View 2 RepliesI am using below code to validate interger and float in asp.net but if i not enter decimal than it give me error
<asp:TextBox ID="txtAjaxFloat" runat="server" />
<cc1:FilteredTextBoxExtender ID="FilteredTextBoxExtender1" TargetControlID="txtAjaxFloat" FilterType="Custom, numbers" ValidChars="." runat="server" />
i have this regex also but its giving validation error if i enters only one value after decimal. [URL]
Why does this markup ...
<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" CausesValidation="False"></asp:TextBox>
<asp:RegularExpressionValidator ID="RegExValidatorTextBox1" runat="server"
ControlToValidate="TextBox1"
[code]...
Which Regex do I use so the user can't enter in all caps in the textbox?

Now is the time
Don't want this...

I have two validation groups on a form (we will call them VG1 & VG2). I have the following code:
<asp:TextBox ID="textbox1" runat="server" ValidationGroup="VG2" />
<asp:RequiredFieldValidator Text="*" ForeColor="#C301B9" ID="RequiredFieldValidator1" runat="server" ErrorMessage="My error message" ControlToValidate="textbox1" ValidationGroup="VG2" />
When this control has focus and I hit enter the validation summary displays the validation error messages for VG1.
VG1 fields are not visible (set via JS). I think I may need to also disable VG1 validation group summary.
i have one listbox ,textbox and button I want to when you press the button is filled listbox from textbox
Note I want to make sure that where the value of textbox without using validation control When you also want to add value is listed first i need the code for this question
i am creating a registration page.i want dat as the user writes the username there should b a check of the user in the databse,if it is available or not.Like when we register a account on a yahoo.
View 6 RepliesI use VB. When put text into textbox1. and then push "enter". It will trigger one event. How can I do it? What to write in the file *.aspx.vb?
View 3 RepliesI have 2 textbox’s and checkbox list. I want user to either enter text in one of the textbox or select any item from the checkbox list. User has to do only one action i.e. either fill the first textbox or second text box or select any item from the list.
View 1 RepliesI am working on a website. I am using C# 2008. I want to make a text box that accept only numbers & comma(,). for example-919981424199,78848817711,47171111747 or there may be a single number like 919981424199.
I was able to do one thing My text box only containing number by using this Regular Expression validation.in its property->Validation Expression i wrote "[0-9]+". This is working but now my requirement is to send bulk SMS & each number is separated by (,).
I am using the following code,
vb Code:
Partial Class _Default Inherits System.Web.UI.Page
Public count As Integer = 0
Protected Sub Timer1_Tick(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Timer1.Tick count += 1
Label1.Text = "You clicked the button " & count.ToString & " times!" End Sub End Class
however, all the page ever displays is "You clicked the button 1 times"
I have an HTML text box and button:
<input type='text' onkeypress='onEnter(this, event);' />
<input type='button' />
This works fine (when you push enter, another function is called) unless the page has a FormView control on it.
In this case, pushing Enter in the textbox above attempts to validate the form on the page. It will still correctly call the onEnter function, but I need the Enter keypress to not cause Validation of any other forms on this page.
All input fields in the FormView are part of a ValidationGroup, but this doesn't seem to affect anything.
What is the best way to keep the .Net validation from happening when I push Enter in my HTML textbox?
How can we make enter key press as default click in asp.net ...

View 10 RepliesI am having dataset and I want to validate particular column for Integer(Numeric) value.
e.g.
ErrorRows = dt.Select("LEN(Year) <> 4 ")
Above I have to validate Year column for Numeric value otherwise it should give me erroneous records which have data other than numeric.
I like the way that the chart control seems to automatically determine the X axis range for me based on the data, but in this case, the data can only be whole numbers.
What is the easiest way to specify whole numbers for this axis?
I have a problem. I have a textbox where i enter the amount and in another textbox the amount in words comes automatically. View 1 RepliesIn asp.net textbox: enter text and it appears instantly in another textbox
i need this all over the my web app so it should be more light weighted too
In master page i, put like this
<bodyonkeydown="return (event.keyCode!=13)" >
...........
..........
..........
</body>
where it disable enter key in all pages,
but, i, have to input multiple line in textbox, for ex. Address in one text box
What i, need is for multiple line, i, need to use enter key here.
how to go head, in this case where i, put onkeydown in master page.
I have a textbox that I want the user to enter an integer in.1) I have created a required field validator, to ensure it is not left blank.2) A compare validator, to ensure the value entered is an integer using datatypecheck.3) A range validator to limit the range of the entered integer.If a letter is entered, instead of an integer, errors from both 2) and 3) are displayed.Is there a way to only show the error from 2) if a letter is entered and 3) if the integer is out of range - rather than both?
View 1 RepliesI have a master page which includes a search textbox and a button which posts back to another page. The controls are defined as follows:
<asp:TextBox
ID="SearchTextBox"
runat="server"
style="margin-left:
0px"
Width="170px" />
<cc1:TextBoxWatermarkExtender
ID="SearchTextBox_TextBoxWatermarkExtender"
runat="server"
Enabled="True"
TargetControlID="SearchTextBox"
WatermarkCssClass="watermark"
WatermarkText="Search Name" />
<asp:Button
ID="SearchButton"
runat="server"
Text="Search"
PostBackUrl="~/SearchPage.aspx"/>
The problem is that for any other TextBox on the page which is using this MasterPage, for example the login page, if you type your user name and password and hit Enter, The page is redirected to the SearchPage. If you click on login buttton everything works fine. How do I make sure hitting enter on the page in any other text box does not post back to SearchPage.aspx?
Added <Body onkeydown = "return(event.keyCode!=13)"> into a VS2008 masterpage. Did this to disable the Enter key from basically doing a button click event. The code works great, however, we use multiline textboxes that were accepting Enter to do a newline in the textbox. Now the multiline textbox does nothing when Enter is pressed. Is there an override that would work on a single form that loads behind the master page? Ref: your Disable Enter key in TextBox to avoid postback in ASP.Net.
