I have an MVC user control that displays radio buttons in my MVC app. The issue is that how do I get it to display unique q group name for each control. I need to somehow pass it a parameter to that the name is not set as the same as every other group of radio buttons that I have used the control for on the page.If this were not MVC I would know how to do this straight away.
<%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl" %>
I would like to use the asp.net membership and role management. However, all I found is fixed role control on the page level. Is there a way to let customer (administrator) to create their own roles, and assign the permission (edit, add, or view) to them, and then, use the permission to control te display (for example: edit button visible or not)?

UpdatePanel1 contains a gridview1 and a standard panel, pnlForms. gridview1 has a linkbutton which is processed in the gridview1_rowcommand
UpdatePanel2 has gridview2.
There is also a Submit button that isn't in either UpdatePanel but may be a candidate to go into its own UpdatePanel. The Submit button is a trigger for both update panels
The behavior I would like is:
1-Initially, all visible except pnlForms and Submit button 2- When linkbutton in UpdatePanel1 gridview1 is clicked, pnlForms and Submit button become visible. 3. When Submit button is clicked, both gridviews should be refreshed, and PnlForms and the Submit button should both become not visible. I believe I may have to put the Submit button in its own UpdatePanel3 but am not sure how to proceed.
In my present code, everything works as desired except Submit button (not presently in any Update panel) is always visible. Assuming Submit button is initialized to not visible, how do I get it to appear when I click the link button in gridview1 and to disappear when it is clicked?
I have written a user control that captures some user input and has a Save button to save it to the DB. I use a repeater to render a number of these controls on the page - imagine a list of multiple choice questions with a Save button by each question.
I am loading the user control inside the repeater's ItemDataBound event like this (code simplified):
[code]....
The problem is that when the Save button is clicked, the page posts back, but lbnUpdate_Click is not called. The Page_Load event of the page itself is called however.
I should mention that the repeater is part of a user control, and that user control is loaded inside another user control (this is a DotNetNuke site which makes heavy use of user controls). The Save button link looks like this:

I am asked to popup the calendar with two months. When a user selects a date, it popups in a textbox. The botton I have now may trigger only one calendar, not two. I saw someone asked the same question, but it didn't get solved. I know that I may code myself with two asp:calendar controls and divs, and play show/hide, but that's more work.

I have a ListView in which I have to hide certain LayoutTemplate elements when an Edit button is clicked. Naturally, the display goes from the ItemTemplate into the EdititemTemplate, which is accomplished in the following code. However, a problem arises when the EditItemTemplate is updated then displays the ItemTemplate: the elements from the LayoutTemplate which are initially hidden fail to re-display when the ItemTemplate is activated again.
