Minimum 7 char and Max 10. Always the first char should be in Caps. First 3 characters must be alphabets. Must contain Digits and Special char. It can be any number.

The whole thing works very well but my issue is, after entering and encrypted password how does the user then log into the database?
When a user types in his password, the typed in password will not match the ecnrypted value in the database.
So how do I decrypt what is in the database and compare with what the user typed in and then validate the user.

I am also using forms authentication to prevent an unauthorized user from accessing the other pages. The authentication seems to be working fine except for one thing. It prevents the user from accessing the password recovery page once the user click on the link button. i have a master/details page which shows walks planned for the future and they can click "details" for the full details
but what i want to incorporate into it is that when they are looking at the full details there is an option to add them to it as attending by entering a user name and password (saved in a table in the database) and if entered correctly their username will be added to it as attending.
When a user that has their IE set to save passwords hits my "Reset Password" form, the first text box set with TextMode set to "Password" is populated with the users saved password. Understandable, this is not the affect I would like as this is their "old" password. I cannot set the text of a text box with mode set to "Password" (naturally). Does someone know how to suppress or clear this value when IE is saving passwords?

I am struggling to login into my web portal on my new sony vaio laptop. I think that I need to do some settings, or download some plugin. Infact I don't know what to do, as I have spent many hours trying to login, but no success. The laptop is having windows 7 home premium, with ie8. I have also tried installing firefox, chrome, opera and safari, but same problem.
