I need to force SSL when going to the final checkout page (for example from default.aspx to checkout.aspx).
I need to pass variables to this check out page and tried to use server.transfer(https://www.mydomain.com/checkout.aspx). I then use previous page .Fincontrol to read text box and label name to this check out page. If I only do the server.transfer("~/checkout.aspx") then my I can read all vakues of my controls from the passing default.aspx page.
But when I force https:// then I cannot read the control values from default.aspx page.
Please give me some tips on how to get control values to the https:// destination page or if you have another tips on how to do it the right way, please let me know.

I am trying to pass a value from one aspx page to another using test2.aspx?Tag=blah.
When I try to pass Request.QueryString["Tag"] to a webusercontrol on test2.aspx it tells me that Request.QueryString["Tag"] is null or empty.
I am doing this in the page load. Should I be doing it somewhere else ?

I'm having an aspx page with 2 frames, one is the header and the the other one is content frame which i'm trying to load it dynamically. Everything is fine. Let me explain my scenario
On the header frame i'm having 5 link buttons and when a link button is clicked i'm passing a hardcoded Page URL to the frames containing page and then trying to load that page in the content frame.
Below is my code, Everything as far as i know are in right place, but i cannot see the page in content frame..
Header.aspx.cs
[Code]....
Then checking frameURL querystring in default.aspx page load:
[Code]....
when the querystring is null, the SiteSummary.aspx page is getting loaded in content frame without any issue, but when there is a querystring value the page is not being loaded.
Here is my Default.aspx page

I'm trying to use an ObjectDataSource's SelectMethod() to retrieve a result set from a sql server database to populate a data table with various stored procs that have any given number of parameters. My approach is to pass an object which contains the stored proc name and information about its parameters into the SelectMethod(). My issue is that I don't know how to actually set the default value. Here is the code I have so far:
ObjectDataSource1.DataObjectTypeName = "WebApplication1.Children";
ObjectDataSource1.TypeName = "WebApplication1.Children";
ObjectDataSource1.SelectMethod = "Select";
Parameter odsParameter = new Parameter() { Name = "storedProc", Type = TypeCode.Object };
// How do you set the default value to reference an object?
ObjectDataSource1.SelectParameters.Add(odsParameter);
namespace WebApplication1
{
public class Children
{
public DataTable Select(object storedProc)
{
// do stuff here and get db values.
}
}
}
The default value of a Parameter object is a string type. Does anyone know how to set the default value with an object or how I can pass an object into the SelectMethod?

I am new to VB.net programming and working on a school assignment. I have 2 display pages: default.aspx and DisplayTaxReturn.aspx. On default.aspx I have a list view where it uses data source to get the tax payer ID's from the server and I also have a details view where it displays the records associated to the tax payer.
When I click the View button on default.aspx it takes me to DisplayTaxReturn.aspx where it should display the tax payer ID and it's records that were displayed in default.aspx using label text fields.
My question is, how do I pass the values of the selected tax payer ID (datasource1 on default.aspx) to the DisplayTaxReturn.aspx page?

protected override void OnLoad(System.EventArgs e)
{
base.OnLoad(e);
how do I pass in parameters to the event args in the aspx page? or is that even possible? and how can I pass these parameters from my c# code to the javascript?

I have a master page which includes a search textbox and a button which posts back to another page. The controls are defined as follows:
<asp:TextBox
ID="SearchTextBox"
runat="server"
style="margin-left:
0px"
Width="170px" />
<cc1:TextBoxWatermarkExtender
ID="SearchTextBox_TextBoxWatermarkExtender"
runat="server"
Enabled="True"
TargetControlID="SearchTextBox"
WatermarkCssClass="watermark"
WatermarkText="Search Name" />
<asp:Button
ID="SearchButton"
runat="server"
Text="Search"
PostBackUrl="~/SearchPage.aspx"/>
The problem is that for any other TextBox on the page which is using this MasterPage, for example the login page, if you type your user name and password and hit Enter, The page is redirected to the SearchPage. If you click on login buttton everything works fine. How do I make sure hitting enter on the page in any other text box does not post back to SearchPage.aspx?

I have a C# project in Visual Studio that produces an aspx page. The code I am editing is in default.asp.cs. When I build the project a file default.aspx is produced. This file looks something like this:
<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="CSRValidationConnector._Default" %>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" [URL]-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="[URL] >
<head runat="server">
<title></title>
</head>
<body>
<form id="form1" runat="server">
<div>
</div>
</form>
</body>
</html>
When I make my web request most of this page comes back. But I want the page to return only plain text and not any of this HTML. How do I configure things so that nothing is returned except what I add via Response.Write calls in default.aspx.cs?

So there is a a table and a text box in one of the cells
<td>
<asp:TextBox ID="tbSomeTextBox" Columns="5" runat="server"> %
</td>
This textbox gets shown if a certain selection is made in a drop down. The problem is that I would like the "%" character to also be hidden or shown with the textbox.
I have tried putting the whole textbox control inside a DIVand in my JQuery hiding the DIV at the same time I hid the textbox.
<td>
<div id="divSomeDIV"><asp:TextBox ID="tbSomeTextBox" Columns="5" runat="server"> % </div
</td>
But I get an error in my java script that id="divSomeDIV" doesn't exist in the current context.
$("#<%=divSomeDiv.ClientID%>").hide();
Wrapping that single character in a asp:Label seems like overkill.

<%@ Master Language="VB" CodeFile="MasterPage.master.vb" Inherits="MasterPage" %>
<script runat="server">
Public UserNumber As Integer = 3
End Sub
</script>
CHILD PAGE
