I have a usercontrol with asp:textbox controls on it that also performs postbacks. If two users, who are both identified by a different session variable, postback the page within the same second, one user will see the other user's viewstate values in the text boxes. I have validated that this happens by setting a textbox, a session variable, and a cookie to the same value (the same value that identifies the user) and writing to the log when all three don't match. The text box's value is the one that is logged as the other user's value.ASP.net 3.5, IIS 6

Here's my control's code behind:
<PartialCaching(60, Nothing, "UsrCtl_WebUserControl.CacheString", Nothing, True)> _
Partial Class UsrCtl_WebUserControl
Inherits System.Web.UI.UserControl [code]....
It just outputs the current time.Here's the user control embedded in a page:
<uc:wuc ID="wuc" runat="server" CacheString="A" />
And in another page:<uc:wuc ID="wuc" runat="server" CacheString="B" />According to the docs this control should maintain a different, 60 second cached version for each value of the CacheString property.It doesn't work - it caches for 60 seconds, but only one cached copy is created regardless of what I put in the CacheString property.

im creating site with usercontrols. I have repeater, inside it is another repeater with usercontrol. My problem is passing BindedValue to usercontrol.Bindings works fine and binds the value i need but it cannot pass the value to usercontrol. When i type it manually it works, when i bind it, it passes null (!).I've tried get,set, functions (ondatabound, onload, oninit), accessing control from code with no luck. Ive read and tried to do all the google solutions but with no luck. (even with creating usercontrol inheritance)

There are 2 UserControls UC1 and UC2, and there is one more class C. I want to share the same instance of c in both UserControls. I know that this can be possible with properties in both UC's and by registering UC2 in UC1 or vice versa. But I want the solution to be loosely coupled. Any best possible way without touching the Actual Page (which hosts UC's)? So i need some best possible way between UCs transfering C.

have a webpage that has a button and 2 userControl placed inside the placeHolder with visible set to false.When run and click on the button, userControl1 will set the visible to true. Now userControl1 is visible and there is also a button inside this userControl1 and when click, will set userControl2 visible to true and hide userControl1. The code below is the code behide for the webpage the do the above task.
[Code]....
Is there a way to do so that when click on the button inside userControl1, is does not show userControl2? I want to do this way is because, the button is for submitting data to database and then will pop up userControl2. When there is an error, only a msgBox will pop up and does not show userControl2.

I've a ASP.Net page (Default.aspx) which will load UserControl (ucontrol.ascx) dynamically into an UpdatePanel. By using UpdatePanel, we believe we're able to prevent the entire page to be posted-back.
My problem is, within the UserControl, we have some form controls, such as inputs and buttons; after the UserControl is loaded, clicking on any button inside the UserControl will cause the UpdatePanel to be blanked. During the investigation, I found that, breakpoints within the Button1_Click() in the code-behind for the UserControl is never reached. Please reference to the code below, this references to [REFERENCE]1.

I have a page with an UpdatePanel with a UserControl in it. That UserControl contains a GridView with a nested UserControl that seems to disappear when the parent UserControl is rebound. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the child UserControl disappears. The code works beautifully on the first load, but any partial postback causes the "Pick" UserControl to disappear.

I have MainLayout.master that has UC_Menu.ascx on it.
I have a page named Customer.aspx that uses MainLayout.master. Customer.aspx also contains a UserControl named UC_Details.ascx.
How can I have UC_Menu.ascx call a function that is in UC_Details.ascx with this scenario?
I've seen a few similar examples, but none that match this type of layout.

I have two UserControls on a MasterPage. DataEntryUC contains several TextBoxes and DropDownList. NavSaveUC contains navigation buttons. When the user clicks on a navigation button, I will be saving the data entered into DataEntryUC from the NavSaveUC UserControl.
I have a couple of tables in my DB that contain stored procedure names, control names, control types, SqlDbTypes, etc.... that correlate with DataEntryUC.
How do I reference a text box that is on DataEntryUC from NavSaveUC?
I have been working on the following code from NavSaveUC with no luck.
Dim MyControlName = "txtFirstName"
Dim MyControlType = "TextBox"
Dim MyStringValue as String
Dim tmpTxtControl as TextBox
Dim tmpDdlControl as DropDownList
Select Case MyControlType
Case "TextBox"
tmpTxtControl = CType(Page.FindControl(MyControlName, TextBox)
MyStringValue = tmpTxtControl.Text
Case "DropDownList"
tmpDdlControl = CType(Page.FindControl(MyControlName, DropDownList)
MyStringValue = tmpDdlControl.SelectedValue
End Select

I have a user control (.ascx file). I simply put this tag in the page declarations section:
<%@ OutputCache Duration="60" VaryByParam="none" %>
It is not caching. The control makes a call to SQL and displays some information. I tested it by changing a value in the database and refreshing the page. The control keeps making a call to the database eventhough I have the duraction set to 60 seconds. Am I missing something? Do I need to add code in the Page Load event?

I want to implement the functionality like below.
1) Use AdRotator to view the Ads.
2) Change Ads on every 15 sec.
3) When user is on page where Ads are displayed now user clicks Back-Forward and come back to that page. This time if user come back within 15 sec. Same image will be displayed and no money will be diducted for that. So here I will need to show Image from cach.
4) Only once load images from server. For each other cycle to display images fetch it from cach.
I have difficulty in implementing Steps 3 & 4.

I am relatively new to ASP.NET and have searched the Internet to find guidance in preventing caching of web pages (in the latest versions of IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari). Based on my search, I found a lot of conflicting/confusing info. As best as I can tell, it appears that I need to add the following 3 lines to the <head> section of my .aspx files:
[Code]....
if the aforementioned lines are correct and if all 3 lines are necessary? I have tried using different combinations of the 3 lines, but I get conflicting results (i.e., sometimes the page is cached and sometimes it's not).

[Code]....
I am adding PricingGrid.ascx to my page programatically, i.e. using LoadControl [URL]If the user changes their currency and refreshes the page, the cached version of their original currency is still showing, until the 60 seconds expires. Is there any way to force the page to check :1) Does a cached version of PricingGrid.ascx with their new currency exist?2) If so, retrieve that version, and if not, create that version.If I output all the keys in the Page.Cache object on PageLoad, I'm not seeing my user control in the output.

I have a master page that hosts a user control to load my menus from the database depending on the user logged in.So when ever a user logs in, the menu list corresponding to him is loaded into the XMLDatasource that is the Data source for the menus.Following is the code:
[Code]....
The problem is if I log out as one user and Login as another, the XML Data source is not invalidating the cache... and is loading the same values again ..Further I even noticed that the program flow control is not transfered to the LoadMenus.ascx control at times and the page is loaded with out having to go through the control flow of all the controls on the master page. i am not sure how to force the control to pass through a single control.I have set the EnableCaching to false on the xml data source.
