This code is working fine in my local system but when i upload it on server then it gives this error. From the last 1 year it was working fine but from last few days it gives me above said error, please suggest me is there any authentication required to send mail from server (my hosting plan is with 1and1.com)
I am making mailing system and i am using SQL MAIL service and i need to send mail to other server(application and mail server on different locations).so i some how i need to use queue systems. for example if i send 5000 mail then it should go in batch of 500-500. if i write code in core vb.net then user need to stay untill all batches complete. so some how i need a system by which user just click and mail address fetching and sending process works in background as well send in batch.
I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to AD... But what I want to achieve in the first instance is to use the AD to display the staff name and e-mail address from Active Directory, when they are logged onto the company Intranet. Using the 'login status' I can display domain/username, but would prefer the 'CN' and e-mail address to be shown instead.
I'm using C# and I've got as far as putting Using System.DirectoryServices in my references and .cs file
Staff are authenticated using "Windows" authentication rather than "forms" as they would already be logged onto a PC and should not require to log onto the Intranet again
PS Tried to search through the forums, but the examples shown seem to be to retrieve multiple users / info from AD and I hope my request is a 'simpler' fix
For error messages, validation faults etc you have
ModelState.AddErrorMessage("Fool!");
But, where do you put success responses like "You successfully transfered alot of money to your ex." + "Your balance is now zero". I still want to set it at the controller level and preferably in key-value way, the same way as errormessages but without invalidating the modelstate.
But, when my SMTP server is down I want to put all the emails in a queue and when it recovers I want to send them one a time. Is there any way how to do this programatically in C#?
I'm making an application with server sided variables that change every second. Every second those new variable need to be shown at all the clients that have the webpage open. Now most people told me to go with comet because I need to push/pull the data every second, now I've got a few questions: What would be a better solution looking at the fact that I need the new data EVERY SECOND, pulling from the client or pushing with the server?
Also the item ID's that are on the server side (with the variable's that ID got) can change and when the client refreshes the page he needs to get the oldest (and living) ID's. This would mean that my jquery/javascript on the client side must know which ID's he got on the page, what is best way to do this? Last thing is that I can't find a good (not to expensive) comet library/api for asp.net (C#). Anyone ever used a comet library with good results? We're looking at a site that should be able to have 2000 comet connections at every moment.
I'm using asp.net and c# to build a web application. I'm trying to display a popup message using the ModalPopup extender. The message displays fine only if it sets in client side or in server side but inside Page_Load. Otherwise, it displays as empty. the popup comes up without the message.
The thing is that i want to change the meesages when i call its show() method.
I am uisng ExchangeVersion.Exchange2007_SP1 EWS to send mail through my c#.net application. I want to embed image in mail body so tht user can see body message along with image in its inbox mail .currently I am uisng image tag to show image but in the email body its just showing image url instead of image.
i've been googling this for two days so here it both the error and the webconfig code.i directed the aspnet 2.0 exe to the application name/database

i am building an intranet for the company and i when a ticket is raised i want to select a person and send them that ticket. I have the gridview in place and the users email address. All i need is some simplle send mail code in c# to get it going. I am not sure on what i have to do weather i have to authenticate it and if the fact that exchange is on a sbs 2008 server called server01 and the intranet is on server02 they are both on the same domain.
I am looking to connect to our mail server and process attachment. The attachments are plain text files. Any DLL / API for this. We have sun communication express.
I am developing an web application using VB.NET in which user have to confirm the email address they provide to activate the account, in short I have to send an email for activating there account. I am all set with the logic and codes, the only trouble is I just realise that i need a mail server and domain to be able to send email.
To be honest with you all i need now is something to try if the application is working and obviously for demo. I havent got any domain yet and no intention of buying one.
