Existed MyControl1.Controls.OfType<RadioButton>() searches only thru initial collection and do not enters to children.
Is it possible to find all child controls of specific type using Enumerable.OfType<T>() or LINQ without writing own recursive method? Like this.

I have a gridview with a nested placeholder in each rows. I nested some checkboxes in each placeholders in each rows dynamically, so their ServerIDs are not the same (I dont want to use nested gridview). at the end in a button event I want to count checked checkboxes in gridview while I can not use findcontrol() method in each rows to find checkboxes due to their different ServerIDs.

I'm getting this message when going to a web app that accesses my service.
"The content type text/html of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (text/xml; charset=utf-8)..."
The thing is, it happens once in a while even when no changes have been made to the service or the web app. And I can make it go away most of the time by going directly to the .svc?wsdl page in my browser and then coming back to the web app.

I'm receiving the following error when deploying a feature containing ASP.NET pages to our development SharePoint servers: System.InvalidOperationException: The type specified in the TypeName property of ObjectDataSource 'odsYears' could not be found. Our .dll is being deployed to the GAC and our pages are being deployed to the the respective Features directory in the 12 hive. We are not receiving this error on our Sandbox SharePoint server. I disassembled the .dll to be sure the class was being deployed and everything looked ok. why this would not work on one of our SharePoint environments?

do you think it would be difficult to write a framework where mvc compares last html it output to the current html we want to output, and instead of sending the entire html, figure out what has changed and generate js code that will do the updating as compared to previous html? (presuming nothing was manually changed on the client using js).

i am using the multiview control inside a page and i am trying to find a control using the javascript function document.getElementById. My Problem is that the function returns null cause it cannot find the control. When i open the code of the page from the browser the active view is not rendered so I think thats the reason why I am getting a null value from the function.
On the HTML code is rendered only the first view or the view that is activated on page load.
Is there any way to find a control inside the view using javascript? or I am doing something wrong?

I think I need to drop in some escape characters, but I'm not quite sure where. Here is the javascript function I'm attempting to call:
function setData(associateValue, reviewDateValue) {
var associate = document.getElementById("Associate");
var reviewDate = document.getElementById("ReviewDate");
associate.value = associateValue;
reviewDate.value = reviewDateValue;
}
Here is the asp .net mvc line where I'm attempting to create a Radio button with a click event that calls the above function and passes data from the model as javascript parameter values.
<%= Html.RadioButton("Selected", item.Selected, new { onClick="setData('<%=item.Associate%>','<%=item.ReviewDate%>' )" } )%>
The above throws a bunch of compile issues and doesn't work. A call such as the following does call the javascript, but doesn't get the data from the model.
<%= Html.RadioButton("Selected", item.Selected, new { onClick="setData('item.Associate','item.ReviewDate' )" } )%>
<%= Html.RadioButton("Selected", item.Selected, new { onClick="setData('item.Associate','item.ReviewDate' )" } )%>
<% String functionCall = String.Format("setData('{0}','{1}')", Html.Encode(item.Associate), Html.Encode(item.ReviewDate )) ; %>
<%= Html.RadioButton("Selected", item.Selected, new { onClick=functionCall } )%>

When i loading modules from different places i injected them to controller factory, but when it is trying to load strongly typed views it can't find model type that is contained in module assembly.I made new ViewEngine and now it looks in right places but it cant load strongly typed views.
So as i understand i need to show the view where to find class model. If you have any other ideas please tel me. And one more i need this problem to be solved for WebFormViewEngine and RazorViewEngine.

Im using the HTML.TreeView to render my code structure like this :
<%= Html.TreeView("CategoryTree",
Model.CategoryList,
l => l.ChildList,
l => l.Name + " / <a id="treeLnk" + l.Id + "" href="JavaScript: OpenAddDialog('" + l.Name + "', " + l.Id + ") " title="Lägg till" >Lägg till</a>" +
" / <a id="treeLnk" + l.Id + "" href="JavaScript: OpenChangeNameDialog('" + l.Name + "', " + l.Id + ") " title="Ändra namn" >Ändra namn</a>" +
" / <a id="treeLnk" + l.Id + "" href="JavaScript: OpenDeleteDialog('" + l.Name + "', " + l.Id + ") " title="Tabort" >Tabort</a>") %>
This work fine, but now I need to include a action that redirects to another controlleraction.
I have tried to ad a Html.ActionLink but this does not work?

I have a webpage with a select object and a GridView object. For testing my problem i've created asp button and html button.On pageLoad the GV is empty and select is being filled with names. (GV is not appearing)After choosing a name from the select options, the user should click a button and then the GV need to be filled with relevant info.I am having 2 "related" problems:
1. When clicking on the asp button and getting into the click function on the aspx.cs file, i can't find the select object and retrieve the selected option. How can i get this?
2. When clicking on the html button and getting into the button_click function on the aspx file (javascript), i can't find the GV object (getElementByID("GridView1") returns null). I guess that it's because the GV is not loaded initialy since it's empty.I've tried also using callback methods, but the although it seems like i am reaching the GV and performing DataBind(), the GV table won't show on the page.

I add a select control to a ASPX page like below:
hgc = new HtmlGenericControl();
hgc.InnerHtml = @"<select runat='server' id='my_selectlist'>
<option value='volvo'>Volvo</option>
<option value='saab'>Saab</option>
<option value='mercedes'>Mercedes</option>
<option value='audi'>Audi</option>
</select>";
Then in a Button click event, I use the code below, try to get the value selected
HtmlSelect s = (HtmlSelect)hgc.FindControl("my_selectlist");
label.Text = s.Value;
I get a error:"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."Does anyone try it before?

I have a page with a table and two button with the names (Submit and Add Rows) When I click on Add Row a new row will be added to a page(This is achieved using javascript), when I click on submit button I will be doing server side validation. If I found any error the error will be displayed on the page. During this process the controls which were added by me were loosing its state. As a result I need to add the rows once again and need to fill the data and click on submit button. Can any one let me know how to avoid this and see that the controls donot loose their states. So that there is no need for me to create rows once again if any validation fails on the server side.
