I need to manipulate the appearance of the an ASP.NET calendar control. I have data that I need to display on the calendar control but I don't want to access the data from within the DayRender event. How do I access the CalendarDay object that represents each day in the calendar without being within the DayRender event?
View 1 RepliesI need to display a large monthly calendar of events for one of my websites and was wondering if the DayRender event loops through all days in any given month when the calendar control is displayed on the webpage.

The code above looks like it loops through the DataSet row by row and matches the e.Day.Date item. But i'm just not too sure about the loop going through all days in a given month displayed on the calendar?
I'm trying to do something that should be very simple, but getting completely stumped on why it's not working.
I have a page that has a few calendar controls, and when the user clicks a date, I want it to toggle the value (in this case it's the "availability" of the date).
I don't want it to post back with every calendar click, so what I'm doing is:
1. During the dayrender event, a Hidden Field gets added to the day. (As it is created, the Hidden Field is added to an array so that it can be retrieved later.)
2. When the user clicks, the value of the Hidden Field is toggled using JavaScript.
3. Once the user is done marking unavailable days, they click a Save button, which gets the values, and saves them to the database.
The Hidden Fields are getting added, and toggling is working just fine. The problem is that when the user clicks the Save button, all the Hidden Fields and their values get cleared, so at the time of the save, it thinks the length of the Hidden Field array is 0.
I think it has something to do with the order in whcih the page is rendered, and the "Save" code executed, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I'm doing something almost identical on another page that works fine - the only difference is that on that page there are no calendar controls, so instead of being added at dayrender, the dynamic controls are added on page load.
If I wanted to add a Hidden Field for each day in a calendar, whose value I can change with Javascript, how do I go about it in a way that I can access the values when clicking a Save button?
i am trying to solve this problem but cann't think of a perfect solution.suppose i have a list of days

now i want to disable all the weekdays in the calander (disable these days in each week).how can i do that?
I have a calendar (in an update panel, if that matters) that lists events. In many cases the event name is too long. So I dug up a script that will add an ellipsis and chop the string on the client side.
The question is how do I call that script for each event after all the DayRender events have fired. And again after the calendar is updated when a user switches the view forward or back a month?
Just want to know how do you iterate through the calendar days on the DayRender event and change them to links from link buttons

View 4 RepliesWhen I add controls during dayrender event everything works fine. When the calendar is rendered in the browser the cell the control is added to gets larger. I mean the height of the cell grows alot. So, if I add something March 1st the cell that has the 1st in it grows very tall when I add a control to it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the cell from growing so tall?
View 6 RepliesI'm creating an ASP.NET control dynamically based on a value selected in a dropdown; for instance the field can be a textbox or a checkbox (for now), and then it gets added to a placeholder control. However, I'm unsure how to retrieve the value - using the placeholder's FindControl method returns null although I'm specifying the ID when I create the control.

I have a Custom WebControl. Inside this control I add a button and I want it to access an EventHandler that is on the WebForm where the control is included. The handler handles with controls from the WebForm, so it has to be there. I could probably manage to take the button out of the control, but it would be better to keep it on the control, for organization sake.

CHECKBOX on the user control page each time the user check the CHECKBOX the user control content totally disappears from the EDIT.ASPX page. There is no error message -- I believe this is a post back error but I don't know how to fix it.

View 1 RepliesMy requirement is to disable a control on Master page when user is on some specific step of asp:wizard control. I am facing 2 challenges,
1. I am not able to disable the control master page by setting its Enabled property as false, this is inspite that I am getting the control object when I do a Master.FindControl("MyControlName").
2. To try and disable the control from JS, I am not able to find a JS event that would get called when a speific tab step get active and loaded.
I'm working on an ASP.NET app.I'm using a UserControl for a year calendar.This UserControl has 12 asp.net calendar controls (for the 12 months of a year)

View 2 RepliesI've got two websites. One is a copy of the other, I even went ahead and remade a copy of the original a second time hoping it would alleviate the issue I'm having but it didn't.
On both pages I have a calendar so the route is

The issue is on the original site /Calendar works. It shows the Calendar page with the current month. On the copy site /Calendar gives a 404 but /Calendar/Index shows the Calendar page with the current month.
Is it possible to show an event when I mouse over on a specific event? The calendar's events come from a database and the date's backcolor is different if it has a scheduled event.

I understand I need to load my dynmaic control on every postback and preferrably in Page_Init(). But my dyanmic controls are loaded from a dropdownlist selectedindexchanged event handler. Now after any postback, my dynamic controls are gone. How would I force it to load on every postback ?

For tat i have a masterpage with calendar usercontrol with tasks... and content page with calendar usercontrol with events Now content page displays both calendar with events and with tasks.
Now when i navigate calendar with events ....the calendar with tasks shuld also navigate to same mnth.
for tat i have used public properties in master page to set values to calendar tasks.
and in content page am setting values to properties in master page usign calendar events properties.
am updating the values even on selection changed and visible mnth changed events.
The problem is tat am facing problems with the synchronizing..
i.e if calendar tasks is always having the previous value of calendar events.
Is there any way to synchronize them?
I am making a Event Calendar . I want to use the Calendar to display the events for each months. I have a table in SQL that have all the event already . But dont know how to binding it with the Calendar using the Dayrender .
