I have two Textboxes. In one Textbox I used an ajax calendar to find the date of birth and in the second Textbox I want to generate the age dynamically before submitting the form. I am using asp.net and c#.
View 1 RepliesI've got two websites. One is a copy of the other, I even went ahead and remade a copy of the original a second time hoping it would alleviate the issue I'm having but it didn't.
On both pages I have a calendar so the route is

The issue is on the original site /Calendar works. It shows the Calendar page with the current month. On the copy site /Calendar gives a 404 but /Calendar/Index shows the Calendar page with the current month.
I am using Framework 2.0, ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 and Visual Studio 2005.I am using 2 Ajax Calendar Extender in my page. I am using a text box and html image control and setting the TargetControlID to the test box id and the PopupButtonID to the image control name. When i click the first image the calendar pops up and without choosing a date if i click the second image the second calendar control opens on top of the first calendar control. Is there any way i can make the previous one disappear without choosing a date leaving the calendar control associated with the last image clicked.

View 4 RepliesWhen a user selects an item from dropdownlist ,, certain dates (from DB) gets selected on Calendar automatically with the color pink >> This is working FINE The problem happens after that, when i want to select any other date >> the dates which were selected automatically before (that came from DB) get deselected !! I want them to stay selected, so i know which are the dates that already saved in DB ! So, the calendar is removing the programmed selected dates upon selecting a new date on the calendar object.

View 2 RepliesI currently have two calendar extenders on my ASP page and for some reason when they are clicked they do not pop up correctly, I have the TargetControlId set to the appropriate text boxes and the PopupButtonId set to the correct images as well. Is there something else that needs to be set so that this works correctly?

View 1 RepliesI am working on a tool to construct a diagram in asp.net .The user is allowed to select the images from panel [generated dynamically based on user input in dropdown box] and its copy should be created on the diagram area, it should be draggable and should over lay with each other . So far I am able to create the diagram objects dynamically and on click on each object its copy will be created on the diagram area [I am passing the instance from user control to main page] . I have used Drag Drop Extender to apply Drag behavior. Now my problem is which I create more objects the position of already created objects is not retained in the page. I have js code to retain the position for static controls, but don’t know how to apply for dynamic controls.

I have tried using PdfStamp but for some reason when I try to print the pdf from Chrome all I get is a black page. Also Adobe Reader only shows the original document. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it working? Here is the code.

i have not worked with XML in a while can someone post the syntax needed to build and save an xml node structure that resembles that of a tree structure that is created by a recursive function.
basically i have a recursive function that saves data found an a page(url) and then follows each URL found on that page recursivley and does the same to it. to audit this i want an output as a xml file to disk so i can see how it is doing its recursion and parsing.
the code i have is below. please add to it the needed xml calls needed to create a xml structure like the one i show below. (please include the full name space so i can see where the objects i need in .net are for this.)

I have some code that generates a zip file that contains multiple CSV files and streams it back to the user (no file is saved on the server). However, I want to create an excel workbook instead (can be traditional xls or Office Open XML xlsx format) with each CSV 'file' being a spreadsheet.
How can I do this, without resorting to Office Automation on the server or a commercial 3rd party component?
I have a site that gets deployed to over a dozen clients. The main website has a base template, and each client has a client folder that overrides the colours. The problem is that there are a lot of CSS files, so making a change that forces us to update every client takes a long time. The automated build process takes care of replacing the updated files.
I would like to change the CSS files to be usercontrols instead, and those usercontrols could then inherit from another usercontrol where client specific values are stored.
So instead of having a forms.css file and then a /client/forms.css file I would have a Forms.ascx file that inherits from a usercontrol that contains the colours.
Ex:

Then the masterpage would inherit from the usercontrol instead. This would make the maintenance of the client sites much easier.
If this is possible, would it also be possible to have the Forms.ascx control output the markup as CSS? Or make the extension .css and still have the ascx properties?

Use Crystal Reports 2008 and Crystal Reports 2008 for VS 2010
Use itextsharp to create the pdf file
Use XSLFO to create the pdf file
The point here is I dont know any of the above. Which one is easy and quick to learn and implement. Are there any other solution to achieve this functionality?
I'm new to c# programming..I'm using windows form application c# .netI have been given a .resources file. it contains 2 columns 1) key and 2) values.I have brought the contents of this file into a datagrid using dynamic table in between and using resource manager.Now i have to edit the value column in the datagrid and if i click on a GENERATE button i should create a new resource file and it has to be stored as a file.
