is it possible to change my debuging kyes instead of function keys..
because am using the laptop and always i have to press "fn" key to prss the f10 or f11
is there any solution ..or can i permanantly press the fn click event ?
I m using the Ajax Tab Container, I want to apply the change of tabs by the press of TAB Key and also changing of tabs by press of 1,2,3,4 keys to respective tabs. Provide the code for the same.

To access the data in the Grid for updating, but it doesn't work for deleting
I can use

but that only returns the first key.
How do I access the rest of the keys?
I am currently using Visual Studio 2008 on XP Pro SP3. Developing against http://localhost/ everything including debugging works fine.I need a second website on my machine. IIS 5.1 only allows one website at a time so I used the JetStat XP Pro IIS Admin tool to create a second website. This runs by stopping the Default website and starting the other have added the new website name into the Hosts file and mapped to 127.0.0.1.
View 3 RepliesMy current project has many peripheral systems and many different environments (testing, integration, development etc). As expected, we're using .config files to dynamically manage everything.
Instead of updating each relavant key when deploying to an environment, I was hoping there was a way to change 1 key only. Such as:

<add key="WebServiceLocation" value="http://<<Environment>>/text.asmx"/>
I've done some searching and haven't come up with an elegant solution. I'm aware that .config files can make use of system variables, but this seems like a bit of a high wire act.
I get this error when I hit F5 in VS 2008. I have checked that Windows authentication is enabled on the site and it is. I can mannully attach the debugger to the IIS process and it works. What could be wrong? I have tried alot of things without success.
View 2 RepliesI'm trying to debug my web application on my localhost machine in Visual Studio 2010 and I keep getting this error: "unable to start debugging on web server. The Microsoft Visual Studio remote debugging monitor(MSVSMON.exe) does not appear to be running on the remote computer."
Is there a way I can turn this off as I'm not trying to make any attempts debugging remotely.
I am running Visual Studio 2010 (as Admin), IIS 7 on Windows 7 x64. I am able to run the ASP.NET web site in IIS 7 without debugging just fine, but when I press F5 to debug it, I get: Unable to start debugging on the web server. Could not start ASP.NET debugging. More information may be available by starting the project without debugging. Unfortunately the help link is not helping me much and leads down a heck of a large tree of things. I checked the following:
Security requirements — I don't recall having to do anything special before. The worker process in IIS7 is w3wp.exe. It says that if it's running as ASPNET or NETWORK SERVICE I must have Administrator privileges to debug it. How do I find out if I need to change something here? Web site Property Pages > Start Options > Debuggers > ASP.NET is checked. Use custom server is set to the URL of the site (which works fine without debugging). Debugging is enabled in web.config. Application is using ASP.NET 3.5 (I want to move to 4.0 eventually but I have some migration to deal with). Application pool: Classing .NET AppPool (also tried DefaultAppPool). Surely it shouldn't be that hard to install IIS, VS, create a web site, and start testing it?

Actuall i retrive one row from Database with more than 80 columns on page load. Now i need to fill these data in every control like Text-Box and Combo-Box which i have using on the Page.
My Column Name and My Id of the Textbox or combobox are same. now i need to fill the value in textbox and combobox where coumn name and textbox id are same.
Eg.
(1) TextBox Id's Name :- txtCustName, txtCustNo, txtAddress, etc(More than 80 Column).
now i will be remove the 'txt" from every id.
so it would be seems like CustName, CustNo, Address, etc.

What I'd like to do is, when the button is clicked, compare the number to the keys in the detailsview's datasource so that if the record ID doesn't exist, I can display a label telling the user that the ID# doesn't exist.
How would I go about doing this? Is there some sort of compare method for the datakeynames property?
I am having real trouble with a site I have to change that uses urlrewritingnet. The site works great when I run it in IIS however when I run it in VS2008 the pages have no CSS or JS. This is a real pain as it relys heavily on JS and I cannot debug without it.Would it be better just to turn urlrewritingnet off when working in VS? if so how would I go about it?

I have a screen for order .Order has 2 id's inside it for Billilng and Shipping AddressID .When I go and create a new order these fields render as single textboxes as Ids'Question is how can I render full address textboxes (addressline1,city,state,zip etc) do I have drop in the html markup for them? In that case while capturing the data back I willl have to go with classic way of retrieving name/value pair and then do insert into address bring back that identity and update the order record...?
