Mar 21, 2010I am maintaining a website that has .Aspx web pages with no code behind C# files. This has been a challenge for me, because I need to do the following:
1.) When the page first loads, display a Java Script popup message box.
So how can I do this if I don not have a code behind C# file where I can check for isPostback in the on page load method? Can the on page load method be placed inline in the .aspx code? Anyway I need to figure out how to answer my question 1 above.

Java Script To Hide Column - Can't Use Code Behind?
Feb 9, 2010I am looking for a solution to a Java Script question. My question is this, I have a gridview, and in this gridview I have a column, which I use as a flag. The gridview itself is dynamically added to a user control and then to the page. What I would like to do is to use Java Script to hide this column, but I do not know how to do this. Unfortunately, I cannot use code behind, because of the gridview being dynamically added. Also, I have one further question, I already have some Java Script code that can hide some of the rows based upon the values in my column when a button is clicked. What I want to do is when the page is loaded for the first time, to hide some of these rows, and to use the button in reverse to reveal them again. How do I achieve this?

I have a database table in MS SQL Server. For each table in database, I must implement the interface for viewing, editing, and deleting. So code generator must generate model, controller and views.. Generation should happen after clicking on the button in WEB UI.as Model I use .NET Entity Framework.
Now, I need to generate controllers and views.
So if i have a table with name tableN1. and below its colums:

Now what is happening is that. When I select a different item from the drop down list this confirm box does show up BUT it first clears the content of the text boxes and then this confirm box appears. What I want is that the textboxes content should be cleared ONLY when OK is clicked.

Feb 24, 2011I have found all kinds of tutorials on the web showing how to implement the AJAX slideshow extender, but can't get them to work. All I want to do is put a simple slideshow on a master page. I want to use a code behind file for the c# (do not want the script on the page itself.
I ran into a couple of problems with the samples on the web. Specifically when I try to add System.Web.Services.WebMethod and System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptMethod - VS 2010 doesn't know what the "WebMethod" or the "ScriptMethod" are. Further, VS2010 express keeps telling me "{" expected - on the line AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[] slides = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[5];
Every tutorial on the web seems to be for ASP.net 2.0 - and is at least 2 years old. Is there an easier way in ASP.Net 4 to implement the slideshow control? I am new to c# in general, so if someone could provide a simple cs codebehind file - and the code on the aspx page, that would be great. I understand more than I can write.

When the user hits the Enter Key I want to go through and validate some fields and kick it back to the user if a fields doesnt' validate. With the above code, the btnEnter_Click still is getting called even though I have it to return. I tried return false; too incase I misunderstood something.BTW, yes the code is falling into the Else Statement when stepping through code.
