C# - Add New Line To Label
Mar 2, 2010I get the data from the database and display that data on the label. I have to apply new line on the text of the label for every 35 charecters. Because after 35 charecters the text overflows.

The problem is that, depending on the width of the screen, the labels (e.g. "Postcode") do not always appear on the same line as the text box/dropdown they refer to. Is there a way of ensuring that, when it needs to "flow" an element down to the next line, it flows the label and the input control together?

But I want to set the line-height dynamically.
I have been trying code-behind like this:
Me.Label2.Style.Add(HtmlTextWriterStyle.Color,"green")
There does not seem to be an enumeration for line-height though.

May 18, 2010I have an ASP.NET control. I want to align the textbox to the right and the label to the left.
I have this code so far:

The textbox aligns to the right, but the label aligns to the left and on the line above. How can I fix this so that the label is on the left, the textbox on the right, and both on the same line?

Aug 10, 2010For some reason when i add a bulleted list after a label it moves it onto the next line, is there anything I can do about this? Dropdown lists don't do the same thing - I want it to be;

Also I am using a bulleted list to show a particular field in a database where the line is selected in a previous dropdown - is this the best way of doing it?
Ie select New York in the drop down, the bulleted list then displays the address field from the same line in the DB

since the LabelFor method inserts a line break, so the result returned is like:

Mar 15, 2010I have Template fields configured for Gridview. The gridview is using an objectdatabsource to bind itself. I have the gridview configured to use Templatefields which then contain tables to display the information. This works fine.
My question is, is it possible to change the text of the label if certain criteria is reached. If "NumberOfDwellings" is 1 then change the label to read, "1 Dwelling". Where-as if NumberOfDwellings has more than one then it's "3 Dwellings".
