox in the action link but I'm not sure how to do this. I want something like:
%: Html.ActionLink("Addition 1 to 10", "CreatePdf", "Pdf", new { id = 32, stOperation = "Add", stNumbers = "10", checkboxValue = true or false }, null)%>

I need to access a variable that is declared in a master page to a child page. I'm using asp.net 2.0 (vb). I'm sure this should be easy and is down to my inexperience with asp.net! A rough guide to my code is below;
MASTER PAGE
<%@ Master Language="VB" CodeFile="MasterPage.master.vb" Inherits="MasterPage" %>
<script runat="server">
Public UserNumber As Integer = 3
End Sub
</script>
CHILD PAGE
<%@ Master Language="VB" CodeFile="MasterPage.master.vb" Inherits="MasterPage" %>

I have spent a couple of days on this one. I have an ASP.NET website that has Linkbuttons on
the Default.aspx page.. I added a WebService to the Website because later on the WebService will
subscribe to a Provider(Feed) of News, Sports and Weather and things like that. So when a Linkbutton
on the Default.aspx page is clicked it will connect to the link in the WebService which will load the News,
Sports or Weather onto the Default.aspx web page.
The problem is I can't get the LinkButton to execute the Link in the WebService. The link will call the page up
to where you see all of the Web References. But then if you want to execute one of those references you
have to click its link and the Invoke button that will follow. My questioh is how can the link on my Default.aspx
page execute the link in the WebService. Now I changed the LinkButton into an <a href> but I still can't execute
the link in the WebServices. I always use www.Microsoft.com as the link when testing and I wasn't sure about the return type
so I put "void" for an HTTPRequest, so below is the link from the Default.aspx web page and below that is he asmx file:

In the parent page i'm displaying all the user details and one of the detail is the list of accessible clients in a list box. the clients can be removed or added using the add or remove images next to the list box.
Clicking on the Add image will show you the list of available clients in a new page(child) and also showing currently available clients to the user with checked status.
Let me explain how the available clients for the user is displayed in the child page. In the parent page load on the 'Add' image 'OnClientClick' i'm passing the ClientId of a hidden field in which all the selected clients for a user is stored.
The problem i'm facing here is when i altered the selected clients in the child page and clicking on the OK button will change the value of the listbox in parent page using the clientID of the listbox which i'm passing, but if i once again click the 'Add' button it shows the original values which is stored at the time of parent page load. The problem is i'm not doing any postback here so that the original values registered during 'OnClientClick'of 'Add' button is not altered.

I am trying to pass a value from one aspx page to another using test2.aspx?Tag=blah.
When I try to pass Request.QueryString["Tag"] to a webusercontrol on test2.aspx it tells me that Request.QueryString["Tag"] is null or empty.
I am doing this in the page load. Should I be doing it somewhere else ?

passing parameters from a datalist to another page.
this is how my app works:
i have a database ( access) a table with the following columns: id,title,desc,photo.
another table with the following columns: (startsin, endsin,price,tId)
on the first page (tourpack.aspx) i have a datalist, when user clicks on a button that is in the templateitem of the datalist, he will be transfered to another page called (showtour.aspx). what im trying to do is passing the ID parameter from the first page (table 1) to the second page (showtour.aspx) with the id number so he can see the specific details of that "tour" that are located In the second table.
