C# - ListView: Deleting A Row By It's Owner When A Button Is Clicked?

I have a ListView that displays comments for an article.Each comments has a button that, when clicked, deletes that comment provided that the logged person is the comment's owner or an administrator.
I need a way of storing comment's ID in the ListView somehow and then I need to check if the ID of the comment's author is the same as the ID of the logged user (which is stored in the Session) and then, if they match, display the button that deletes the comment when clicked.

I have created a ListView with a SQL DataSource. It has Item Template, Alternate Item Template, Insert Item Template, Layout Template, Edit Item Template & Select Item Template. There are delete buttons in the Item Template, Alternate Item Template and Select Item Template. The Delete command is
DeleteCommand="DELETE FROM [ClientNoteType_Lookup] WHERE [ClientNoteTypeCode] = @ClientNoteTypeCode"
which seems correct. I have not selected Use Optimistic Consurrency when I configured the data source. When I click on the Delete button, it deletes the selected record and the record after. THe ClienNoteTypeCode is a varchar(4) field and all codes are unique. It deletes both records in SQL Server when the button is clicked, but one one is deleted on the web page until I refresh the page and then both are deleted.

Obviously I am a total noob and this is simple to some of you, but I can not figure out why the rest of the sub works, but the button1.Text="Uploading, Please Wait..." seems to be completely ignored.

I am trying to populate the ListView using LinqDataSource data source but the issue I am having is.I need to load the listview on Search button click action.

I have two buttons on a messaging form. A "To" (who's going to get the message) and "Cc" (who's going to get a copy). The user choose the names from a listbox that popup when the "To" button is clicked. When the user click the "Ok" button the name is moved to the "To" label.If the user now wishes to CC someone how do I get the "ok" button to know I've click the "CC" and not the "To" and to put the name on the "CC" label?I tried switch statement but was not working

I have a repeater which binds a set of data. Within this repeater is a column with various controls for updating, deleting, etc. These are image buttons which fire an onclick event such as "DeleteRecord". All this does is fire a stored procedure, passing in the ID of the record to delete from the CommandArgument of the object.
This works wonderfully... except for one rather huge problem. Once you delete a record, if you refresh the page, the record where the first deleted record used to be gets deleted. For instance... if I have 4 records
1 Record1
2 Record2
3 Record3
4 Record4
and I delete record 2... The page reloads with (which is fine):
1 Record1
3 Record3
4 Record4
...if I then hit refresh...
1 Record1
4 Record4
I assume this is because the erroneously deleted object (record3) is now in the same hierarchical place as the old object used to be and .net therefore doesn't know the difference, the page refreshes and fires the onlick event, grabbing out the command argument of the new object and deletes based on the ID as obtained from the commandargument of the new object. This is obviously a huge problem, if a client did this it would destroy data erroneously and I'm at a loss here. Is there any way to stop this from happening? I'm not sure if there is a better way to go about doing things or not. If there isn't, I need some sort of way to tell the page not to execute the event or to cross reference the ID of the object that is intended for deletion against the object itself...

EDIT Wrapped a LinkButton around it because I have some jquery code in here as well which stops the page execution to wait for user confirmation. Pressing "ok" continues page execution.

i have a asp.net web page in which i have few button controls i have published the web pages & published it in 2 different servers in one of the servers its working fine , but on the otehr one the button controls on the web pages , i am not able to click it, no event gets fired on click not able to trace the cause as on bothe the systems the files(pages/code are same)

I have a url whose query strings are concatenated based on selected items on a form, I need to do a post to this url, but an imagebutton control has to be clicked for the post to occur. I put the PostBackUrl property of the imagebutton inside the event of the image button, hence causing it to be clicked twice before eventually posting the url... but i really need to click once but this aint working. I know why its clicking twice, tried calling the url with javascript but it wasnt working.

I'm displaying a bunch of items in a ListView. Each item has a button that the user can click if he/she is not interested in the item. What I want to do is this: if the user clicks the button, I want to remove that item from the list but I don't want to necessarily make a datadabase trip for each and every item the user clicks. I'd rather make one DB trip and take care of all the items user has clicked. However, as the user clicks them, I'd like to remove them from the ListView.

A user sees a page with a button. When he clicks the button a paragraph of text shows up above the button. With each click, another paragraph of the same text shows up.
