It displays in the txtComment textbox if Cell[14] has no data. Is there a way to prevent the from appearing when there is no data in the cell of the selected row?
I've noticed that when i populate textboxes from a selected row in a gridview that if the field is blank it displays " " in the textbox.
Here is the solution I came up with. I check each cell before adding it to the textbox.
I get the feeling that I'm either doing something wrong to have this problem in the first place or that there is a better way to handle this.
protected void GridView1_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { //// Get the currently selected row using the SelectedRow property. GridViewRow row = GridView1.SelectedRow; // Load data from selected row into textboxes if (row.Cells[1].Text.Trim() != " ") { txtEditCust_ID.Text = row.Cells[1].Text.Trim(); } }
Many WebSites where we asked in textbox to enter text for search, such as above you see "Search Entire Site" in this Microsoft ASP.net website page. Once we click inside the textbox the default message vanishes. So tell me how can i do this?
The horizontal scroll bar is always visible weather there is text or not, in a disabled mode.
And the vertical scrollbar of textbox flickers when I am moving my mouse cursor over anchor tag <a />. For textarea control the scroll bar automatically goes up. I am hiding and showing a div tag on click of anchor tag.
I set my textbox1 to equal a responsetext string and when I click into the textbox and then click the end key there are spaces or blank space at the end. I need to get reid of them. I tried the following, but no luck:
In my asp web page, there is a multiline textbox. And upon a button click from the same page I need to delete the last row or line from the multiline textbox. How is that possible.
Basically, the user Selects a row on GV that executes an Insert into a table the GV cell values of the selected row.
The SQL field data type is varchar. If the GV field is Null, the Insert adds the value to the SQL field. How do I keep the @nbsp; from being displayed in the cell of a data control when it is called at a later time? Do I add some more asp to my control parameter? do I add some vb code behind? Here are some relevant code snippets of existing code.
I use some telerik report to print some report.I need to use Telerik.Reporting.TextBox to print labels. Some labels are stock in .txt files, like " Apple".When I see a label with spaces, it means I have to indent it in the report, so in the TextBox.The thing is when we export the report in pdf, we have the indentation, but not when we see in the browser. If I replace the spaces by "& nbsp;", we see the indentation in the browser, but when exporting to pdf, we see the "& nbsp;".
I'm using SQLSERVER 2005, In "Connect to Server" window I want to remove some all server names (like cookies in Textbox) which I used. When I click on this dropdown it listing all server names. I want to remove these.
So the rules are:a) replace every second space (between non space chars) with
b) If the last space is replaced with , try to move it backwards (if possible) one step so the next word is not touched by the force space.
Background:I want to use that to print data from the database to my website. But I want to optimize the forced spaces to use less space. I also want the last forced space not to touch the next word (if possible) so it is easier for some search engines to catch that word.
Will I need to loop through every char in that string and count the occurrence or is there an easier, faster and more fancy way?]So I did a benchmark to figure out which solution to accept:
@Guffa, your solution needs 22 seconds for 1 Million runs @Timwi, your solution needs 7 seconds for 1 Million runs
I will give you both an upvote, but I will accept Timwi's solution.
I have the following line of code. What I would like to do is if any of the _ Order.value are empty then not to have the "," displayed at the end of it because if they were all empty then it would look like ,,,Does anyone know how I can remove if the value before it is empty?
When changing the textbox's text mode to multiline the textbox becomes resizable during runtime. I can't seem to find the property to disable this, does anyone know how I can resolve this issue?
I have a text box on page load, loads a text value. I would like on the first instance of the page load for another textbox to equal to this value. As I have a gridview on the same page to update the textbox value does not get updated.
Essentially, if provide me with a VB script to obtain the value of the textbox on page load to pass to another textbox default value only on the same page.
I have a gridview with a template field column. In the edittemplate of that column i have a textbox. In the next column of the gridview i have a button. When i click the button i need to find the value of the before mentioned textbox. I do it like this:
gridview1.selectedrow.findcontrol("textbox1"). This sometimes work just fine and without a problem but sometimes it seems it can't find that control and throws a null reference object. The error it's random like i said, sometimes just work and other just don't work...
