My website has been created with a CSS/HTML frame work that has been integrated into an ASP.NET website. Inside of a ContentPlaceHolder, I have a simple login form. The catch is that I am using the onclick event of an image to submit the form. It normally works pretty straight forward, but this time I am having an issue.
I have to stick another form before the real form to make onclick="document['loginform'].submit()" actually work. This should not be the case, of course, but I was unable to find any solutions to it on the web.
I do some stuff with dynamic DropDownLists. A choice at one level makes the next level appear and so on.
When I open up an old report for editing, the first level is not editable so I set that DropDownList to Enabled=false (still dynamically in code).
My problem is that when I press save (a LinkButton) I first come to my OnInit as usual and check the Page.Request.Form for my DropDownLists, but then the first list is not represented.
But if I change one of the lists when editing, a postback is made, then there is no problem at all with the Page.Request.Form, the first list is there all the time.
Is there some fundamental difference with causing a PostBack from a LinkButton vs a Dynamically Added DropDownList?
I have two radio buttons that are disabled with javascript when the page loads. RadioButton1 is checked by default. When I click the button to do a postback, the RadioButton1 is no longer checked.
I'm using the code the above and running into an error i can't quite figure out. Maybe its something simple or maybe it's something that can't be done. Not sure.
I created a user control (button) that references a javascript file like this:
string url = ResolveClientUrl("./Scripts/main.js"); function SubmitButton_Click(e) { try { var src = typeof (event) != 'undefined' ? event.srcElement : e.target;
[Code]....
The error that i am running into is this:
The buttons in the update panel work everytime without any problems. When i click a button in the update panel and then click a button outside the update panel it chockes on this line of the above javascript.
src.aspnet_onclick();
The value of aspnet_click() is 'SubmitButton_Click(e)'. This is incorrect which causes it to choke.
The value should be 'onclick(event)'
For some reason when click the button inside the update panel and then the button outside the update panel causes this javascript error but I am not sure why the aspnet_onclick() is incorrect.
when the link button is disabled the javascript error message comesup just by clicking it.When it is disabled it shouldnt come up not sure why it is coming up.
asp:LinkButton ID="DeleteCategoryLink" CssClass="link" CausesValidation="false" runat="server" Text="Delete" OnClientClick="javascript:return confirm('Are you sure you want to do this?');" />
OK, I have exhausted myself troubleshooting this bug. The crazy thing is, I think I had it working months ago, and now it does not. All I want to do is submit FrmCart when the "Update Total" link is clicked. Below is the code.
I have one grid view that contains some template columns. In this, the first column contains check boxes named as Read, fourth and fifth column contains asp:link button. If the user clicks on the read check box, both link buttons should be enabled (Initially it is in disabled mode). I used this JavaScript code for disabling.
function EnablePermissoin(chkB, cellNumber1, cellNumber2) { var IsChecked = chkB.checked; if (IsChecked) { [code]....
I've got two linkbuttons on a masterpage. It works fine on all pages apart from page I have a form where if I click on one of the link buttons, then the wrong javascript event is fired. It is firing the button on the form if I click on the button on the masterpage.
There are two user controls, which are built dynamically.
In the first control, I am adding a link button, and trying to attach a click event on the same. But the event is not fired.
Actually the main goal is, when the link is clicked, based on which one is clicked, I need to show second control (the values on the new controls are based on the first controls link button that is clicked).
If I use javascript, I will need to use ActiveX or is there any other way to instantiate the second control using javascript
I have a link button on my page which has both an Oncommand event and an OnclientClickevent.
The idea is that the oncommand updates some data via a postback and redisplays the page with the updates. The onclientclick event opens a new window.
The new window is named so there is only ever one instance of it.
What I'm trying to do is this.
Open a new window (if its not already opened) and ensure it is on top of the parent window. The new window is a smaller size so the parent window is still visible beneath. On the first occurance the new window opens above, however when I refocus on the parent to click again, the new window updates but does not refocus by putting it back on top.
I'm using the latest RC with asp.net mvc 3, and have turned on unobtrusive javascript validation and added the necessary scripts to the page. All of the validation works perfectly, but when I try to submit the page, it simply doesn't post. If I turn unobtrusive javascript off in the web.config without making any other changes, everything works perfectly fine.
We have a site were trusted users can add some Javascript tracking code into a text box for submitting, so naturally we have turned off Validation by adding the ValidateRequest="false" into the Page Directive.
However it we seem to be getting the error again all of a sudden : A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client , Now we cant add ValidateRequest="false" into the Config or the Master page this page inherits from. So how do I allow Javascript to be posted, what is overridding the ValidateRequest?
we are working on one of our site which is having lots of javascript code.but while testing one of our tester has disabled javascript in browser.so in this scenario javascript code is not working properly. So can any one let me know is thr any work around to run javascript code while browser javascript is disabled.
am trying to get one of the webforms in my application to link to another website, outside of my application. I can get the page to load as a new webpage in my browser easily but I need to keep my masterpage in view.
I have an aspx page that contains a checkbox, and a button. The button is disabled by default until the user checks the checkbox. It looks like when I add the attribute enabled="false" to the button, it removes the validation. When the button is enabled, I still want the validation to work. Here is the code and markup for the different parts.
Checkbox:
<asp:CheckBox runat="server" ID="termsCheckBox" /> <label style="display: inline;"> I agree to the Terms & Conditions</label> [code]....
1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.
In my gridview i am returning values from database in which 'filelocation' is containing location of pages over my server and i want to use coustom linkbutton in templete field to raise a event and set session variable and then redirect to that page .
My question is how to get value fron 'filelocation' coloum in gried view when a linkbutton in clicked and onclick is fired and also set session value at taht point.
