i have tried it by ICallbackEventHandler, but WebForm_DoCallback(this,arg,RecieveMessage,"",null,false); simply postback my current page, but i need to postback footer.aspx only and call "public void RaiseCallbackEvent(String eventArgument)".
I have seen article in code snippet but i have never used web services so that is complicated .

Values in multiselect dropdown not getting selected when Select All option is selected for a SSRS dropdown. There are multiple dropdowns on the page. We have one dropdown whose output is being used to populate the second dropdown using a stored procedure. When we check the Select All checkbox on the dropdown then ideally upon page refresh all the values should get selected in the dropdown, but in this case the page refreshes back to the blank dropdown, forcing the user to select the values again. The next dropdown too does not get populated. This makes it impossible to run the report for all the cases by using Select All. We ran the report on differnet database environments. My current location is Mumbai,India, the report worked fine when we ran it on a Bangalore,india database. This issue occurs when we try running it on a Chicago database server. I am using SSRS 2005, SQL2005.

View 1 RepliesI have a form in asp.net mvc that retrieves records from the database. this form have dropdowns. in Edit action of controller it is must to have selected the already inserted items. suppose if i am taking the User information for edit, then its City,State and country must be selected as they inserted before.
So i tried in Edit:

same like country and state. but though CityId_ have value but it no appear like that. It defaults from first city (same for all) why this because ?

I have my code output a gridview with all the data with an option to select records. I'm trying to make a code which would allow me to select a record, and then print this record using a specific Report stored in MS Access.
I've located the code to print the Report it self, but it prints ether all the records or a range.
I have a project which contains a header page (header.ascx) included in a main page (page1.aspx). the header has a dropdown list. the main page has a code behind page (page1.aspx.cs) which calls a data page (data.cs) which in turn calls a query page (query.cs). The problem is that I need to get the selected value of the dropdown from header.ascx over to query.cs and write it into a variable. I can't seem to reference the control itself, so I added a session variable to the selectedindexchanged event for the dropdown, but I can't seem to reference that variable either.
1) what is the best (performance-wise) way to pass the value (which will have a dash in it, like '1-114' from the header page to the query code?
2) are there any specific using statements or such that need to be added?

View 6 RepliesI have a 3 page vb.net web application (long story, but it has to be multiple pages). Page one has a datagrid that has rows of data. When a user selects a row, I check to see what "RecordType" corresponds to the row selected. If the RecordType = 1, Page Two loads. If the RecordType = 2, Page Three Loads. The problem I've run into, is that once page two or three loads, all the data is lost. In the gridview, I have the several values in the DataKeyNames, but "loose" them all between pages. Is there a way to pass this data to the next page other than ...Session - I guess I could set the values in the datakeynames as session data.. right?
QueryString - I really don't want to use querystrings, as I don't want users "messing" with the URL.Is there another option available in .NET? I'm kind of hesitant to set sessions, because I'm afraid the values won't get cleared out as needed...

I have a main "index" view that has a drop down and a submit button. When a selection is made (CampaignId) and a submit button is pressed a list of items is displayed and filtered based on the selection from the drop down list.
I've added a partial view (on the right rail) of my site that lists a bunch of campaigns. when a link is pressed in that partial view a (CampaignId) is passed to my page and the same thing happends as if you would make a selection from the drop down. The issue is that the dropdown "Campaign Name" should be selected based on the selection from the partial view.
