Web Forms :: Enable An Image Button With Javascript For Firefox?
Feb 18, 2011
var elem = document.getElementById('<%=imageButton1.ClientID %>');
elem.setAttribute('enabled', 'true');
elem.setAttribute('enabled') = 'true';
Neither of them are working for me with Firefox.

I am trying to keep a button disabled unless a row in my gridview has been selected. If I just keep the button disabled, I cannot ever get it re-enabled.I am assuming I need some javascript to enable it when a row is selected.

I have a gridview were one of the colunms has a checkbox for deleting that row. When the user open the page the delete button is set to enable = false. If the user checks one box the delete imagebutton is disable = false. That works, now I need to add Javascript to enable the Delete button if the user selects checkAll, how do I do that?

so i have a lightbox in which pops up an aspx page with textboxes and two buttons (submit - disabled and cancel - enabled). I wanted to enable my submit button ontextchange. it works fine when opened separately (not as a lightbox) but when i let it run normally with the lightbox function everytime ontextchange gets triggered the whole page refreshes disabling the lightbox.
<asp:TextBox ID="textBox1" runat="server" OnTextChanged="OnTextChanged_AttributesEdited" autopostback="true">
protected void OnTextChanged_AttributesEdited(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
btnSubmit.Enabled = true;
}
now if i take out the "autopostback=true" it then will not trigger the the ontextchanged. was wondering if is it better if javascript will be the way to go for enabling the button or is there a way where i can prevent the postback when ontextchanged is triggered?

Adding a label control inside of a div will short circuit my image buttons onClientClick method call.
I have an Asp.net panel control. In that markup I have an image button control. My image button when clicked will not call my Java Script method unless the image button control is wrapped with a div or table <td> tag.
That is fine with me. However Just to the left of my image button I have a label control that must be on the same line/row of my image button. If I wrap both the label control and image control in a div or td tag then
my Java Script method is not called. So somehow wrapping the label tag with a div or td results in the short
circuiting of calling my Java Script method.
Why is this? I must have my label and image button control on the same line, so that is the requirement.
I tired using a span tag instead of a div, but that does not work. Below is my Asp.net markup code.

I have an Image control with the ImageUrl property set to point to an image on a network folder, the address looks like this:
\fs01PRODUCTSimagesAM101.jpg
It renders correctly in IE but not in Firefox.
pasting the url/path directly into the browser, the address is maintained in IE: \fs01PRODUCTSimagesAM101.jpg
But in Firefox, it is converted to this: file://///fs01/PRODUCTS/images/AM101.jpg
I suspect this is related to the problem.
