C# - Array, Dictionary Or List In A Session?

What would be the most efficient way of storing a set of values in a session? I'm guessing it's either a List/Array or Dictionary. Basically, when a user selects an item from a DropDownList, a value (between 1 and N where N <= 20) is sent back to the server. I'd then like this value to be used as an index (if using arrays) or key (if using a dictionary) within the session. I don't want the value to be seen by the user, hence why it's not stored in the DDL. From what I gather, dictionaries are designed for key-lookups. However, since the scale is quite small, are there any overheads of using a dictionary that could make it less efficient in this case? Each corresponding value is unique to the user, so I've decided to use sessions.

Let's say I have a dictionary that I want to store in the session. This dictionary will be storing a list of object with a date as the key.

How do I put a list MyList in the dictionary with the key 31/1/2011 and how do I retrieve the list for 1/19/2011 from the dictionary?

How do you create a dictionary of objects in the session? More specifically, I have a list of objects: MyList stores MyObject as the result of a linq query with the date as a parameter.
List<MyObject> Mylist;
MyList = GetObjects(TheDate);
Now I'd like to store MyList in the session object in a dictionary with the date as the key. When the page needs a MyList for a specific date, first search the dictionary and if it's blank for that date, get the data from the GetObjects query and store the result in the dictionary in the session.

I am using C#. I have got below format values in my SESSION variable ["FROMDATA"], I am using DICTIONARY to store the FORM Posted Data. see the related question.
Below are the some values in my SESSION Variable.
1) key - "skywardsNumber" value-"99999039t"
2) key - "password" value-"a2222222"

Now I want to create a CLASS with METHOD in it, in which I will just pass the "KEY" and it will first check it for NULL OR EMPTY and then it will return its value from the SESSION Variable ["FROMDATA"].

How do you declare a dictionary called MyDic in the master page?
I want MyDic to hold lists of objects MyObj with a date as the key so that I can write something like this: "get the list for date 1/28/2011 from MyDic" or "put this list of MyObj from 1/28/2011 in MyDic".
I'd like to declare the dictionary in the master page so that I can access it in every page.

I'm binding a Dictionary to a drop down list.
Say for example I have the following items in dictionary:
{"Test1", 123}, {"Test2", 321}
I'd like the drop down text to take the following format:
Test1 - Count: 123
Test2 - Count: 321
I was going along the following path with no luck:

I have a asp.net mvc view which is strongly typed view and i have a controller which returnsthe ilist user based on the id provided. I am getting the following above error:
The model item passed into the dictionary is of type 'System.Collections.Generic.List`1[Data.User]', but this dictionary requires a model item of type 'Data.User'.

In the project I'm working on I have got a list List<Item> with objects that Is saved in a session. Session.Add("SessionName", List);
In the Controller I build a viewModel with the data from this session

and in my View I loop trough the list of Items and make a form for all of them to be able to remove the item.

When the post from the submit button is handeld the item is removed from the array and post back exactly the same viewModel (with 1 item less in the itemList).
return View("view.ascx", viewModel);
When the post is handled and the view has reloaded the value's of the html.Hidden and Html.Textbox are the value's of the removed item. The value of the html.Encode is the correct value. When i reload the page the correct values are in the fields. Both times i build the viewModel the exact same way.

I'm trying to add form data from an asp.net wizard into a session array object. The object should store the question number and question answer selected by the user for each question. I'm trying to use a multidimensional array to store the question number and the associated answer. I would also be open to using a hashtable or dictionary solution.This is the code I've got so far:

im having some problems with jagged arrays stored in session for ASP.net i have some code which creates a jagged array, them populates, and then stores this populated jagged array into session

Session.Add("answersJArray", answersJArray);
how would i loop through each jagged array in the session ?? if they were not in session i no i could do the following

When I am tryng to pass the gridview cell values to an array everything is perfect but the array is empty after executing the code. When I see through debug mode the index of selected row also is fine, i.e. when I select two rows using checkbox among 1000 the count shows exactly 2 in the array but the data is empty. I'm not able to get the cell value from the gridview.

In the web servce I say

Then I generate the proxy when I add the service.. and in the reference.cd it say

How would I create a list then on click add data to the list which is then stored into a session variable, then on another page retrieve the variable and output them? Currently I have:
Page Load:

OnClick:
listName.add(3);
listName.add(4);
Session["IDs"]=listName;

I need to get the whole list and add output the list so I can output (hopefully) the '3' and '4'.
