Web Forms :: View State Truncated And A Blank Web Page?

Recently I had migrated my ASP.net 1.1 based application from a IIS5.1 based platform to a IIS 6.0 based Platform.The new platform has 4 nodes with a load balancer.
One of the page of my application, which is perhaps the heaviest one in terms of form components like textboxes, dropdown is not behaving properly.Some times the users only get a "Blank White Screen" and some time they get a "Invalid ViewState" , Invalid length for a Base-64 char array.

I had been facing this issue since we migrated to the new platform and the application was working perfectly fine on the old platform.

I have no problems viewing data on local machine but for some reason I cannot view that same report on the web. When i view source of the web page I can see data inside the javascript but the page is blank. What could I be doing wrong?

I am having a ASP.net application it having three pages ,page 1,page 2,page 3,when the user navigating between this pages I want to maintain the view state in page level after postbacks(i.e.) .If a user visits page 3, passing some query loads some data .then he moves to page 1 doing some entries .after that he once again moves to page 3 now I want to display the data previously available at the time he moves to page 1, same
way I want to do to my three pages up to the user logging out.

I got in the controller action:
var reports = new List<Report>();
reports.Add(new Report {Title = "Inventory (monthly)"});
reports.Add.......
However, the words are truncated when passed to the view.
The words after the space is truncated.
ie. it just passed the word "Inventory".

On my development machine, the session state data is retained after a post back to the server. (XP VS 2008) (This is true if running from within VS or if running in browser with localhost.)On the deployed test server, the session state is blank in IE, but works in Firefox. (Svr 2003 IIS 6)Both machines are running the exact same code with the exact same imputs and same web.config. There is no code between the post backs that write to the session state.Newest addition to the server would be the consumption of a WCF web service. Could this be a symptom of something missing on the server(s) when trying to connect with WCF? I could not find any information other than installing the 3.0 framework. I have 3.5 SP1 installed on the test server.

I'm having troubles remembering how to grab the list view's state, or page, so that when you leave the list, you can return to the list view page you left on. I have a data pager, and I have hyplerlinks for items in the list view that take you to a file upload or file delete page, and then returns to the list view. It returns to the list view's initial state (first page).

i am using window.opener.location.href = window.opener.location.href; to refresh a page from another page
and it s working fine but i need to preserve state because i am loosing any ViewState on the first page when i do this. It will be as if the user typed in the url in the browser again instead of hitting refresh.

I have a gridview in which I have the autopaging option set to true, when i load the grid everything works on the first page, i can even go to second page , but when i click the edit button nothing happens and after that any click blows up the page giving me error Faile to load view state.

In the Source view has code. as I was coding and refreshed the split view (.ascx) it when blank. The so I when to the design view its blank too. The aspx page I can see the control.

I have a master page and i am changing the masterpage file property to some other master page dynamically in the page PreInit event and that changing url is taken from a viewstate. but the view state is not getting in the pre init event.

i have a drop down list and a text box, inside a listview row (and this is a repeating layout). i populate each dropdownlist with same contents ( these contents/items come from a custom collection object).
i have added a required field validator in the listview's item template, that has its validation group = the validation group of the drop down list, and validates if the textbox is blank or not. this validation takes place on the selected index changed of the drop downlist for that row.
1. on selected index changed, EACH dropdownlist validates only its corressponding textbox perfectly (which is what i want)
but if i enter some text in one of the textboxes after doing 1, the dropdownlist for THAT particular row, assigns the correct value to the text entered. but for other rows (for which i changed their corresponding ddls to test the required field validation and for which the text boxes are still blank), their ddls by itself assign the values to the blank text without validating.
markup of code for listview is [Code]....
code behind for the ddl selected index changed is [Code]....
method GetIndexFromId retrieves index of the custom object inside a collection depending on the Id (which is a property) of the object.
i notice that the ddl selectedindexchanged is being hit as many number of times as many rows i change (i.e as many ddls in different rows i change to check the required field validation)

On Friday I gave a demo of an MVC application using the Authorize attribute on my JobCardController, and all was well. This morning, when I attempt an unauthorized action, I still get redirected to the LogOn view, using the below URL, but I appear to have what my reading tells me is called a White Screen of Death, i.e. nothing but white background and no actions invoked.

ADDENDUM: I forgot to mention that I have moved the Account models and services out into my DataObjects and Services projects, but I had done this last week already without this problem.
I'm not asking what is wrong, but what are the common faults that could cause something like this and how can I start debugging this mess?
SOLVED: Somehow an Authorize attribute had landed up on my whole controller class, as in,
[HandleError]
[Authorize]
public class AccountController : BaseController
I removed that and everything is working again.

I have two radio button list:
*1* report views -- 4 options -- NOT in updatepanel
*2* pagination views -- 2 options -- IS in updatepanel
The situation goes as follows: Refresh WORKS in default setting but when I select *2* radio button options and refresh the page renders the state that the (1) was entered in.
Example: () are the radio buttons
Report Viewing: () (x) () () Pagination View: (x) () REFRESH works!

I am using the session variable to hold the Pagination Viewing option but during page states, I've noticed that when a 2nd option is selected of *2* radio buttons (doesn't matter of 1st or 2nd option was initially selected) that during debugging mode the step over corrects the issue but not the right table viewing. Upon entering Page_Init selection selection index of radio button list returns to 1st option.

I have a grid view with a nested text box in it.I would like to turn view state off but the fact of the matter is when data is posted,the text boxes inside the gridview aren't available (there are no rows in the gridview on postback). Control's information is not stored in the View State (for things like selected value and .text etc.):Control state,introduced in ASP.NET version 2.0, is similar to view state but functionally independent of view state.However,control state cannot be disabled. Control state is designed for storing a control's essential data (such as a pager control's page number) that must be available on postback to enable the control to function even when view state has been disabled.
