Those results are in the gridview. one of the column is a hyperlink. when clicked on the hyperlink, it will display the detail page in an iframe(iframe is in the main page below grid view) which is on the same page.
now i need to make changes to the main page, to display directly the detail page in an iframe when there is a single record. or the grid view when there are multiple recoreds so that user can choose which details they want tlp see when a search button is clicked.

Jun 17, 2010how to change the default event source for any particular application. So for example, forms authentication writes certain events by default like if authorization or authentication fails. The source for those on my machine is ASP.NET 2.0... I'd like to change the source to the application name. Now, I can do this on events I write code for myself, but I'd like all events that the application records to have the same source name. The reason I want to do this is so that I can create a seperate event file under the event viewer and filter in only events from that particular application. Is this possible?

Jul 13, 2010I have a web site with a navigation bar on the left side that uses image buttons to select the page you want to see. Each button has 3 possible images - the normal image when the page is not selected, the mouseover image when the the mouse is over the button, and the selected image when the button has been clicked and the page selected. Formerly each web page had its own navigation bar but I have moved the common content into a master page.
The problem I have is how to make the button image of the selected page to be the "selected" image rather than the "normal" image. Basically I need to change the imagebutton source to the "selected" image when a button is clicked and reset it to the normal image when a different button is clicked.
Currently the Javascript looks like this:

How can I tweak the Javascript so that the src of the clicked image is "content1_selected" instead of "content1_normal" and then reset it when another button is clicked. This seems like it would be a common need when moving a navigation bar to a master page to eliminate redundant code.

My question is - Is there any way, an attacker can change the src attribute to point other users to a malicious website considering that the src is determined on the server side?

Jan 22, 2010I am having trouble accessing an embedded Silverlight 2 media player in an aspx page from Javascript and was hoping someone might offer some insight on what's going on.
What I want to do is fire a javascript event on the client when a button is pressed to change the Silverlight media player media source and then play the newly selected file.
I found what seemed like a pretty straightforward example on the silverlight.net site that looked like this:

However, when I run it, I get an error "undefinedObject doesn't support this property or method".
I've confirmed that the client-side id I am using is correct, and I have tried using document.GetElementByID in place of $find (which is what I use elsewhere on the site successfully; my javascript kung fu is weak and I'm not precisely sure what the difference
might be) but it still doesn't work. It all seems like it should work as it was presented in the example, but I only get that error.

Feb 9, 2011I have created a web application that docks other web applications into it.When an application is docked the app creates a link button in its "tool box" on the left hand side of the page, users can easily click on any link button to navigate to the desired docked app.
I have a web app that uses iframes to display other web applications inside it. In effect it is a docking application where users can easily access many web applications from within one main app, while staying within the main app. I am having challenges dynamically resizing the iframe based on the size of the application the user is accessing.I have searched the web and tried many ideas but have yet to discover the code that will do the trick.
First, for a docking web application is the iframe the best approach? I have see some posts on ajax but am uncertain how that will help.
Second, if an iframe is the way to do it does anyone have code that will completely liminate the need for iframe scroll bars?
Note:The applications docked in the main we app may be of any size and can change size as users interact with them.

Mar 29, 2011I have an ASP.NET website. This site is fairly complex in the sense that it has all sorts of blurs, gradients and rounded corners. The content of the website is always going to be in the same area, an area within some rounded corners. The content is going to be of a dynamic height. And, I can't show any scrollbars, other than those displayed by the browser window.
The banner is a Flash movie. I want to prevent the page from flickering. Because of this, I want to only update the url of the content portion. My question is, is there a way to do this without significant re-working? I thought an iframe would be suitable, but I can't figure out:
How to make the iframe's height dynamically grow/shrink based on the size of the content Get rid of the borders / scrollbars across the major browsers.
Is what I'm trying possible? Is there a better way to do it?

How To Change Data Source In Reportviewer Control
Mar 17, 2011I have a reportviewer (Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms) control on my page. All my reports use one data source. I want to be able to let my reports run on a different database when started from my UAT enviroment. So the location of the reports is the same, but the data comes from a different db. I cannot seem to find how this is done, is it even possible?
EDIT: They are server reports on SQL Server . I know you can set the dataset programmaticaly but I just want the reports to point to a different db and leave the rest of the report intact.
