I have been trying code-behind like this:

There does not seem to be an enumeration for line-height though.
The characters that are entered in the text box will be displayed in the label at the button click event. Label is having fixed width for ex,200px but the height is not set for the label. By changing the characters in the text box,and firing the button click event the label will get populated with the text from the text box. At that time label width will be constant but height will change dynamically according to the no of characters entered in the textbox. Here I need to get the label height in pixels on the button click event?

View 3 RepliesWorking on a new site design in asp.net with master pages. Header of the page is a 35px tall "menu bar" which contains an asp menu control rendered as an unordered list.
The selected menu item is styled with a differenct colored background and 2px border around the left top and right sides. The bottom of the selected menu item should line up with the bottom of the menu bar so the selected "tab" looks as if it flows into the content beneath. Looks fine in firefox and IE but in chrome the "tab" seems to be 1 pixel higher than the bottom of the menu bar.

The selected classes are added to the li and a elements via jquery...Here is a screenshot of the problem...The chrome example is on the top and u can see 1px of red border below the tab. On the bottom is the firefox image where everything looks OK.
EDIT:After playing around with this a bit more, I have discovered that it is actually the "header" div itself that is growing by 1px in chrome... This seems very strange to me.
How would I change the height of a label in runtime?
I want to change it from 23px to 56px to display one error message and the rest of the time have it set to 23px.
I believe it has to do with the pixels that cant be converted in this way?
I am checking if the the labels height is bigger than the panels height.
If that is the case, I am trying to set the panels height == labels height.

I have a problem with setting field height. The thing is, I have report section like this :
PO or SH is name of group and on the right, there are properties for group ("H", "101", "--" .. etc.).
As you might see that property label height and group label heights are not the same and it looks bad. What I want to do is : to set group label's height and property's height as the same. I am using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2008.
I get the data from the database and display that data on the label. I have to apply new line on the text of the label for every 35 charecters. Because after 35 charecters the text overflows.

The problem is that, depending on the width of the screen, the labels (e.g. "Postcode") do not always appear on the same line as the text box/dropdown they refer to. Is there a way of ensuring that, when it needs to "flow" an element down to the next line, it flows the label and the input control together?

The textbox aligns to the right, but the label aligns to the left and on the line above. How can I fix this so that the label is on the left, the textbox on the right, and both on the same line?
I've made a pag with a content div that has min-height set to 1200 pixels, and a black bacgkround color..
When I add a bunch of lines in the .aspx page (in html) , it works perfectly, it changes the black background height to the required height if it was more than 1200 pixels.
But, if I put a PlaceHolder in side the content div, and add a bunch of lines
dynamically to the PlaceHolder, it doesn't work, the page shows the content with background of 1200 pixels of height, and at the bottom of it no more content background, but continues showing the rest of the lines
outside of the content div..

For some reason when i add a bulleted list after a label it moves it onto the next line, is there anything I can do about this? Dropdown lists don't do the same thing - I want it to be;

Also I am using a bulleted list to show a particular field in a database where the line is selected in a previous dropdown - is this the best way of doing it?
Ie select New York in the drop down, the bulleted list then displays the address field from the same line in the DB

I am adding linkbutton dynamically (actually above snippet tells what I am actually doing, in reality TableRow and TableCell are added dynamiccally). My problem is, I am not setting height of linkbuttuon which will added dynamically. I have no idea what text I have to add to linkbutton.
What I want, after all the link buttons are added, iterate through each added lin button, get the height of each linkbutton, store the max height, then re-iterate throgh the link buttons and set the height of each link button to max height.
