i used a jQuery plugin who try to call three or four method because some of them not implemented in some browser. code is working fine for me and it's work in all browser.when i try to debug the application in visual studio and internet explorer then i found the same errror everytime Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method i see the same error every time. are it is not really so weird that they give me error every time even i put refresh and see error first then see the page in IE. i am trying to disable the script debugging for other and IE in IE but after that they never forget to give me error.well i am not want to go in the depth of this but someone tell if i can stop showing this window in my visual studio 2010.
When viewing an asp.net page in visual studio 2008, the asp.net development server icon shows up in the system tray. It can be stopped by right clicking on it and select "stop". In Visual Studio 2010, I do not see the icon any more. where the asp.net development server is? How to stop it?
I have to manually edit a bunch of HTML and ASP.NET pages that contain primarily content in <p> tags. In VS2010, when I open such a page in the designer it insists on highilighting all the paragraphs; surrounding them with dotted blue rectangles and shading all other paragraphs.
I find this annoying, can I turn these behaviours off?
EDIT
I managed to change the colours by going to Tools, Options, HTML Designer, View and editing the colours for "Layout UI activated border" and "Style application overlay".
when trying to start this in Visual Studio 2010 express I dont get any window of this tool. I wonder why, something seems to be happening as I see two new tray icons. But I cant change anything. I am on a Windows 7 64bit machine. I havent done anything besides installing Visual Web Developer Express 2010.
I am debugging an ASP.Net C# application in Visual Studio 2010, the application is running and execution is currently stopped at a breakpoint. How can I stop the page execution without "Terminate All" or killing the debugging process altogether, similar to what would happen if an unhandled exception was thrown? The "Break All Cntl+Alt+Break" option is grayed out in the Debug menu.
I want to stop the app from running but not have to go through a compile/start again. EDIT: I want execution to stop, not break, so that the page finishes loading and I don't continue running the application from the breakpoint forward. I've looked through the Breakpoints panel, the Debug menu and have right clicked all over but still haven't found the right option.
ALL the server controls are not showing in Visual Studio ASP.net project. It used to be intermittent, I would restart devenv and they would show again(even if the layout was terrible) Anyhow now it's not showing at all. The only change I made to the project was to switch Membership providers to MySql. Even pages that have no reference to Membership don't display.Anything(page wise) that has a server control fails (displayes the message "hresult e_fail when creating com component") even if it's just a label with no programming logic.
I tried to install Visual Studio Prof 2010 trail version in my system, but i got an error saying 'Please remove/uninstall Visual Studio 2010 load test controller' to proceed installation. i uninstalled my previous VS2008 software from system and i could not find anything like 'Remove/Uninstall Visual Studio 2010 load test controller' software in my Add/Remove Programs.
On a webform that was working fine before, all of the sudden most of the controls on the page give me the following error in trying to use the controls in codebehind. Error 18 'DropDownList1' is not declared. It may be inaccessible due to its protection level. C:UsersJohnDocumentsVisual Studio 2010Projects2010App_PagesTestPage1.aspx.vb 29 107 2010
I have an asp.net mvc 1.0 project. I upgraded the project and solution to Visual Studio 2010. However, I do not want to use asp.net mvc 2.0. My app compiles under mvc 1.0. All my references are to 1.0. I have copy local true and i am referencing mvc 1.0 from a lib folder, not the GAC.However I keep getting this error:
No parameterless constructor defined for this object.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.MissingMethodException: No parameterless constructor defined for this object.

Its like it wants to keep using asp.net mvc 2.0, because its complaining about that GetControllerInstance method. This project works fine in vs 2008.
I am getting this error, and cant figure out what the issue is.
Server Error in '/' Application.

Creating a .NET 3.5 website in 2010, and when I attempt to create public properties for a user control I whipped up it is giving me inline error:Visual Basic 9 does not support auto-implemented properties. I can, however, type GET on the next line 2010 populates the property just like it used to. However, when I expose a control property it craps out with a null reference error at runtime.
I created a web application using visual studio 2010 / MVC2 / MSSQL 2008 and it runs fine in my laptop. However when I run the application in the hosting provider it shows the error message below:
Compiler Error Message: CS0308
The hosting provider is [URL] and the link to my web application is [URL] I would like to know how to solve this issue? If anyone know PLEASE let me know how to troubleshoot / fix this issue. Also in case the problem is on the hosting provider, let me know if you know of a free or very affordable hosting provider with support for MVC 2 and MSSQL 2008.
After I imported a VS 2008 web project to VS 2010, I can't view aspx pages that have master pages in design mode. The page design mode displays "error creating control - contentplacehoder1 object reference not set to an instance of an object." The project builds and runs fine though. I have only one master page that all other aspx pages reference and I don't have any nested master pages.
I have been ising TFS 2010 with VS 2010 Ultimately for a couple of months now. I have a client who is using Visual Web 2010, does anyone know if this integrated with TFS easily?
I just recently upgrade my asp.net web project from visual studio 2005 to visual studio 2010. The upgrade was successful with no problems however im missing some features with this project. The One Click Publish feature(which is greyed out) in the header area of Visual Studio 2010 and the Add Config Transforms feature which is no where to be seen when you right click on web.config. When i create a new web project straight from visual studio 2010, these options work fine.
Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 locked up, and when I tried to restart it, it wouldn't load, so I did a devenv.exe /resetuserdata to get it going again. It reset everyhing in my options of the web app/ etc, and now some AJAX conrols don't work such as dragpanel. I assume that it is because something got reset that I haven't enabled again, but can't figure it out.
Im working on a website project with Visual Studio 2010 from 2 different computers (home & work). In Dreamweaver Im used to FTP to upload/download files to/from a webserver to syncronice my files on the current computer Im working on.What is best option in Visual Studio 2010 to sync project files between home & work computers? I have seen there is a built in FTP, but seems only it can upload files, limited functionality?
