I'd like to make some words of a cell in gridview Bold. For example - "MRN No.: SI0021848 Name: Cherry" like my attachment. I could query this field value from database but don't know how to make some words Bold. How to do it?
I would like to know why somethimes DefaultValue in properties window is displayed in bold text and somethimes in normal weight text? What i know is that the Value in Properties Window should display bold only if the Value is different than DefaultValue.
So i have a situation, where i need to set DefaultValue's and i'm successfully setting the boolean Value but failing in Integer value...
aspx:
[Code]....
Now the reason why i'm using Int32 in this example is that i hovered the mouse over the DefaultValue and it's said that "represents a 32-bit signed integer" but still no luck.
Why is my StepHour displayed bold and how to display this DefaultValue in regular weight text?

I have gridview that contains a check box, messageId and firstName. The gridview is getting information from the database and showing them in the gridview and in a checkbox. The gridview shows the fields that are selected and that are not selected. I want to send an email to all people that the check box is selected.
I have already created the email system and it is working. What I don't to know is how to get the information from the gridview and place in the mail.To.Add(?); so I can send the information to all people into the database.
i have 3 textboxes on an asp.net page and i would like to send the text on all those textboxes as an email message body when a button is clicked. I want each text on each textbox to appear on a new line(this i can do), but i also want the lines to be bulleted. Something like
Text on Textbox1 Text on Textbox2 Text on Textbox3
I'm working with a custom DropDownList control in ASP.Net and there's been a request to display certain items in the list with a bold typeface (NOTE - the control inherits from CompositeDataBoundControl so it can be data bound... not DropDownListBox). The control is bound to a table and there's a column in the table named IsUsed - if this is set to true, the corresponding item in the list should be rendered bold. (It should be noted here that this will only ever be viewed in FireFox.)
My experience is all in the middle backend tiers so the presentation layer is very new to me - can someone point me in the right direction? My initial thought was that somewhere in the custom control I would have access to all the rows that are returned from the data source which I could cycle through etc but I'm not sure if that's possible... There's also RenderContents which I can override... looks interesting!
My code sends email via asp.net mail namespace. Basically I generate HTML code which carries an image tag referring to an image on server. It uses absolute path and then the html email is sent to recipients.
Now when they receive emails on gmail and other clients, it wouldnt display images and not that images are broken but it wouldnt get displayed. Gmail is an issue wherein it prompts of non-https message and then display link on top. I know how to get around but my recipients have no clue on this technical things. so they end up not seeing the images.
How can I resolve this issue? How can I ensure that they always receive images irrespective of their internet settings?
Here is my situation and hopefully someone could guide me in the right direction.I have a shared or static class in my website (App_Code folder) which has static methods to send emails asychronoulsy. So whenever there is an exception in any of my pages or classes I call these methods to send an email to support asynchronously. Now when there is an exception in a page, to route that exception asynchronously I need to have Async = "true" for that page. I have more than 50 pages and I don't want to set Async= "true" on every page as I read that it affects performance. So I was wondering if there is any way I could send emails asynchronously without having to set async = "true" on every page.
