I have a text field that users enter information into a database (SQL Server). They are entering as little as a few sentances to multiple paragraphs. I can successfully display the data on my webpage, but the text field is not formatted very nicely. The output is all smashed together like one big paragraph. Ironically, when I also display the text as a tool tip it outputs as multiple paragraphs like it was entered. How can I format the output in the datalist to create a more readable text field? My datalist field is as follows:
<asp:Label id="WebDescriptionLabel" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("WebDescription") %>' ForeColor="Brown" />
I am using FTB on my aspx page. is there any way I can have Toggle Full screen feature in FTB, is this feature availble in FTB? it is available on TinyMCE, but I don't want to switch to TinyMCE since I am already using FTB in most of the pages in my application.
View 1 RepliesHow to use pattern replacement in the RTF?. For example you can add a placeholder like {USER_FIRST_NAME} in the RTF document. When the user clicks the download button, your application can take the information from the database and replace every instance of {USER_FIRST_NAME} with the data from the database....
View 1 RepliesI'm using jquery autocomplete to call a .aspx page which returns some matching words.
The jQuery stuff relies on a JSON feed to work. Currently, in my C# I'm formatting the output as a string, which ouputs something like this:
{ query:'aa','aardvark','aardvarks']}
I was hoping that because the string is formatted in the JSON format, that would be good enough for the Javascript to process but it appears not.
how to format this text in C# into proper JSON format which JavaScript can deal with properly?

View 2 RepliesI'm writing a SaaS application with a web front end written in ASP.NET. I'm not much of a designer, and my ASP.NET knowledge is not yet at the expert level - I usually focus on server side stuff - but I have a basic master page and style sheets, which do the trick.
Now I want to offer my customers the ability to customize their web site with their own style sheets, colors, background pictures etc. so that their customers will log onto their portal at mycustomer.mydomain.com and see the skin that "mycustomer" has chosen.
How do i set a format so 0.205 displays as 20.50%
and 1234.5 as 1,234.50
and -1234.5 as -1,234.50

View 2 RepliesI am trying to get text in a textbox to format such that it displays in the middle.
For the control, I have theming off, I have tried a css file, and even a direct style with the HTML. For some reason it just ignores me or I am using the wrong parameter.
Here is my css. I know that CSS is working because as I change the other parameters, the control changes.

I have a client who needs to paste sections of Word documents into my SQL Server 2005 database. There are paragraphs and bullet points within the text that has to all go into the same field. When I copy and paste the text straight from Word the bullet points are displayed as dots but not as a list, i.e. the text is wrapped continuously and the formatting is lost. I have built a web front end in ASP.NET 2.0 using formviews for data display, editing and entering. If I use a Access backend the text will display correctly if the bullets are replaced with <li> tags - a bit tedious for the user of course. In SQL server I am getting a security warning that stops any HTML code to be pasted into a field. I thought of using stylesheets but even this is difficult.

View 1 Repliescreated a Custom Textbox Control that is intended to be a "masked date" textbox, so that I can handle different ways a user might enter in a date and make it work no matter what.I did this by creating a custom control with 3 separate Textboxes one for month, one for day one for year, then do some handling for different things that could be entered and it would all work.
The problem I am having is,when I add this control to the page,if I do an alert to check the Text value of the custom control it just gives me "[ServerControl1]" even if I enter in a date.
I tried doing an AutoPostback after entering so that it would refesh the Viewstate to have the values of the textboxes but the control doesnt seem to actually postback, even though I have it enabled.accessing the Textbox value after someoen
has entered a date?first custom control I have created and have been using google.

Putting text from LoginName control into Logout Text for LoginStatus control?
[Code]....
I would like for hte full logout link to read: "Welcome, username - Logout Here"
Username is obviously being provided by the LoginName1 control. I am unable to simply use concatenation so I assume I must turn the value of the LoginName object to a string and then concatenate it. Is there a way to do this?
Give any sample links for input text will get as hh:mm format .for example if we open system date and time with in single text box we can edit hours and minutes .same like that i need examples in asp.net .
