How I can get the generated view code below to place the editor-field to the right of the editor-label, on the same row? I don't want to mess with the generated defaults, e.g. remove the divs, as I am still in very early dev and regenerate views quite often.
I am pulling data from my table, but have it assigned to a label that is too short. I don't want the label to expand horizontally. Is there a way to make the label multiple lines? For reasons not mentioned, I need to get the data into a label using a while statement instead of with a datalist, repeater, etc.
how to pull the latest version or label from the TFS through Command Line. I went through the msdn documentation. I am not able to get a clear picture. I am expecting some command with example where I can pass the server name, Credentials and sourcepath and Destination path. Basically I want to pull the get latest to a local path which will be specified in the command line utility. Hope so I am clear.
'm trying to display some comments that users enter into a textbox that's bound to an Access database. After the data is entered/edited it's displayed with a label field. Is there an easy way (any way really, since I can't do this now) to show the line breaks that the users have entered?
I am using a textbox to populate mySQL database. My problem is when I recall the text it displays without line brakes or line spacing, inserted in the input textbox. I have tried all the field types i.e. Text, Small, Medium Text and Chars. I have tried gridview, repeater and datalist all displaying continuous text without line brakes.

I insert a text box, change the parameters to multi line and then pass the string to sql. Users insert comments etc, using line breaks, however because I just pass this as a string the line breaks are not there when they view the text box after input. Example: Here is a well formatted comment. as I typed in the text box today. Inserted in to sql as a string, returns this on select:
Here is a well formatted comment.as I typed in the text boxtoday. How do I insert the line breaks in the string from a textbox?

I have Template fields configured for Gridview. The gridview is using an objectdatabsource to bind itself. I have the gridview configured to use Templatefields which then contain tables to display the information. This works fine.
My question is, is it possible to change the text of the label if certain criteria is reached. If "NumberOfDwellings" is 1 then change the label to read, "1 Dwelling". Where-as if NumberOfDwellings has more than one then it's "3 Dwellings".
I want to populate a label from a database and have the image float to the right of the label. I want the label to wrap around the image but float:right for the image does float it to the right but underneath the label.
I have been messing about with this for hours surely this should be an easy task ....... I have a stored procedured that creates a invoice on a Quotetable one of the parameters is a output parameter Invoice Number this is passed to a label. (Label1) This works great.
I then need to add items to the invoice on a item table so my next stored procedure should take the value of Label1 and update the foreign key quotenumber on the itemtable with the value from label1.
On the aspx page I have a small section for a gridview which shows the current quote with however many items on it using the control
On the ASP page the control for @Quotenumber = Label1 but I get the following error
'Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value 'Label' to data type int.'
Is it possible to display or hide a label based on the text rendered in it?
I have a label that will display the value of a control on the previous page. If the value rendered is "0" then I want to hide the label or hide the label and one more label associated with it. (or if the value is more than "0" make it visible.
ave never used ajax.... I'm currently putting together a little web app that basically calls a program on the server itself (a command line tool) and displays the output to the web page. When the command line tool is run from the command line, it outputs status messages as it does it's thing... as it is now, my page just displays all the output when it's done. What I would like to do is show each line of output on the web page as they happen, just like when run from the command line. I'm guessing ajax is what I need... can anyone point me in the right direction for this specific scenario (user clicks button, output streams to web page as it happens without full page post backs)... a good example would be how ping.exe displays it's output on the command line
