View 1 RepliesI am trying to add Canada Post shipping information to my website. Canada Post has this link to a sample site showing what to send. [URL] I have worked with Canada Post support and they have no sample code for C# or Visual Studio. Can some get me started on how to send the above information from a button click event?
View 1 RepliesCalling aContext.Response.Redirect(...) from an ActionResult subclass' ExecuteResult method results in an HTTP GET being sent to the specified URL.
Does someone know how to get the redirect to send an HTTP POST instead? This is necessary for passing control to PayPal's payment page.
is possible to send an AJAX post with parameters and not querystring information? I have some sensitive information that I am not comfortable sending in a querystring.
Also, how does that change the deserialization of my data? Will I still be able to use code similar to below:
[Code]....
I have been using the RemotePost Class( as per http://www.jigar.net/articles/viewhtmlcontent78.aspx) to post a form to a pay provider, for about 3 months successfully, I made some changes external from the call to this class that sent an email when user presses the button to notify us that the user has selected to go through to the pay provider (similar to PayPal). and suddenly got an exception error MSCROLIB, Thread was being aborted. I have since removed the code and I still get the error it happens when I call
[Code]....
I tried the suggestion on KB article [URL]/ but the control is not past to the Pay Provider I also took the actual response that is written and posted it to a new html file added a submit button and it works. So I am no stuck. The Pay provider claims they have changed nothing, and has tried to help but says they are receiving no input from either our dev site or the live site.I also tried to step into the call but it just throughs the exception
I'm trying to extend the functionality of an ASP.net application that I'm working with. For its logon page, it uses an html form to post to a dll to handle it's login logic. I'm wondering if there is any way to redirect that html POST to my C# code so that I can do some processing and then (and this is the part that I haven't figured out yet) POST it to the dll so that the regular logon logic can continue. I can make changes to the logon page, but the final step must be to do an HTML POST to the dll. I can't change that.

I have a repeater which is binded using a Collection of Entity Data Framework.
Once the repeater is binded using the datasource, the user can control the no of rows present in the repeater using a Dropdown list on the page. For ex: if datasource has 2 rows, user want to add 3 more rows, user selects 5 from dropdown, which adds 3 additional rows to the Repeater. I am able to do this.
The repeater has textbox controls in each row. Now once the user enter the values in this textbox of the newly generated rows, the user can save the values entered with the no of rows specified.
I have a button which is outside the repeater and on click of this i need to validate all the textbox values and save them into dB accordingly.
Here is my code
Repeater.aspx
[Code]....

Repeater.aspx.cs

Right now the problem is im not able to fetch the values of the textboxes present in the newly generated rows.

Is there anything missing in IIS 6.0 that prevents me from (Insert into table) using MS-Access?
Explain: The application works fine under Visual Studio 2008 IDE the insert into table works fine with no error, Also I tested with hosting provider and works fine with no problem. but now I have published the same exact app in a dedicated server windows 2003 with
IIS 6.0 .NET framework 2.0 with latest service pack I gave IIS_WPG write/modify access to the folder where MS-Access database is located and database but at the time of insert an error pop-up. I need to install in the Server or settings in the IIS to recognize my MS-Access db is it some office runtime that I am missing. (BTW I am using OLEDB connection string in my C# )
Using System.Data.OleDb;
I can retrieve data off of it with no problem but when I try to insert is when it fails I thought the problem was Access Rights but I do not think is the case.
I am trying to implement the asychronous email code demonstrated at - [URL] I have copied and pasted the code to my own site so there should be no syntax errors and have spoken to my web provider about SMTP email access which they say is allowed and they advised me to use the following:
Host = localhost
Port = 25
and that SSL should not be checked - I do not have SSL set up yet anyway. When I try to send an email I get the following message - Error occured, info=Failure sending mail. Has anyone ever encountered this before and know how to solve it?
I have what is probably a basic question, but I am rather new to writing exception handling code. I thought I understood the concept, but apparently I don't, heres the code:
[Code]....
If I enter in any non-integer values, the textbox is set to nothing and the label displays the error message. However, now that I have verified the textbox contains an integer, I want to continue on and use that value. The remaining code works fine unless there was an exception, in which case the conversion to an int value for x throws an error.
All the examples I have looked at demos the structure of try-catch-finally, but in this instance I am not performing any clean up, I want to execute code when a valid value is entered into the textbox.
sometimes i get timed out & sometimes error sending mail error when i am trying to send even only one mail frm yahoo to gmail or gmail to yahoo

I have a website that I am trying to configure the ReportViewer for. I need to be able to pass the parameter by way of a querystring. I have setup the report, the datasource and everything functions as it should when I hard code the parameter value. I am making an VB app where the user inputs links to articles. I then display the links within a ListView using LinkButtons. The LinkButton sends me to the page most of the time, but sometimes I get the following error:

Hyperlinks seem to work fine, but I want to use the CommandName of the LinkButton. What's the problem?
