View 1 RepliesI want upload image in database and display image in slide show on website without gallery and button using gridview.
View 1 RepliesI wonder if it is possible to have a clickevent for the SlideShow control. In this case I am now showing 2 images.
Is it possible in any way have a clickevent or to handle a click on the images that is showing to open up a browser with a URL like www.google.com ?
I beleive the Click event then should be in the Image Control in somehow ?
[Code]....
I'm using the slideshow extender, however the images are not a standard size. The images are user supplied, and they are often displayed full size, so I can't standardize them. I need a way to resize them on the fly, and have them look good.
I've been working on this slide show off and on for some time. I've had many false starts, finding out after putting in quite a bit of time and work that there is just one thing or another that I cant't get to work. I'm hoping this ajax extender will be the answer. It won't be if I can't rezise the images.
what the extender can use as image sources? I know it can use an image on the hard drive, which is where my images are, but then I have the size problem. I tried using a webpage that uses a third party control to resizde the image, but that didn't work. I'm looking at this site: [URL] for resizing the images, can the output be used by the extender?
on another post i mentioned the problem but simplified it here! I am using ajax slideshow extender and getting images from my database
Datbase table file path example
/ ImageURL
/Members/matt//jeanette4.jpg
Code Behind
//here i open sql connection to database and retrieve images based on GUID of UserId which i add as sql parameter.//
// set the initial image
if (tblData.Rows.Count > 0)
{
imgShowImage.ImageUrl =tblData.Rows[0]["ImageUrl"].ToString();
imageLabel1.Text = tblData.Rows[0]["FirstName"].ToString();
}
}
}
[System.Web.Services.WebMethod]
[System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptMethod]
public static AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[] GetSlides()
{
AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[] slides = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide[tblData.Rows.Count];
for (int i = 0; i < tblData.Rows.Count; i++)
{
DataRow dr = tblData.Rows[i];
slides[i] = new AjaxControlToolkit.Slide(
dr["ImageUrl"].ToString(),
dr["FirstName"].ToString(),
dr["LastName"].ToString());
}
return slides;
}
ASPX
Page shows the image
<asp:Image ID="imgShowImage" runat="server"
Height="300px" ImageAlign="Middle" />
This all works fine/ but when i set up the web config with Intelligencia.UrlRewriter code the slideshow images do not appear but the page gets divirted correctly
<rewriter>
<rewrite url="~/Matt" to="~/MembersClub/PublicProfile.aspx?Id=a8742959-aa5e-4830-9fc1-94f1b3d0bc41"/>
</rewriter>
The images are stored in a file directory named "Members".

I want to slideshow images from database, four images at a time.The images should slide after 2 seconds and slides should scroll from right to left.During this left most image should disappear and all remaining images should move to left,covering leftmost image. At the place of rightmost image a new image from database should be picked up.

View 1 RepliesI was wondering if anyone knows a jQuery library that can suit my needs:
I want a slideshow of album covers which are retrieved dynamically from the database. I want to display 4 album covers at a time. I want there to be a next button so the the slideshow can continue. Here is what I cant find any librarys for. When I click the next button, I dont want to show another 4 different covers, i want it to move along by 1 album cover,
So say I had covers 1 , 2 , 3 , 4
When i click next i want to display 2 , 3 , 4 , 5.
Finally, I want the show to be able to repeat so at the end it starts at one again.
So say I only had 5 covers 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5
when I click next while showing 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 I want 3 , 4 , 5 , 1 displayed.
I've watched the Slideshow videos and created a number of examples that run fine. The code I've attached at the bottom is the smallest one, but instead of hard coding the image locations, I would like to select the slides from either of the following statements, which return the top 5 images selected randomly from our floorplans database.
<asp:AccessDataSource id="AccessDataSource1" runat="server" DataFile="../fpdb/J3_2005.mdb" SelectCommand="SELECT TOP 5 [Elev_Pimage] FROM [PLANS_Active] ORDER BY RND(INT(NOW*[SF_Total])-NOW*[SF_Total])" />
or,
<asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource1" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:J3_2005Slideshow %>" ProviderName="<%$ ConnectionStrings:J3_2005Slideshow.ProviderName %>" SelectCommand="SELECT TOP 5 [Elev_Pimage] FROM [PLANS_Active] ORDER
BY RND(INT(NOW*[SF_Total])-NOW*[SF_Total])" />
<title>SlideShow</title>
I have this slideshow extender that works perfectly with hard coded images in the page method. However as soon as I try to make the page method get its images from the database it stops working; no images are returned.
I have tried to declare the datatable that the pagemethod uses both inside the pagemethod and in the on_load event. When in the last case I test the datatable contents by hooking it up to a gridview, it shows that it does get its proper data.
Declaring this dataTable as a private static dataTable, outside the page_load, to make it accessible in the page method (like in this --- post http://forums.asp.net/p/1115257/1726736.aspx---) also does not work.
So the page method with hard coded images works and also the query to the database works!

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to port an ASP.NET MVC 1.0 / Visual Studio 2008 project to ASP.NET MVC RC 2 / Visual Studio 2010. The project is (and has always been) running on IIS 7.
Dynamic content (everything that's being delivered by controllers) works fine, but static content such as CSS / Javascript / Images gives me a "200 OK" response, a Content-Length of 0 and no content. It's as if all those files were entirely empty (I made sure the files are not empty though).
The static content is in a directory that I excluded from ASP.NET routing via IgnoreRoute.
It can't be a hidden 404 error since adding some garbage characters to the URL produces a reguar 404 error.
It doesn't seem to be related to filesystem permissions since I've already given everyone full access rights in the contents directory.
Edit: I just created a completely new ASP.NET MVC website from scratch and tried running that in IIS. It has exactly the same problem! So it's not really a problem of converting my project to MVC2 at all, it rather seems to be IIS that's causing the trouble. But what could possibly be the problem?
I have a project that needs to generate a random collection of images on an html page. Everything works fine until around the 50th image is generated and then I just get a red X.
Am I hitting some connection limit or server resource limit?
The code below exhibits the behavior on several different machines. I am using Visual Studio 2010 and Internet Explorer.
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

I am developing a web application where users can draw their own images in a web page using canvas. After it's drawn, this image should be shown in other users' browsers' canvas. Same thing with updates.I am only using javascript. How can i solve this problem using System.net and Asp.net?
View 1 Repliesi have a navigation bar made up of ImageButtons that have their image swapped out on mouse over and back on mouse out. i used this code in the Page_Load handler to do this:
ImageButton1.Attributes.Add("OnMouseOver", "this.src='mouseover.gif'")
ImageButton1.Attributes.Add("OnMouseOut", "this.src='mouseout.gif'")
what i'm trying to do now is get the mouseover image to load when you click the button and are taken to the page. i tried this but it doesn't work:
ImageButton1.Attributes.Add("OnClick", "this.src='mouseover.gif'")
image_selected=ui.ViewProfilePicture(email, con);
try
{
//while (image_selected.Count>=0)
//{
image = image_selected[i];
//Response.ContentType = myReader["MIME"].ToString();
Response.BinaryWrite(image);
mstream.Write(image, 0, image.Length);
Bitmap bitmap = new Bitmap(mstream);
Response.ContentType = "image/Jpeg";
bitmap.Save(Response.OutputStream, ImageFormat.Jpeg);
i m using this code the above method call gives a list of retrivd images in bytes and to convert into images all that code is written it is onlu giving 1 imag and how to data bind a images to Grid thorugh Datatable i want to show 5 images
I have been looking for the best way to obtain the total number images in a folder where the first two characters on the file name are XX and place this number into a variable.So for example - I have a folder containing the following images:
XX-01.jpg
XX-02.jpg
XX-03.jpg
YY-01.jpg
ZZ-01.jpg
So I would populate the variable with 3 in this case.Does anyone know of any way to do this?
