I want to do a job portal where thousands of jobseekers will upload their resumes. If the employer comes and search for any keyword, say "3 year experienced java professional". It should fetch the resumes of all the job seekers who match the above creteria.
Technically it should search thousands of word documents(resumes) uploaded by the job seekers for the employer given key word and fetch all those records..I googled but didn't get any proper link.
Is there any opensource control or source code through which I can automatically parse a resume into seperate fields (Input format can be word/PDF). This feature is similar to 'LinkedIn' import resume.
I am developing application in which i wan to upload large file to ftp server,if connection is failed during the upload process ,next time it will start frin the broken point.
what I'm looking to do is to get a web site search function where I can enter the URLs and body text myself rather than running a spider unless the spider can handle my url querystring structure. Obviously, something automatic would be best but I'm not too choosy as long as it is free.
We are rewriting a CGI Perl website to .NET and need to have site search capability. In the former site, we use the open source "Perlfect". Does anyone know if there is something similar for .NET or could make any recommendations?
I'd like to add a search feature in my page (addviolation.aspx) just like in windows GUI. I have a search link in my page and if click on that link a new small browser (memberlist) will appear in front of the page (addviolation.aspx) that contains list of members. If I select on one of the member on the list, then it will appear on my first page (addviolation.aspx).

'Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Express with Advanced Services' from here: [URL] but when I run the installer and choose add new features to existing instance of sql server I get no full text search feature option in the list, There are only a few options that are selected and greyed out (because they are installed previously) in the list of available features. Why I don't have full text search feature in the list and how to find and install it? (mine is the 64bit version)

In ASP is there a searchbox control like asp:Search? Or are you having to create a textbox with a button and then executing the SQL query with the OnClick event handler.
I'm using this code to create a search bar that will search only on the website above. It works when I put it into a html file, but when I put it in the rightnav user control in the ASP.net application, it only refreshes the page.
I know that in a web site project VWD will cram all the files into 1 specified folder which holds all the peices of your site together in a nice little container.
However, in a web based application (rather than web site) you have a similar folder but it contains a solution file; people often say this has more advantages, but from my early days of learning what would those advantages be?

I see that I have to use debug.write and not response.write as I normally would. How can I see my debug.write statements?
