Finding App To Create An Image From First Page Of PDF?

recommend an app that will create an image for any given pdf. This is for a website, the site already has thousands of pdfs stored. I only wish to create the image of the pdf as and when I need it.
For example a webpage will check a list of ten pdf's, if no image available then create one. So I am not interested in a tool that converts pdfs by file location, I want to be able to call it when needed to create the image. Ideaaly i would like to have some control over quality and size of the image created.

I created a HTMLExtension method for a DatePicker. I reference it from the view as follows (see bolded text for image location):

Everything works when run on the development server but when run with IIS, the image is not found. Generally I would use "Url.Content" to fix these problems but I can't place that in the Javascript.

I am trying to figure out how to use/create a custom control in ASP.NET MVC 2.
I created a custom control earlier and compiled it (ccontrol.dll), the control renders a div, textbox and a button + some javascript in order to post a comment on the website. It could be a static aspx page that i wanted to allow my visitors to add a comment to. I would then drag my control from the toolbar to the aspx page and run it, it would then render all the code needed on the webpage including fetching the data from a datasource and displaying that inside the div. The user could also just type in a comment and press the button to save it to the datasource.
Is this possible to convert to MVC 2? Any good tutorial that covers custom controls and MVC 2? (Ideally would be if the control could be made into a .dll file that i then could reuse on future webpages)
How do i write a custom control the mvc way? Any good tutorials on the topic?

I'm an ASP.NET newbie, but not so new at programming in general.
I'm creating a commercial website, and I want to allow an admin to add new articles (an article consists of text, images and various properties such as category).
I am trying to decide the optimal Modus Operandi. This site is commercial, so SEO is a major consideration. This means that I want each url to be "unique". That is, if someone navigates to an article about raccoons, he should be redirected to [URL]. This means - I can't have one page that loads the appropriate article dynamically a-la AJAX (gotta use deep-linking)
So how exactly do I do this? suppose the admin entered his text, uploaded the images and set the article properties. I create a new subfolder, save the images to the server (I understand that saving images to a DB is a big no-no), their addresses in a DB, and the content itself to the DB. But now what?
How do I go about creating the actual page?
Is there a function for creating a new aspx file? then what about its corresponding cs file? Or is it unwise to use aspx? Maybe plain html? but then how does it work with my site's master page? Or maybe just create another copy of a general aspx file which is populated with an article according to a parameter?

I have to find a Control(a Table) in an aspx page with master page :
the Master page have this :

and int the child page :
<asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="HeadContent" Runat="Server">

I need my system IP address. I've used Request.ServerVariables["remote_addr"] but it is being provided IP address of my network(intranet) not my local system ip.

Im using the jquery ticker plugin and Ive created a user control to populate it dynamically from a database. To activate it in javascript I have to get the id of the control and because asp.net renders controls prefixed with its own identifier, the javascript has to be like this

How can I use jquery to get what im after just from its name, in this instance 'ULnews' without the 'ctl00_MainArea_ucTicker1_' bit. If I move the control, obviously its generated name will change and my code will break

So it is time to use some pages i have to a master page.I have limited usage with master pages so i will write some concerns here so i could get some answers cuz i don't want to start breaking stuff on xmas days.
Of course i will give it a go on my own but it will be good to know what problems must be aware of before i start.If someone knows of them.
So i have a concern about page transfer.
I do a post and on the page to go to i use "<%@ Reference Page="~/thepage.aspx" %>"
Will this go on the master page or on the page to be transferred to?
Also i had an issue with the below command:

Apparently asp is quite funny sometimes and it has blued out the code saying, eerrr, can quite remember but something like the page cannot be found or something.Haha.Very funny.I copy pasted all the code to a new page, deleted the old one and renamed and it worked.So if this happens if i embed the page to a master page, will the copy paste technique will work again or i need to modify the master page also?
Another concern is about the daypilot calendar(Gary? ) it's a heavy ajaxed page using panels,:UpdatePanels,ajax,javascript,server manipulation,SqlDataSources etc. I don't expect most of you to know this but will there be a problem by putting the daypilot design interface inside a master page.This page is so complex that i prefer not to use it inside a master page if i suspect that something is wrong.
Paypal concern.I have read somewhere that you cannot use 2 form tags and master page will give errors.However my approach is using a StringBuilder and doing AppendFormat to finally create an iconic form.So has anyone tried this to a master page?Will it work.

I have a custom listbox control intern it has "hidden input server control".and i want assign values to that hidden control.That custom control is in table which runs at server.When i try to find hidden control using Page.Findcontrol and <tblserver>.findcontrol it is returing with null.Can you please help on this.

I have the following method in a class withing a website.

Now this works fine but I really want to just have the one parameter of role and not require the page to pass itself into the method. Is there a way of finding the object that called the method and casting it to a System.Web.UI.Page?
