I have a pop up window which contains a listbox. The items on the listbox should be filtered when it is opened based on the other parameters on the parent page. I am using session to pass the values from a page to another.
Now I wanted to hide, that is to make some of the columns visible false.
First how can I do that, Second should I write the code in the same page_load event or I should write the code some where else, cause when I add this line of code

I have a <asp:Wizard> control with 6 or so steps. In the first 3 steps, I want to hide the default Wizard navigation (Next button, etc.), as each WizardStep's contents will handle that. For the last 3 or so steps, if possible, I want to use the built-in navigation. I've modified the <StepNavigationTemplate> contents, but that alone doesn't cut it, because it affects all steps. Here are my options:
Find a way to dynamically show or hide the StepNavigation from the codebehind. (I feel like this might be best -- is it possible?) Use StepType with <StartNavigationTemplate>, <StepNavigationTemplate>, and <FinishNavigationTemplate> to switch between navigation options (marking multiple steps as "start" or "finish" feels like it's abusing the mechanism) Switch to a <asp:MultiView> and handle navigation manually (I'd rather not do this)
When selecting an image for an item in file upload control of ajax toolkit (AsyncFileUpload), the only files that should be displayed are ".jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, or .png".
I have simple SQL DB with invoice informations (i.e. invoice date, client info etc.). I'd like to use 'selecteddates' from the Calendar control to show the invoice information in a gridview with the invoice dates which are in the 'selecteddates' group.
I would like to simply have an image button on my page that would show an image that says something like "Upload File".When the user clicks the button I would like for it to automate popping up the "select file dialog" exactly like the "browse" button does on the FileUpload control now. Then if the user selects a file and click "OK" I want to do a post back where I can then initiate the upload. If the user clicks cancel from the dialog I would do nothing.So all I am trying to do her is make it so that the user does not see the text box for the file name and replace the plain old browse button with an image and do a postback if they click ok from the dialog.
I am looking for a solution to hide weekends on my calendar control. Need to hide the heading as well as the day itself. I see a few posts on thisa, but what is the recomended solution.
It would seem that having a weekend visible property would be a good enhancemet for the asp.net team.
I am using Visual Studio 2005. I have a gridview and when it is in edit mode, there is a locked textbox and an associated dropdownlist for the signature field. If a name already exists in the database, it will show up in the textbox. In that case, I would like to hide the dropdownlist.
So far, I have not been able to figure out how to make this happen.

I have a master page (frame.Master) and a content page (default.aspx) that uses frame.Master. Within frame.Master I have an ASP Panel control (pnlQuote). I do not want pnlQuote within frame.Master to be visiable when default.aspx loads. Normally I use the following code within Page_Load of the default.aspx.cs page: this.pnlQuote.Visible = false; however this does not work because pnlQuote is within frame.Master.

I have written a web usercontrol (ascx). Inside, there is a Panel that I want to show/hide on click of a hyperlink inside the usercontrol.
Normally, this is easy just by doing something like this (the onclick attribute is added to the hyperlink on prerender):

but because the ascx control is held within the gridview, the above will assess all the controls (of which there are many in the gridview) with the name 'PanelInvoiceHasBeenCreated'. The only time it will work is when there is 1 row in the gridview. Currently, with my existing code, if I click the hyperlink in any row, it shows/hides the panel in the bottom row of the gridview!
Therefore, my question is how do I get the actual, unique ID I need to show/hide on the correct control in the correct row?
In my organization we use nested groups. For a particular usage, we have a group (let's assume that the group name "kuku"), and the names of all the nested groups under it contains "kuku" as well.
We may assume that no other group in the LDAP has "kuku" in the name.
I need to create a filter which will return all the users which belong to one of the "kuku"s group.
Obviously, using this filter will bring only the head kukus
(&(&(objectclass=user)(objectclass=person))(memberOf=CN=kuku,cn=...rest of the group DN...))
How can I use wild card to fetch all users which belong to any kuku?
For example: (&(&(objectclass=user)(objectclass=person))(memberOf=CN=.*kuku.*))
