It does not render and displays the white box with red x. My other images are showing fine. I am using Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010 Express and IE for my browser. Here is my code.

View 5 RepliesI am new to asp.net .. I want to create menu in a page ..
Can I find examples of asp menu
i want to create menus on left side
in a way that when i click on one Menu then SubMenus Should be Opened under main menu and there shoud be a Symbol of + in Front of Main Menu when not Explored and - when Explored,
when I hover over a menu option it's contents are shown above instead of the Bottom off. Even though the hover control says bottom. In my browser and others it works fine, I use IE8. But some browsers it's goes wrong.
<cc1:HoverMenuExtender runat="Server"

background-repeat:repeat-x;background-position:left
bottom;

I have a page that I am adding user controls to the bottom of the controls each postback. The User Control has a textbox in it and the focus needs to be on this newly created control textbox each time. It all works almost perfectly however when there are too many controls to fit on the page, because I set the focus to the textbox the bottom of the page is set to the textbox that has focus not the very bottom of the page. I have a submit button below this which ends up below the page limit. How can I set focus to a textbox but still scroll to the every bottom of the page to show the submit button.
View 1 RepliesI have a grid view where the user can change pages at either the top or the bottom of the grid view. I want the view to go back to the top whenever a user changes the page, whether they are changing from the top or the bottom. I've tried using anchors and javascript to achieve this but it does not work. The javascript is executed and the user is taken to the top of the gridview, this can be seen by placing an alert after the javascript to change the view. But the last thing that happens on the page change is that the window is returned to it's previous position (the bottom of the page). Is there any way of doing this?
View 4 RepliesI have a gridview control in my page to which user can add rows dynamically and to do this I have provided a link button . But mu problem here is whenever I click on this link button (which is outside grid) grid is going to the bottom of the page(grid is inside a panel for adjusting the height).
View 2 RepliesSo i want to create a simple menu but i'm just getting started so here is my thoughts.
1)I've seen a lot of javascript based menus. Can i incorporate one of them inside a server control? Also can i use roles to determine who views what page? With sitemap?
2)Sitemap ok for menus and roles?
3)I'm testing a menu control with a SiteMapDataSource. Ok i have much problems but the no1 problem is that i want the tabs to go horizontal in the page and not vertical.
[code]....
I thought i could change the sitemap but it only allows on sitemapnode. Here is a sitemap i have done long time ago and i used it. I don't know why i have set p.e. ?cat=usr, probably wrong?I don't get anything from a querystring.Ajnyway i thought i'll leave it so you may comment.

I have an asp:Menu control on a master page that is reading its menu items from a web.sitemap file via a SiteMapDataSource. When I click on a menu, the new page loads which uses the same master page, but the ASP:Menu vanishes. I have put some plain text next to the menu for testing, this appears on the new page but the menu does not.Does anyone know how to get the asp:Menu to remain visible on the page?
View 4 RepliesI am using a cms product that likes to cache every page so that you get quick response times. The downside of that is that pages can get stale. My question is: are there different caches per user? Does asp.net keep track of caches on a per user per site basis? That's what is seems like to me, but I can't seem to find it documented anywhere. With this cms, they have a load of hashtables keeping tabs on the modified pages. If you clear out the cache, log out, and log back in again as another user, you still have stale information. The only way to get the information to be current for all users is to recycle the app pool, which is something you don't want to do too often ( kinda like pulling the emergency brake on the train ).
View 2 RepliesI'm trying to create an ASP.NET MVC master page so the site navigation on it will look like this:
Main Menu:Home | About | News
Sub Menu: Home_Page1 | Home_Page2
The Sub Menu section should always show sub-menu for the currently selected Main Menu page (on the example above 'Home' page is selected) unless a user hovers the mouse on another Main Menu item (then it shows that item's sub-menu instead).
I am having trouble with a aspx page that when I click on the link to go to the page it opens/starts at the bottom. I want the page to open at the top like normal pages do.

We have to develop an application which has a Vertical left pane menu control which displays all the web pages (A,B,C say). Now if user is in page A and filled some data and clicks on menu control to go to page B, all the data in page A needs to be saved. Also if all the required field in page A are not filled and user navigated to page B, there will be one ! sign after the menu so that user can understand that there some some more fields need to be filled up.
We are planning to place the menu control in the Mater page. Please give me some direction to do this. My question is:
1. If user change menu (In Master Page), how should we save data?
2. How should we display the ! in the menu control?
I have a database that has names and months of birth. I would like to have a Choose Month: with a drop down menu to select the month of your choice, then have the results show in a gridview at the bottom of the page. I thought this would be fairly simple but my grid doesn't show anything.

I'm using a wizard control with 4 steps, when I use the previous button to navigate back to the previous step the page reloads but at the bottom of the page.Instead of showning the whole of the page, the user views the footer of the site and the previous button and next button.I'm sure there is a very simple answer to this but I just can't figure out how to get the page to reload to the top.
