View 1 RepliesI have developed a website in English, i want this application to be in arabic also. Say suppose there are 50 members 30 knew english and 20 knew arabic , when i open my application it should open to them in specific language.
my application will have many entry fields(name,address..) and buttons to save , search. The arabic text entered in textbox should be viewable by both english and arabic known guys in their respective language. (ie) the arabic text should be readable in english for english known person and in arabic for arabic known person and viceversa., so that 50 member details should be viewable to 50 persons in their language.
Am developing a SMS Application, from there I have to send Arabic text by SMS, problem is that SMS Gateway does not accept Arabic text directly, Gateway accept Arabic text in Unicode/UCS2 format. So I need code to convert Arabic text in Unicode Format.

As you can see that I am sending 2 QueryString with URL. I am getting both correctly as long as I am sending static data. The problem is that I want to send one of my Grideview column value through QueryString something like this i want and I tried:

I am not getting the ID value as per column value but the same Gridview code like this "GridView1.SelectedRow.Cells(1).Text.ToString". How should I correct this syntax so i can send my column value through URL.
i have made fulltext index in 4 columns in a table ( 2 ARABIC columns (title,Desc(html) AND ENGLISH(title,Desc(html))it works fine locally when i use contains function in search but in sever arabic search doesnt work well .

I use nvarchar type field for database. but when I copy arabic or russian text from somewhere it turns into ?s. I have a HyperLink control in a ListView, and I need to pass a couple of querystring parameters.

I have a very simple (rather stupid) question, I hope someone can clear my mind on this :)
I want to send an email to my site user once he clicks a button. This email will contain a link with the userID of a user in the link URL (as query param of a link).
Once the user clicks this email link, my server side code will parse and decrypt the userID query string key to get the user ID and perform some action on it.
I cannot use base64 encoding as it can be reversed and 'hackers' can get to know the real userID. I have to encrypt the ID but when I am using AES alogrithms for encryption, the encrypted text is not "understandable" by the browser, ie I cannot pass the encrypted userId text as a part of the URL because it contains un-encoded characters like "/" which the browser cannot by pass. One option I can think of is to base64 encode the encrypted text once I send it across via URL. Then I can bease64 decode and decyrpt it.
Is this approach better than using Uri.EscapeDataString() on the encyrpted text?
For some reason the line breakes from asp.net textboxes are not being stored in my db.
I am using Server.HtmlEncode(txtAbout.Text) to take the text from the textbox. This part works and text is taken out with line brakes
But when I trace the text the line breaks are lost After this line

However, the page errors with the message "Value cannot be null." if I don't pass a value. I know that DataList does not have an EmptyItem Property like a Gridview control. I do not want the page to error if I don't pass a value. Need info to deal with empty values in a datalist.

The 'list' throws an error. The error is "Too few type arguments to 'System.COllections.Generic.List". I am not sure if the code is written in C# and that is what is causing the error. It seems that it should work but I can not figure out the 'list' error.
