Jul 29, 2010I have a Silverlight site hosted in an asp page, it has been developed using vs2010 using .net 3.5 framework and silverlight 4. It all works on my dev box. However when I publish the site and get it deployed I get the error:
Could not load file or assembly 'Moe.Tactical.Ttas.Web' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'Moe.Tactical.Ttas.Web' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded.
I have checked that the ISS asp setting are using 2.0.50727, and that all my references are using that runtime also.
I am not sure what to do to work out what the missing dependencies are at this point (I don't have access to the deployment box, I will have to go and sit with a system admin).

I know all i have to do to workaround this issue is to copy the files to the folder but I just can't found anyone having thoses files and based on this thread I tried to "explicitly install the Web Application Project support on my machine" BUT I don't have such an option from the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional Setup tool ...where can I found the content of the following folder : C:Program

Jul 28, 2010I just recently upgrade my asp.net web project from visual studio 2005 to visual studio 2010. The upgrade was successful with no problems however im missing some features with this project. The One Click Publish feature(which is greyed out) in the header area of Visual Studio 2010 and the Add Config Transforms feature which is no where to be seen when you right click on web.config. When i create a new web project straight from visual studio 2010, these options work fine.

Mar 9, 2010Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 locked up, and when I tried to restart it, it wouldn't load, so I did a devenv.exe /resetuserdata to get it going again. It reset everyhing in my options of the web app/ etc, and now some AJAX conrols don't work such as dragpanel. I assume that it is because something got reset that I haven't enabled again, but can't figure it out.

the project actually runs ok: BUT when I try to use the IDE designer tools to modify a SqlDataSource, or add another SqlDataSource, I get a message" this version is not supported. You must have Microsoft SQL server 2005 or later."
If I build the SqlDataSource manually, it works OK???
So, anyone have a idea why the IDE designers don't support SQL server 2000, since extended support for that version is still active?

Feb 27, 2010When I first open vs there is a screen with a blue background that is displayed. That screen has a very noticable flicker which is actually painful to my eyes. It is like my monitor is out of sync. I am running vista, screen resolution 1920 x 1200. I have two identical monitors, graphics card is ATI radeon 3800 series.I have no problems with any other application or game. I was hoping this would go away with the RC but it is still there.

Visual Studio :: CSS Support In 2008 Express Edition?
Mar 9, 2010I have several css style sheets I want to work with. I have copied them into the appropriate directory structure in my project. The styles are applied correctly.But the manage CSS styles tool bar on the left margin doesn't seem to work correctly. At one point I had generated a style sheet and worked with it there, but now it not only can't find the one it generated, but the attach style sheet link doesn't respond at all, nor does anything in this bar. Same deadness with the CSS Properties bar. With or without a style sheet loaded in the editor -- a style sheet that is active in the project such that when I run it, the styles are applied.VB version of studio, running on Vista home basic.PS, the design mode works a lot better than the professional version I use in my day job on XP and server 2003.
