lv1 --> lv2 and inside lv2 i have button when i'll click buttion than insert template show but how can fine control lv2 ....? there is my code Lv1 is working but lv2 is creating problem..?
I have two listviews. The inner listview (InnerListView1) is in the SelecttItemTemplate of the outer listview (OuterListView1). Both listviews are bind in the code behind. The outer listview displays correctly in the ItemTemplate. Neither Listview Listview displays in the SelectItemTemplate. Both should display when I click the Select button. I just get a postback (flicker). The display should include the selected record of the outer listview and the inner listview.
I have a list box in a list view control. I want to access the value of the listbox. I have fixed the height of the list box and the box has scroll bars. If i change the number using the scrollbar and then click on the number (turning it blue) everthing works fine. If I simply change the number using the scrollbar the system throws the error below. Can anyone tell me how to get this to work simply by using the scrollbar to select the number (without having to also click on the number itself) This is the error that is thrown

I have anested ListView control. I also implemented a jQuery to automatically expand the TextBox control inside of the nested ListView Insert Template. The problem is, when the Textbox expand, the outer ListView control is not; therefore, the Textbox control expands underneath the buttons of the outer listView control. How do I expand the outer ListView control as the nested ListView textbox is automatically expand? One great example is in Facebook where if I add a response comment, it'll automatically push any comments below mine down. If nested Listview control is not the best way to do this, what are my options?
I am having trouble finding how to solve the following issue :
I am using nested listviews to display Sales and Sales details.
The main ListView displays General Information about Sales and the child ListView displays the detailed information about one sale. the child listview is shown only when the user clicks on a link (see included code, DataBind is made on PageLoad) :
ASPX Markup Code :
C# Behind Code :
If I removed the datapager part, I can manage show/hide the child list view on the button click event. but if I want to use the DataPager with the PreRender event handling, the child listview is not longer shown on button click.
The form allows a user to create and edit one estimate.
Each estimate can contain multiple Jobs, which are represented in a ListView.
Each Job can contain multiple Parts, which are contained in a ListView that sits in each item of the Jobs ListView.
A user can add and remove as many Jobs as they want.
A user can add and remove as many Parts to/from each Job as they want.
I have no issues adding to each of these, but I do have a problem removing a single part from a single job.
For a reference, here is one Job in the Jobs ListView on the form:
I want to make sure that no matter what a user does, the part of the form they are working on saves what they have. Removing a row from that Parts ListView is no exception. What I want it to do is save the values in each of those textboxes and then delete the necessary row.
Here's what I have in the codebehind:
The EstimateRow variable I create does not get a value from theListView)HFERID.Parent.FindControl("LVEstimateRow") bit of code. There must be another level of nesting that I'm not accessing correctly, because it can't seem to find that nested ListView.
The following code listed on the bottom is a dropdown extender contained with a listview insert template. The code works fine however int VS 2008 Debug mode, its throwing the exception:Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Handler was not added through the Sys.UI.DomEvent.addHandler method. If I click ignore or continue, the taret label is properly populated with the appropriate value. Has anybody encountered this and is
i have a drop down list and a text box, inside a listview row (and this is a repeating layout). i populate each dropdownlist with same contents ( these contents/items come from a custom collection object).
i have added a required field validator in the listview's item template, that has its validation group = the validation group of the drop down list, and validates if the textbox is blank or not. this validation takes place on the selected index changed of the drop downlist for that row.
1. on selected index changed, EACH dropdownlist validates only its corressponding textbox perfectly (which is what i want)
but if i enter some text in one of the textboxes after doing 1, the dropdownlist for THAT particular row, assigns the correct value to the text entered. but for other rows (for which i changed their corresponding ddls to test the required field validation and for which the text boxes are still blank), their ddls by itself assign the values to the blank text without validating.
markup of code for listview is [Code]....
code behind for the ddl selected index changed is [Code]....
method GetIndexFromId retrieves index of the custom object inside a collection depending on the Id (which is a property) of the object.
i notice that the ddl selectedindexchanged is being hit as many number of times as many rows i change (i.e as many ddls in different rows i change to check the required field validation)
I try to datbind a listview which is inside another listview InsertItemTemplate.
I'm binding the listivew in the parent listview onitemcreated events. I receive the error Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can only be used in the context of a databound control.
I have a grid view with a nested text box in it.I would like to turn view state off but the fact of the matter is when data is posted, the text boxes inside the gridview aren't available (there are no rows in the gridview on postback). Control's information is not stored in the View State (for things like selected value and .text etc.):Control state, introduced in ASP.NET version 2.0, is similar to view state but functionally independent of view state. However, control state cannot be disabled. Control state is designed for storing a control's essential data (such as a pager control's page number) that must be available on postback to enable the control to function even when view state has been disabled. I have a ListView1 control that his <ItemTempleae> has a another ListView2. ListView2 is surrounded by <UpdatePanel> with trigger and also UpdateMode="Conditional". But, I don't know why ListView2 is not being update as it should, I need to refresh all the page to see the new data enter to ListView2 only. What is the problem? How can it be fixed? I think that the problem is something in the structure. There are about 10 ListView2 with updatepanel surronded them, so when I am looking to update a specific ListView2, it doesn't know which one to update because there are lots of them. What to do in order to solve that problem?
I have triple-nested ListView controls on my asp.net page, each nested within another. I use the OnItemDataBound event in the 1st ListView to set the DataSource of the 2nd level ListView. The 3rd ListView is contained in the of the 2nd ListView. I want to assign the same DataSource to both the 2nd and 3rd level ListView datasource controls, but I cannot figure out how to access the 3rd level ListView in order to do that.
The level1_ItemDataBound method finds the level2 control, casts it as a ListView, sets its DataSource and executes the DataBind. At this point I'm stuck trying to get Level3.DataSource to be set to the same as Level2.DataSource.
I am using list view to display the the data but i am getting an error like An item placeholder must be specified on ListView 'ListView1'. Specify an item placeholder by setting a control's ID property to "itemPlaceholder". The item placeholder control must also specify runat="server.Even i have specified the itemplaceholder id but no use still same error.
When the FormView is in Edit mode, ddlCategory is populated as expected by calling GetCategories(), which returns a List of categories. However, when the ListView is in Insert mode, ddlCountry is empty. I put a break point in GetCountries(), but it never gets called. If I change the name of the method, I get an error. So it recognizes the method at compile time, but does not call it at run time. I'm guessing this is an embedded binding issue of some kind, but I'm hoping someone can save me a lot of time by pointing out the solution.
I am loading the autocomplete extender properly but I need the PK from the selectedValue. I have looked at other examples and they do NOT show how to drill into the tabcontainer, then drill into the listview, and then locate the extender value. Here is what I have so far. My "TABCONTAINER" value shows the extender correctly but I am unable to locate it.
