Im using a ValidatorCallOutExtender for validate a ASP:textbox, but I have the problem when the scroll is at the top of the page, everything works fine, but if the scroll is at the bottom the validatorcallout is displayed above the textbox which is assigned. I tried adding a CSS mentioned in several places, a script that runs when the page is loaded, so as to put the SetFocusOnError = "true" but nothing has worked, the error occurs in all browsers.
I've got a modal popup and when it loads contents that are taller than the browser height I am unable to scroll down to view the rest of the information. Instead the background can scroll but the popup won't, I'd like to have the popup stay in place so the users can see the bottom of the modal.
I have a formview tied to a gridview. The formview is used for insert, delete and update. A new row gets inserted to the top of the gridview instead of the bottom. How do I make the gridview add the new row to the bottom?
I have a gridview which has an edit button. If the edit button is clicked, then textboxes appear that allow users to enter data. The problem is if i scrolldown the gridview and i click the edit button, the page posts back and the scroll position is not maintained.
I'm trying to make a web page that only has content within the page itself. The page itself should not have scrollbars (although individual parts should have scrollbars). I want it to look very similar to how the Java API is laid out here, http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/, but without frames.
I'm working on a ASP.Net web page with two tables positioned in the center of the page with one on top of the other. The table on top contains input fields that are dynamically generated by the code-behind, so the number of input fields varies. The table on the bottom contains content that is constant and doesn't change. The layout of the page is fixed and must remain so. My question is, how do I make the bottom table dynamically adjust vertically so that it doesn't overlap with the fields from the top table. The general HTML layout of the page is something like the following:
I'm thinking I could wrap the bottom table in a div, but I'm not sure what specific styling will achieve the desired effect. I basically want to maintain the fixed positioning horizontally, but have the vertical alignment adjust to prevent overlap with the top.
Here is a screen cap that shows the two tables overlapping. The buttons you see are in the bottom table, the fields are supposed to be on the top, all elements are positioned absolutely in the center of the browser screen.
I updated the HTML sample above with the styles that are currently in use.
I making web application for iphone user. I have HTML table structure inside asp.net panel and i have set panel's scrollbar property to vertical. It works fine in all the browsers but not working in iphone browser.
After reading the solution provided below. I achieved full screen but here i got a trap. I was using timer to make my page postback to get fresh data after every 5 second. And here I found after every 5 sec new window opens up but I want full screen to go only once and next time content gets refreshed there itself.
I have a page that I am adding user controls to the bottom of the controls each postback. The User Control has a textbox in it and the focus needs to be on this newly created control textbox each time. It all works almost perfectly however when there are too many controls to fit on the page, because I set the focus to the textbox the bottom of the page is set to the textbox that has focus not the very bottom of the page. I have a submit button below this which ends up below the page limit. How can I set focus to a textbox but still scroll to the every bottom of the page to show the submit button.
I have a gridview control in my page to which user can add rows dynamically and to do this I have provided a link button . But mu problem here is whenever I click on this link button (which is outside grid) grid is going to the bottom of the page(grid is inside a panel for adjusting the height).
I have a textbox that searches the listbox below it and selects the text that I types in the textbox. Now although the item is selected in the listbox I have to scroll to the end to see if the item is selected ornot IS there a way that I can make the list box scroll to the selected item?
The reason? The page would be much more search engine friendly and it would render faster in the browser. I tried the HttpModule from Mads Kristensen [URL] but as mentioned in the comments, AJAX throws errors when this module is used.
Is there a way to move that stuff to the bottom of the page and keep all the functionality of the website (AJAX, keeping data in the Viewstate)?
I have a listview control that contains a lot of records per page. My customer wants it that way. When the user clicks on a new page number, the new page opens at the bottom of the listview. How can I get it to open at the top if the page?
