Mar 17, 2010I want to create a user registration form, I used the CreateUserWizard control, and i intend to add more filed with the wizard interface, the fields were firstname,lastname, telephone all these with the textBox control and sex-male or female with a radioButton control, and upload photo with the FileUpload control.
After a successfull submit to the sql database, i should be able to retrieve all this informtion inluding the photo uploaded in another aspx page using any of the data control in y toolbox and resizein the photo to be 100/100 pixel size. pls could you write out the code (step by step details) to follow to implement all this in my asp.net 3.5 c# website. I have already created a table in my database, using userId as my ForeignKey.

Aug 9, 2010I've just encountered an interesting problem in a standard BoundField in a GridView. The field is for EmployeeCode, which is purely numeric, but stored in a character column in the database. The DataFormatString="{0:00000}" attribute on the BoundField doesn't work, as I assume that format is only for numeric values.
To work around this, I had to use a TemplateField, and bind the text value using the attribute Text='<%# PadNumericString(Eval("EmployeeCode").ToString(), 5) %>'. Is there no simpler way of doing this?

I have a form that a user fills and then submits the data into a database, it needs to be approved in several places before its finalized. It sends out an email with information to the approver, what i would like is a link in the email so that the approver is swiftly taken to the next step in the process.
