Is there a way to use two adrotators controls on one page and stop the same advert appearing at the same time in both controls?
I have the following but it doesn't work:

i used the following technique to Select multiple items from DropDownList into TextBox with No duplicates, however i dont think it is the most proper way, any ideas. pressing again with same value selected choose another value from DDL and press button

(edit) Note: this unanswered post exactly describes the behavior - extra scripts being added in the <head> by ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock in a usercontrol, in an UpdatePanel, is causing duplicates. C# .NET 4.0. The page is structured like this:
MasterPage
Page
UserControl1 (ascx) - loaded in code by Page
UpdatePanel
UserControl2 (ascx) - loaded in code by UserControl1
The first time the script is added as expected, in the body. The code, simply, in the UserControl2 OnInit:
ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(Page, Page.GetType(), "myscript", script, true);
I've also tried referencing "this" instead of page, which doesn't really make sense since I don't want the same script keys duplicated on the page if the usercontrol is loaded multiple times on a page, but it didn't work anyway.
After a partial postback, the script is added again - but curiously in the <head> of the page, not the body, and interestingly, lacking the normal //<![CDATA[...//]]> wrapper that asp.net usually adds.
Another script which is added by UserControl1 is duplicated exactly the same way after a partial postback.
I have a web app that uses a master page with mulitple user controls on each content page. Most of the content pages have grids (telerik) that present data, with HTML tables that are created dynamically from a database. I write the load the HTML dynamically into a label. We also are loading a YouTube snippet that is set in HTML and we are get the most recent video within a playlist.
My challenge is that the pages are loading slow. Very slow. There is consistent traffic to the main site with two other sub domains for management and they all utilize one database (shared within one instance of about 20 databases) on a shared web hosting server.
My goal is to determine if the User Controls, Data Access, WebServer, or SQL Instance is slowing the site (all 3 domains).
The site is running good with about 400 avg daily users, however, the site is now averaging about 1300+ daily users and i'm not sure if a Dedicated Server w/dedicated SQL Instance will resolve the challenges we are facing.
I have a web form and want to use two ListView Controls. The second one does not seem to work. It won't update or insert. The commands seem to get lost somewhere. Is there a trick to having multiple ListViewControls on a form?

View 2 RepliesI have created nine custom HTML Editors in a web application using AjaxControlToolKit.
I am able to connect to SQL database and get the information displayed on all nine Editors. I am also able to update and insert data into database using the Editors. When i am trying to modify the text displayed in the some of the Editors, certian child controls in the Editors are not working.
For example if i try to add hyperlink to the text in the first Editor it works fine, i mean all controls infirst Editor works fine. But in the second Editor the hyperlink control doesn't work. The same thing happens forthird, fourth, fifth Editor, but the sixth, seventh, eigth and ninth Editor the Hyperlink works but destination url popup dialog box is displayed at the bottom of the page. this is happening only for hyperlink control in these Editors.

I have a gridview that I loop through to get the x and y values of the chart control, and upon the first execution of this code, it looks great. But when the page posts back and it "refreshes" data, the original points on the chart control are still there, as well as the new values.
Is there any way to "delete" all data in the chart control to ensure this doesn't happen?

View 1 RepliesI have location #s, date, time, the sales amount, and tax in a excel file. The system pulls sales numbers throughout the day from each store location and places the total sales and tax numbers along with the polling date into a file.
So the most current date/time has the most upto date sales numbers at the time for that location number, but it also lists the older entries so mgmt can see how sales went during the day, and this is where my issue is, I don't need to see the old numbers from this generated file (atleast at this part of the program).
What I would like to do is write a query that only selects the most recent sales numbers for each location. I will output this to a table in ASP.NET. The query I tried using the TOP 1 clause only gave me the very first row listed below.

Using SQL server and C# to build my web site. I need to do a bulk upload Employee data from Excel to SQL.
I use the following code to perform this. The code works fine.

In the Employee table there is a field called ID which is of type int and auto incrememntral . This is the primary key.
There cannot be duplicates in the combination of EmployeeName and Location. If the user tries to upload ( through the Excel file) the combination of EmployeeName and Location which is there in the database, I need to flag it.
How can I identify the duplicates in an easy way rather than going through all the records again and again? Any functaion in SQL I can use to identify the duplicates?

I am trying to load an AdRotator into my mast page. I have been able to get rid of the errors for it,
loaded the images into the images folder,
created the xml file which I just copied from microsoft website,
added the links for the images in the xml file.
Enabled it
set visibility to true
gave it height and width

I want to implement the functionality like below.
1) Use AdRotator to view the Ads.
2) Change Ads on every 15 sec.
3) When user is on page where Ads are displayed now user clicks Back-Forward and come back to that page. This time if user come back within 15 sec. Same image will be displayed and no money will be diducted for that. So here I will need to show Image from cach.
4) Only once load images from server. For each other cycle to display images fetch it from cach.
I have difficulty in implementing Steps 3 & 4.
I am developing web application using Csharp on Visual studio 2008.How can I avoid duplicates on a data grid? I am using one form with datagrid. When I run it while it is in one of the folders AB it is running without any problems and data grid is displaying correct records. However, when I get the same and put it on a different Folder AB1 on the same machine and web server (IIS) it is displaying duplicated records?
