Oct 21, 2010As it stands right now, I have a literal control on my page. In my code-behind, I'm using StringBuilder to generate some JavaScript. Also on that page I have a item collection. What I want to do is for each item in my item collection, generate my literal which will in essence generate my JavaScript. Here is an example of my code-behind now. I'm ok with doing something different, but I just need to generate said JavaScript for every item in the collection and I'm not sure how to do it.

What I want to do is get the index of the item in the collection after productpage_rec.
So for instance, the first product would generate like

and so on and so forth for each product in the collection. When I try to build I get the follwong error:
"cannot convert from string to char"
Its tripping up on the product_productpage_rec{0}

What I want to do is, asynchronously be able to do a partial postback when a button is pressed.It's a simple application that should add items and retrieve existing items from an IEnumberable<T> collection.

Apr 13, 2010I've been pulling my hair out over this one... I've searched on the net and even in the forums, but can't seem to come up with an answer for a simple question.I tried the following code inside my html to get the selected value that comes from our database into the grid and it doesn't work. I am positive that a value exists for the itemType. It is 1. Instead of Checked, I tried SelectedItem and SelectedIndex. Neither of those worked.

I suppose it is impossible to remove an item from the collector when you are looping.

First Question Can I bind this dictionary to the ASP.Net GridView?
Now next question, I want to show following kind of UI i.e. Show multiple CustomerOrders in one row of Customer.

There's rarely more than 2-3 roles for any one person.I wanted to store the colelction of roles in Session state to save the time accessing the DB on each request.I basically want to write code that checks if a given string exists in the collection to test if the user has that role or not.My question is...what's the best way to do this? Is an array the best collection to store the role strings in Session with? Or is a dictionary better? I figure an array will take less memory (I don't really need a key + value) although a dictionary might lookup faster.
