I have two grid view controls one is temporary and another is simple grid view control.in the simple grid view control it includes the edit button on its command name edit i want to edit this grid and also to show values in the temporary grid. How it can be possible?
using the latest bits for MVC 3 i'm looking at the code for a Controller (Northwind products), specifically my 'Edit'Action.
there are two methods, one for diplaying the item to edit, and one for posting back changes made on the UI.
My question is : how do i get a reference to the currently edited product. The method takes 2 arguments; the id of the product and a formcollection which is a dictionarly of product proerties by the looks of it. mvc 2 had slightly differentt arguments compared to mvc 3 beta.
Is there a way in .net to display the text automatically when i type the first letter or word in a text box? I am looking for something like MS-Excel.. In MS-Excel, if the first word is given, automatically it displays the remaining texts, only if values are given previously.
I have a datagrid include 10 columns,and the eighth column is the template column created by asp label .Now I would like to display long text string and wrap the text in this template column .I used the property " itemstyle-wrap=true" in my page ,but can not work .
I just wrote an application level err handler for my website. The errors are saved in sql server. Now I download the info back into a datagrid and on the selectedrow changed I put the stacktrace and other big fields in textboxes like so :

However the text is now formatted like this :
txtSearchClient = ""
instead of :
txtSearchClient = "";
I've confirmed that the text is in the right format in SQL server but I cna't find a way to deencode it.

My mission is to figure out how to hide a dropdown box, and I hope I will be able to receive some . I have a GridView where one of the colums has lots of text. Too much text to display because each rows then is almost half screensize each. Is there a way to just display the first words, and then have a function, perhaps mouse over to wiew the whole text? Tooltip maybe?

Now that I've added a master page to this things apparently have gotten more complicated. This won't fill the value for the textbox in the table cell that I want. I know the value still exists because if I do this

Has the value that I want to put into that text box. I know the text box gets created because it's there when the page refreshes. But I can't seem to find that text box so i can put a value in it.
I have a gridview that is being databound by an SQLdatasource and on RowDataBound i am doing a calculation and then setting
e.Row.cells(17).text = Result
However, when I go to sort it on the website it sorts it based off the previous values.Cell(17) from the datasource reads in all 1's. The numbers I change it to range from 0 to 15. So when I click sort nothing changes because it sees it as all 1's.How can i make the gridivew sort off the changed text values?
I am using VB and trying to get the first value of the cell of a gridview. The gridview is returning a header and 1 value.
